    Wait, while watching this video I think I just came up with a crazy theory. If like you said, the timelines that make up the Sacred Timeline are ones where no Kang is created, what is one thing required for there to be a Kang that is notably missing from the MCU timeline, Reed Richards. Kang is supposed to be a descendant of Reed, and therefore Kang can't exist without him. What if He Who Remains' monitoring of the timeline is the in universe reason why we havent seen the Fantastic Four yet!

    • @Sienisota
      @Sienisota ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like it. You could even add mutants to that: Maybe Kang has a lineage full of mutants, so a timeline without mutants is safe

    Owen Wilson and Tom Hiddleston have great chemistry whenever they're on screen together as Mobius and Loki. Great casting in this show all around. Also, it's interesting that Loki's two biggest allies in the TVA right now, Mobius and OB, are both named after things that are circular and infinite (the mobius strip and the snake that eats its own tail). Circular time is definitely a big theme in this show for sure.

    • @AbitofEverything4U

      Yes, I love Wilson and Hiddleston together...they are amazing...and great observation about both Mobius and OB's names evoking circular images. Love that!

    I rewatched Season 1 the night before season 2 premiered and it honestly felt as if 1 was still playing which I enjoyed
    Also I definitely cheered when Loki (accidentally) knocked Mobius back before the skin ripping

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, this season perfectly picked up right after season 1. And I agree, that scene with Mobius and Loki was so tense. I honestly feared for them both, even though they had to survive...it was still so well done and so suspenseful!

  • @ramihajyounesmontoya5194
    @ramihajyounesmontoya5194 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Very interesting points about the timeslipping origin and I think this happened because Sylvie pushed him through a time door and he's temporally anchored by the TemPad to where they were but since the Citadel at the End of Time lies beyond time and space, it makes it impossible to timeloop between these two. Whenever his temporal aura is trying to loop him back to where he was, it freaks out because it can't find the place so it glitches him through time instead, like frantically rolling through a phone book looking for the number that called 😂. You mentioned some fine pieces of detail that i haven't seen other breakdowns mention. Nice work!

    • @ramihajyounesmontoya5194
      @ramihajyounesmontoya5194 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also, another point on how time works differently in the TVA is this: maybe since the TVA is supposedly removed from the timestream, it doesn't abide by the same time laws as the timestream. From the TVA, they can go to different instances in time across the Sacred Timeline, the past, present, and future. But since the TVA is supposedly outside of it, time can only go forward on a unidirectional, singular axis. How the S1 finale disrupts that, or if it did at all (maybe time doesn't move differently at all in the TVA and it's just part of the illusion) is beyond me this late at night. Also, I definitely see the logic in your theory and i AGREE.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for the great feedback on the vid. I like your idea that Loki may still be anchored to the Citadel at the End of Time and since he can't go back there, he slips all over time instead. Very interesting theory. Really appreciate you watching the vid and sharing your thoughts!

    Broxton, Oklahoma is also the hometown of Sylvie Lushton in the comics, who along with Lady Loki is one of the inspirations for Sylvie Laufeydottir in the MCU.

      Ah! Very interesting. Okay, that makes alot of sense in that case. Thanks for sharing that!

    • @WhiteRaven696
      @WhiteRaven696 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AbitofEverything4U Yeah, Sylvie Lushton is an interesting character, she’s either a human whom Loki gave Asgardian powers to or a creation of Loki made to think she was a human given Asgardian powers. Either way, she later modeled herself after Amora the Enchantress, calling herself Enchantress. She wanted to be a Young Avenger but sadly was forced into a villain role by everyone around her (much like MCU Sylvie’s heroic aspirations as a child). Eventually, she faced off with Amora who banished her to one of the Ten Realms, telling her that if she survived the two could become friends. There was also a very awkward arc where she tried to seduce Wiccan but failed because duh, he’s gay. She didn’t take it well.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh wow...lots of interesting stories with the Sylvie Lushton character. Seems they are definitely taking elements of her character from the comics and adapting them in the Loki series.

    OMG I was waiting for your breakdown and it was absolutely worth the wait! I love how you look into every detail, I'm so excited for this new Loki season! I hope that we know more about the founding of the TVA because I'm sure that He who remains didn't tell us the whole truth, I'm sure that it was a time when the five Kang's rule the TVA together and something happened to HWR isolate them and exiles Kang prime. And about the Loom, I just find it so so interesting that OB says that the Loom is like the heart of the TVA, and I think that the whole thing with circles it's just a whole loop that happens again and again just like the meaning of OB's name. He must be more important than we think because "Kang" put him there to continue to operate and repair the TVA, like from where did he know all that TVA important stuff? I don't know, my head it's just full of theories, thank you for the video 💜

      Oh, and you asked a great question the other day about how Kang could end up in the Quantum Realm (QR) at the point that he did. I'll be honest, that's always bugged me abit, as it seems clear that the Kang in Quantumania was exiled as part of the multiversal war and yet Janet entered the QR after the multiversal war was over and even so, she still entered prior to Kang entering (makes my head hurt).
      I think you nailed it that the QR is outside of time and space, so the QR is very unpredictable and thus it likely ended up being random at which point Kang entered the QR. I wonder if they'll ever explain it in the movies, but I suspect the answer is that the QR is an unpredictable place outside time and space and all bets are off when trying to fully understand it.

I think I had commented that and then deleted it because I finished the rest of the video and you brought up the point about The Exiled Kang being sent to the QR before the sacred timeline was established and that’s how Janet could have ran into him even while the Sacred Timeline was operating due to it being removed from time!

    *Me looking at the video length* "Ah sheet, here we go again." Anyway ... Loki S1 and S2 are definitely back to back. As far as the TemPad, ScreenCrush made a great video about how you need that TemPad device to prevent time slipping which since Sylvie has it is not doing it herself. I am curious what B-15 meant by "this unit". The past bit I'm fairly certain is connected to the previous Multiversal War. As far as the Director's comments about "alternate TVA" isn't entirely inaccurate. I did not catch the Casey thing though. There is one other dilemma with time travel in Endgame and that's how Steve didn't return as he was meant to and that has never really been explained HOW that happened.
    Also X-5 is Zaniac?! And the recording date? I never saw that either. I think Renslayer might of mentioned the End of Time in S1 because she definitely was aware of the Void. Wait Loki season 6?! But on a serious note, I never considered the flashing light could be something more than what we're seeing. I don't think the Quantumania PCS is after S2 but definitely after S1. They need to release an Official TVA book for us to buy! I initially thought Sylvie pruned him but a Future Loki has been predicted by ScreenCrush. Also your crazy theory actually sounds plausible.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      You know you love the longer vids...admit it! 🤣 I'm trying to decide if the time slipping is due to loki not having the tempad or if sylvie accidentally time twisted him and activated the time door at the same time, thus making him jump all over time. I mean, Sylvie had no idea how to use HWR's tempad, so who knows what she pushed. Can't believe I said season 6...ugh! As for the QM PCS, the reason I think it's after Season 2 of Loki is I would imagine the Kang Council would already be back in the citadel again, if the PCS had already happened. I think the loom is still preventing the sacred timeline from being exposed to the kang council, but that it will fail by the end of the season, but just my theory. And I suspect it is indeed a future Loki that prunes our Loki since the trailer shows two Loki's in a few scenes while he's timeslipiping. What a great series!

    Loved the episode, been waiting for this one for quite a while.
    So, first: I don't think Zaniac and X-5 are the exact same person, I think Zaniac is a variant, just like we saw teacher Renslayer in season 1, and maybe his variant does something related to the Sylvie plot that prompts the TVA (or maybe even just Loki and Mobius) to arrest him.
    I loved the part where Loki listens to the old recording of He Who Remains. The way it was presented to us, it looked like Loki thought he was talking to him through the recording, which must've been incredibly scary for him, thinking that he would see him again. Also, You're correct about Dox not knowing about the End of Time. I don't know how Loki didn't mention it, but I guess he was just really shaken after what happened. It's definitely a hint towards the direction of her character.
    Loved your theory about immortality with the Quantumania book. If time really does exist in the TVA, it would make total sense that their consciousness was being pulled into their bodies from minutes or even seconds ago, that's really smart.
    As for the time travel stuff, oh it's 100% butterfly effect, no question about it. I remember theorizing back when Deadpool 2 came out that because they all exist in the same multiverse, depending on the time travel device, time travel could work differently (butterfly effect, branched timelines, or closed loop). This basically confirms it, and I'm kinda glad we finally have an explanation for Ms. Marvel's time travel rules being different than Endgame's, being different from Loki's.
    Ke Huy Quan was fantastic as O.B., great addition to the cast.
    As for the scene where Loki gets pruned, I think it's gotta be future Loki who prunes his past self in order to succeed. Like you said, he saw Sylvie from the front, but got pruned from behind, so someone else needed to have done it, and since we know Loki and Sylvie are eventually gonna reunite, it makes sense for them to be working together on this exact thing. Heck, it could even be future Mobius on the phone to make sure Loki was in the exact position he needed to be (or Loki and Mobius's roles reversed).
    Finally, I like your theory about the end of time, but I think it needs a bit more evidence in order to be considered true. Great theory though, and great video as well!

    Wow, just like the episode such a great video. I was really glad to watch someone else's reaction and not sound crazy for having all these theories and noticing small details like the very similar X-men doors. There was so so much in this episode it was really impressive how much they fit into one episode without it feeling crowded or underdeveloped, I hope that continues.
    I wanna throw this theory out there curious what your thoughts are: I think your dead wrong about Loki being not so far into the future, I think he's very far in the future nearing the end of time. To me that makes the most sense since either everyone was gone or everyone was on a rush out of there (can't remember what it was for the life of me, there was too much to remember in this episode). Also less sure on this one but my guess is that Loki got pruned by... himself. I'm not sure why but I have this gut feeling that him being pruned is going to tie into the same scene from the trailer where two Lokis are together.
    Also I'm not sure I'm on board with that theory at the end, it would be really cool but it doesn't quite fit for me. I think that was just a really good case of foreshadowing.
    But man the one thing that I really love about this episode is that it does some stuff with time that I've never seen before, I love time travel, I watch doctor who, legends of tomorrow when that was on, I love endgame, back to future the list goes on and on but I've never seen something convey the butterfly effect in real time before. And not just that but seeing how the TVA is affected by being sucked into the timeline from the death of he who remains all at once, in the past, present and future was so cool. It seemed like you think something else was going on since he who remains was on statues in the past but let me remind you that the end of time where he who remains was outside of time, so his death in my opinion affects everything all at once, past present and future. The same way that opening up the multiverse in season 1 caused things like captain carters world to exist even though that was in the past too. Just my thoughts totally ok if you disagree.
    And don't worry I'm just teasing you for this one, but man 32:36 we're getting 6 seasons of Loki???? Are you secretly a kang variant from the future? it would sure explain how you know so much. I really hope we get more though, I love this show and it could run for 10 seasons for all I care I'd be so down.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL...can't believe I said season 6. Sigh. Well, I would indeed be down for 10 seasons, so let's lobby Feige for it! I do like the idea of Loki pruning himself. That makes alot of sense and fits with him running into himself as seen in the trailer. As for how far in the future he went, it seems like it wasn't too far because the word "skin" hadn't covered over with any dust and seems pretty freshly written (like within a few days at most). But we'll have to see as the season unpacks. I love the time travel aspects and I agree, i've never seen butterfly effect shown that clearly before. The reason I wonder if the full effect of HWR's death has been felt yet, is his death simply meant the branches were no longer being pruned...but the loom was still working (for now) and thus the sacred timeline was still hidden from the rest of the Kang council. So I suspect the Quantumania PCS therefore hasn't happened yet, but that's just my theory at this point. Thanks so much for all your great comments. Really appreciate it!

  • @krzyszwojciech
    @krzyszwojciech ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A clear editing showing Back to the Future type time travel would involve things shifting into reality as we look at them in the scene. Here, they were playfully hinting at it, but keeping it vague, leaving it equally consistent with a pure time loop option. Lost tv series had the same editing approach at one point iirc, while discussing the general theme of freedom of choice vs destiny. Though in the end, they were closer to predestination, or at least to acceptance/choice to go along with what was planned for characters by the providence.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I don't disagree that it could still be closed loop time travel, but it would be so strange for them to intentionally trick us like that. Plus I don't know that any of the things we saw would have resulted in a shifting of reality. They cleverly avoided showing us what happened to the floor in Casey's room, as Loki just timeshifted to the present after the new crack would have suddenly appeared. And with OB, nothing needed to shift, as it was either him just learning new information or just realizing the extractor was under his desk. So I personally think that it is butterfly effect, but I agree that it would be nice if they tell us for sure. Anyway, thanks so much for all the excellent feedback on the vid. Really appreciate it!

    This Loki episode was some of the best on-screen MCU material I've seen in a long time! I really don't know what's going on at this point, but I love your theories. I guess I never heard you mention your theory before about Kamala's bangle being Kang tech, but that pretty much just blew my mind! And makes me wonder if the Ten Rings were also Kang tech, and maybe those things are just components of some device that broke apart in the future and got thrown back in time by accident. Maybe the vibranium meteorite that hit Wakanda was also part of that, for all we know. (Ancient Wakandans wouldn't know the difference between a meteorite and a piece of 30th century tech hitting the earth.) Okay, that was a bit of a tangent there, but I'm too tired to think about timeline branches and time slipping and butterfly effects right now.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I think you are right that the 10 rings tech is part of what powers Kang's time chair that we saw in Quantumania. And you are making me wonder if I just discussed Kamala's bracelets being Kang tech in the discord server but not in an actual video. But yeah, I have always wondered if that's what let her do that time travel that impacted her own past. Great video, as always! I was waiting for you.
    Speaking of your last theory, I like it a lot actually. Initially I thought of a possible counterargument, but I realized that it was wrong, so I'll omit it from here 😂
    I loved this episode. I was confused at first, especially because of the Back to the Future style time traveling, but yeah, I do believe that there are multiple time streams that can run simultaneously, and the one in which the TVA and the Citadel at the End of Time are located must be different from the one the Sacred Timeline is located. One way of proving this would be to look back at what HWR told Loki and Sylvie when they met him back at the end of Season 1: they asked him what was going to happen and he said that he didn't know. He already knew everything up until that point (because he had planned for all of it already), but he had no idea what was going to happen next, from the moment they showed up at his door onwards. So, coupling this with your theory, that makes me think that the larger time stream, the one where the TVA and HWR operate, is in fact linear, as it should be. The Sacred Timeline was instead *forced* into being circular by HWR through the Temporal Loom, which basically takes the raw time resulting by whatever happens at the end of time and weaving it back into the beginning.
    And if this is true, then does that mean that O.B. knows about it? I don't think his memory has ever been wiped either, and given that he was the one who built the Temporal Loom, does that mean that he knows who Kang is and what he's doing, but just doesn't care? Or is he being manipulated into believing something else? Maybe he lived through the Multiversal War too and might know something about that as well! Wild stuff!
    By the way, I find it extremely funny that the manual that O.B. wrote, that is supposed to contain all the instructions and details of every machine and software in the TVA, looks like it's only 70/80 pages long, at best. O.B. must be very good at being succint 😂

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great feedback as always. I love OB so much. And I agree, I've very curious to know the full extent of OB's knowledge. Depending on how long he's been down there, he may or many not know about Kang, He Who Remains, etc. But I think he has to know something, as he seems to know alot about that loom, which is of course a critical piece of the entire TVA sacred timeline. Can't wait to see where the series is going from here. And yeah, that TVA book is very succinct. Dude knows how to say alot of important stuff with very few words!

    They carried forward the vibes, character rapport, and quality of the 1st season, and it felt like we never left.
    The Time Loom makes things very interesting.
    It seemed like the TVA could've been in a pocket dimension before we saw this episode, but now it almost seems like the TVA is in a "Time Dimension" or something, for raw Time to be seen and interacted with.
    O.B. (as everyone has said) is so fun, and I wonder how he worked for over 400 years, seemingly without breaks.
    Also, imagine you're sitting in the War Room, and the guy you thought killed himself, warped in, grabbed a Timestick, and killed your wall, proclaiming "That! That is who did this!" and is then led out of the room.
    About the bit where that lady general knows about something happening at the End of Time, I thijk it was something discussed with Ravonna & Sylvie, before Sylvie then pruned herself. Ravonna or Miss Minutes claimed there was a ship they could take to the Void, and it seemed a well-known thing that there was a Void at the End of Time that everything pruned went to. (Which, btw, seems to contradict the explanation of removing you from time, unless somehow the Void is really outside of Time, and is a combination of everything possible, and people just perceive it as physical enough to survive? And how does the Void work in conjunction with HWR's Citadel? It all is surrounded by the Timeline bundle, without evidence of the Loom, or the TVA, and seems to be a hidden "layer" to the Void. There's still a lot to unpack here, and I hope to find out more.

    The sacred timeline is probably a giant ouroboros where the beginning of every timeline starts at the loom and eventually every timeline is destroyed or ends because the universe ends after an astronomical amount of time and is refined into the timeline repeating again like a never ending loop. The branched timelines probably eventually all die out over time and because there’s so many new timelines it overloads the time loom.

    Yeah, I belive the final explanation of the Temporal Loom is correct: this is how He Who Remains is able to maintain the Sacred Timeline once it reaches the Void, which, we need to remember, it's something HWR created to be the TVA dumpster and allowing him to use Alioth after the Multiversal War.
    As you can see, when Loki gets pruned, the aura extractor pulls him out from the End of Time.
    It's also nice they are specifying that Sylvie is in a Branched Timeline, which, of course, confirms once again that an Alternate Timeline (a Branch) and a Universe are two different things.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I really like the idea of the void dumping out raw time, which is then pulled back into the loom to be new timelines, starting the entire process over again. And I agree, we need separate terms for two universes not connected directly by a branch verses two universes tied to each other due to branch. Rather than calling one a universe and one a timeline (when both are entire universes that have a timeline), I just wish they used totally separate terms like "tethered" vs. "untethered" or something like that.

    All this talk about black holes and spaghettification is very interesting to me. Firstly, it’s probably worth pointing out (because like you, a couple others TH-camrs have also mentioned the Quantumania scene, as well as what Scarlet Witch did to Mr. Fantastic in MoM), the spaghettification associated with black holes in real-life science does not look like that, where it almost looks like a paper shredder slicing someone into strips or like string cheese. Rather, their entire body would be stretched into a *single* long strand of spaghetti (spaghetto?). The Wikipedia page on spaghettification (because yes it's a real thing in physics, not just sci-fi!) has a simple graphic. In 2018, we were able for the first time to directly capture images of a star being spaghettified as it was being eaten by a black hole.
    Secondly, we’ve heard several references in the MCU to Einstein-Rosen bridges, more popularly known as wormholes (MCU wiki has a whole page on this). It’s evoked as the “scientific” explanation for the Bifrost and Chitauri invasion portal, among other things. In real-life theoretical physics, a wormhole is essentially two black holes (or technically, a black hole and its opposite, a white hole) joined at the singularity, which must be kept “open” using exotic matter with negative mass, the main reason they’re still firmly in the realm of theory (and sci-fi) for now. But when we see travel through a wormhole depicted in the MCU, specifically the Bifrost in Ragnarok, no spaghettification takes place. It could be that spaghettification isn’t observable from the POV of someone traveling through a black hole, only to someone outside it, but it’s interesting nonetheless how in this episode, they specifically reference spaghettification TWICE, once spoken and once in writing on the floor outside the big Time Loom room door.
    Thirdly (somewhat related to both the last two), just over 10 years ago, real-life theoretical physicists had a bit of a crisis when they realized there was a paradox in our understanding of what happens when things go into a black hole. I don’t claim to fully understand it, or what the ultimate resolution was, if any, but no less than New York Times reported on it at the time. Will post some links below, but sometimes TH-cam auto-deletes comments with links as spam, so I’ll do that in a separate comment. You can also Google ‘black hole firewall paradox’. Sometimes real life is just as strange and fascinating as, if not more than, science fiction!

      I think the significance of “Branched Timeline” appearing in the post-credits scene title card is that this is the first time branches have been allowed to exist and grow alongside the main/“sacred” timeline, separate from the threads “within” the sacred timeline you’ve previously discussed. This only became possible after HWR died and/or the TVA stopped pruning branches. Even based on the little graphic in the title card, it looks like this branch has being growing alongside the main branch for some time, despite being quite far from it (say, outside the red lines), which wouldn’t have happened before when it would’ve been pruned long before it got there.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, while I do appreciate how the MCU taps into real science to some extent, you are right to point out that the science isn't always depicted accurately. But it's still really cool that they at least try to base at least some of their lore on real science. I like that they said that time travel would create a branch, which is a real quantum physics theory, for example. And of course you mention several other good examples of them tip-toeing into real science, but then altering it as needed for the story. For some reason, though, I didn't see the comments with links, even in my spam folder. Not sure what happened there, but YT is pretty weird about links. Anyway, excellent feedback on the vid. I loved this episode, OB is already my favorite character from this season. I would love to see the last episode of the season we see Sylvie and Loki working together to prune Loki that we saw happen in this episode. I will be interested in learning more about that past TVA and how their memories were all changed but not OB because it feels like Loki was sent back to when He Who Remains was out and about and not when the timekeepers were the figures. Another thing that I have seen is that X-5 has scars on his arms in the same place as his chest plate like he was sliced while having his hands in his collar, it would be interesting seeing if when Loki starts time slipping again that he is the reason for the scars, I don't trust him or the general. I love the theory in the end, the end is the beginning, its like the big crunch theory where in the end everything will be brought together and then explode again in the big bang, just instead of a spherical shape it is a circle.

    I agree that the TVA aren't outside of time. Time clearly affects them, they see timelines branching in real time as opposed to the past branches existing solely in the past, etc. However, they may be outside the main timeline.
    Basically after watching the season premiere of Loki S2, my new understanding of time is that time and all of its potential branches exist as an amorphous, nebulous, non-physical blob. Each Kang variant created a Temporal Loom to fashion the immaterial time into a physical timeline. And as a result of that physical timeline creation, decisions that created branches are all wound together into this physical timeline but eventually they break off into a physical branch. That's why the TVA doesn't see these branches as having already happened. They did already happen, but the Temporal Loom delayed their manifestation as physical objects in a physical timeline. And the Temporal Loom allows these branches to be used as bridges to other universes (in addition to powering the TVA). But He Who Remains decided to prune the branches that separate from the timeline in order to isolate the "Sacred Timeline" away from the rest of the multiverse.
    And through all of that the TVA either doesn't exist within the timeline (because it exists outside of the Temporal Loom that is creating the timeline) or it exists at the very beginning of the timeline (since the Temporal Loom is part of the TVA that turns time into a physical timeline).
    I believe this is closed loop time travel rather than the butterfly effect. Loki was always responsible for that crack being there; he didn't change anything. This also fits with the double-meaning of the episode's title, "Ourobouros", a closed loop with a snake whose head is eating its tail (in addition to being the name of OB). I do agree that the way OB's scene was written and shot that it looked like butterfly effect, but I don't expect that will mechanically make sense as we get to the end of this season.
    Also Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure is totally closed loop time travel, not butterfly effect. :) They were saying they needed to go back in time to put something in place to fulfill the events of the past. That's why Ted's dad's keys are missing at the beginning of the movie before any time travel has even happened and how they speak to their past selves before their past selves have time traveled. (Granted, I haven't seen the third movie, so maybe they changed the rules in it., but the first two were closed loop..)
    We know from the trailer that Miss Minutes is coming back, so I think she's just loyal to Kang/He Who Remains, and her absence isn't so much due to his death but rather his orders. She'll come back once she's fulfilled his orders, whatever they may be.
    I really like that immortality explanation.
    I don't think Alioth is turning the things it eats back into raw time. We're told that Alioth is capable of destroying time and matter. Of course that runs contrary to the second law of thermodynamics, and would seemingly prevent a new beginning of time to erupt from the end of time as a circle would suggest, so I'm more of the mind that Alioth concentrates everything he eats into singularities, like a black hole, and he will naturally create six singularities from everything he has eaten that will then go on to become the Infinity Stones of the reborn universe.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow...that was some amazing feedback. You've definitely given me lots to consider as we get the second episode tonight. I'm hoping they do give us explanations to all of the mysteries, such as how time in the TVA works, where the TVA is located in relation to the circle of the sacred timeline, whether it is butterfly effect or closed loop time travel (good point about Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure!), what on earth Ms. Minutes really is, and what role Alioth played in all of this. Really appreciate you watching the vid and leaving your theories. Loved reading them all!

  • @collizlemynizl
    @collizlemynizl ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think the timeline branching is happening simultaneously in the different TVA “time periods.” All of time is happening at once from the perspectives of the TVA and the citadel, so He Who Remains death is affecting the TVA the same way at every moment of the TVA’s history, which is now being altered by the events of 1x06 and 2x01.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I totally agree with that. Very well said. And I suspect that the sacred timeline is still isolated for now, but that the loom will shut down from a power overload and that will allow the Kang Council to be able to see the sacred timeline(s) and that will lead to the post-credit scene in Quantumania. Can't wait to see where this season takes us!

  • @hypercortical7772
    @hypercortical7772 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Fan Theory: I think He Who Remains has 3 criteria for including timelines in the sacred timeline.
    1. No Kang timelines. For obvious reasons
    2. No Wiccan timelines. Because Wanda's son in the comics supposedly a massive threat to him.
    3. No Mutants. (maybe not none at all, but suppressed)
    The way I understand things is that Wanda hearing billy and tommy calling out to her in the end credit scene of WandaVision, took place because the multiverse was unleashed. As for mutants, sure we do technically have mutants in the 616, but not as much as we should. and Even Kamala's mutant abilities seem to be somehow latent without the use of the bangles.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      I like that thought. It would explain why there are no mutants until after HWR died. I also think that on your rule #1, it explains why there is no Fantastic Four in the sacred timeline, as Nathanial Richards is a descendent of Reed!

  • @krzyszwojciech
    @krzyszwojciech ปีที่แล้ว +1

    20:45 The concept of "there's no past" or "outside of time" is relatively simple: only one, self-transforming present moment exists *physically* (past or future moments don't, and so, you can't time travel to somewhere that doesn't exist). Obviously, Mobius was wrong, or at least now he's wrong as things may have changed after HWR let go of control.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well said...yes, I am really wondering if there was no "past" before HWR died and then after that, it allowed the element of time to creep into the TVA. Hope they answer that for us as the series goes on.

    34:44 I have a question about this, if they could always construct something that could withstand other timelines why not do that? It could be he who remains didn’t want to risk it but at the same time, he seems like the kind of guy to let people live and also I feel like that would solve all the problems with the kangs.

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      My guess is that at first that was no need to create a loom like that, as all the Kangs got along and worked together. However, when the war broke out, HWR used Alioth to ultimately win the war and at that point, he constructed the loom to protect his sacred timeline from the other Kangs. At least that's my understanding. Thoughts?

    • @The_Meme_Man.
      @The_Meme_Man. ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AbitofEverything4U I think that’s a good way to put it but saying that couldn’t we technically call he who remains the villain? He wanted a whole timeline to himself he made the sacred timeline to keep away from other versions of him but we could also say that he was protecting them but what is living without free will and this also makes me wonder if the other kangs have timelines and what those look like

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      Right...HWR is a fascinating character. He walled the sacred timeline off from the others, to let them create all the chaos they wanted. So in a way he was a villain for letting their evil continue. But you could also look at him like a parent that knows they can't solve all the issues in the world, but they do want to protect their child, so they build a nice house that provides safety, they put up an alarm system, and they keep the doors locked at night and the alarm set. To the child, their parent is a hero. Wild, huh?

  • @SchellShocker79
    @SchellShocker79 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have tons of thoughts for you but here’s a little theory that I’ve been thinking about.
    There’s a previous version of the TVA that everyone there is the same but people forget what happened.
    Sylvie has said that she’s been running her entire life, and since she’s asgardian that is thousands of years presumably. When Sylvie asked Renslayer what her event was, she said she doesn’t remember. What if she had an event in a PREVIOUS version of the TVA. That would explain why no one remembers a female variant. And maybe her escaping could have something to do with the branching in the previous TVA.
    If the previous TVA had a massive timeline spike due to a female Loki escaping, then when he who remains resets the tva he could’ve added to their directive to prune all female lokis, and that could be why the lokis in the void have NEVER met a female Loki.
    Kinda a far fetched theory but I’m curious to know your thoughts

    • @AbitofEverything4U
      @AbitofEverything4U  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very interesting theory. One fascinating point you made is that Sylvie was likely pruned a long time ago, as she made it sounds like she was older than Loki. So that's interesting. Also, the idea that she was pruned before their memories were wiped makes sense, as Mobius also didn't remember pruning an alligator when he met that variant in the void so it seems something made him forget some of the variants that were pruned. I'm so curious to see how those 63 branches impacted things, as I think maybe Sylvie could have caused that issue, as you allude to. Lots to be unpacked in the coming episodes. Great comment and feedback as always!
