  • Angular Momentum plays an important role not only in Classical Mechanics, but also in Quantum Physics.
However, many times students find it hard to keep track of the different aspects of angular momentum in Quantum systems, more specifically Quantization. There is Quantization of both direction and magnitude of both Orbital and Spin Angular Momentum.
What is Quantization of Angular Momentum?
    What is magnitude Quantization?
    What is Space Quantization?
In this video, I discuss all these things..

      Sir 🙋 I have a question.
As space Quantization depends on L and L depends on n. So if n has higher value , L could have
more possible direction. So can we say that if n approach infinity L could also have infinite possible direction. Further, Can we say that at highest n value L is not quantized.
If so, can we relate it to macroworld like that of earth.

    • @pankajgupta-ox8sw
      @pankajgupta-ox8sw 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@tarabhatt8082 as n increase, radius also increase and no. of possible L also increases but value of ml always varry from -N .....--1, 0 ,+1......+N in purely discreat manner in all situations.
      Example- say n= 10then l=0,1,2,3....9
      For l=0, ml= 0
      For l=1,ml=-1,0,+1
      .......
      For l=9, ml= -9.....-1,0,+1......+9
Similarly you can think for any large value of n or L.
Hence here you see discreatness is not going to break however large L may be.
Remember this is not like Bohr energy model which looses discreatness as n goes higher and higher.
