Hi Hon. You're very brave, i've been out in those streets after dark in teeming rain with just a short skirt and hi heels, it's no fun even with an umbrella!. Liked it though. Tell you what, when you're warmed up and brave enough to go back, why not do the same idea but round Whitechapel and the East End. Now i know that area too and after dark even in dry weather, i always got an uneasy feeling. Good luck!

So beautiful I had to wipe a tear…In 1970-71 I was a nurse at St.Thomas Hospital. London was very different then, but that night walk in the rain brought it all back..

Growing up in the south west of the UK this kind of weather evokes many memories for me. It makes me remember things like waking up early for school on miserable monday mornings in the dead of winter. Stepping out of my front door and that splash of sideways rain hits you and you feel the cold snap at your extremities. Walking to school it would still almost feel dark because the low rainclouds and the mist would often block out the rising sun so it looked like somebody shining a torch way off in the distance. I used to feel like I was living inside a cloud sometimes. Even back then as a kid I always felt there was a vague melancholy beauty to it. It was like ghosts made of weather swirlling around me.
When you finally reached the Covent Garden area, I immediately thought: "Oh, Eliza Doolittle can show up at any time and start singing All I want is a room somewhere, far away from the cold night air!" Greetings from sunny (and sometimes rainy too, and, believe me, even snowy) Brazil!

Rainy night in London looks very beautiful and calming thanks for taking us with you for this walk, i enjoyed
I just love this. Like so many I just love watching the rain come down and the sound.
Beautiful lighting and reflections, this surely is the art of night walking. Big thanks for getting out there in the heavy rain at 4am! Think we can hear your soaked boots or shoes sloshing by Wardour Street.
Thank you Steve, well my boots were certainly soaked, as all of me was by the end.
Thursday, June 23, 2022. It's a sweltering afternoon here in Southern California. This video was soothing and made it easier to do household work. Did a lot of that in the kitchen such as chopping up veggies, fruits and more.
