This coastal rain walk to Start Point Lighthouse is the walk I made earlier on this day for another rain recording of the lighthouse at dawn. Start Point lighthouse in South Devon, UK, was built in 1836 and is located on one of the most exposed peninsulas on the English Coastline. Whilst walking back from an early morning spent perched on the rocks recording the rain by the lighthouse I realised that the walk along the coastal path was in itself very calming and relaxing. So once I had taken my main gear back to the car I set off again to create this recording as I walked to the lighthouse and back again.
There was a very strong wind blowing onshore which I was sheltered from mostly whilst on this path. I would have normally continued on around the coastline but the wind and rain was so strong on the other side of the cliffs that it would have ruined the recording. So this is just a simple walking journey in the rain along a path to Start Point Lighthouse and back. Enjoy :)
