Backstory:
The first flight of the F-16 was not initially planned but resulted from a high-speed taxi test. Phil Oestricher, the test pilot, was conducting the taxi test when he decided to continue accelerating. Due to a combination of factors, including a slush-covered runway and a lack of braking action, the aircraft became airborne, and Oestricher decided to take it into the air. This unplanned event occurred on January 20, 1974, and marked the first flight of the F-16 Fighting Falcon. - เกม

Nope, that's just 40 years old 😂
And Falcon 4.0, the basis of BMS is only almost 26 years old..... Man I was just twelve when it came out.
So Falcon 4.0 only has existed for most of my life and the original F-16 Fighting Falcon is two years older than me.
Here's to hoping for a long future for BMS and a Falcon 5.0 in the future!

Falcon BMS is a way of life.
My salute goes out to all who have been involved in keeping the flight sim alive through the many years of development and sustenance. I prefer calling the F-16 Falcon rather than Viper. Long live the Falcon indeed.

These new canopy colors/effects... is this PBR? I thought there were scenes from 4.38 but you wrote 4.37u4. Looks great!
It is PBR which will come for some models with 4.37U4

@@MultiJp51I mean on paper dcs is better by miles but I. Short the argument is quantity over quality.
@@RW-zn8vy DCS looks better to the untrained eye. BMS has a research-grade flight model and a dynamic campaign that DCS still can't replicate. For the niche that BMS occupies, it absolutely reigns supreme in my humble opinion.
@@ghosk the dynamic campaign gets boring pretty fast over time but it is a really old game. Dcs isn’t going to replicate that. They even said it themselves. They want to make something new.
@@RW-zn8vy I think we could argue perpetually about this BUT: the campaign is infinitely tweakable such that you could get tasked with almost any mission the f-16 is capable of, so... What else would you want to do in a game about flying a military jet? And also I believe a graphics update is coming this year, which tends to be most people's hesitation. I'm biased though, clearly. I picked it up in the ~4.31 days and come back to it when I get a milsim itch.

Forever Falcon! I guess, it's time to reinstall? I still have my original binder copy of F4. Is the original manual & documentation still relevant?
Not really BMS changes so much that you might as well just use the extensive BMS training docs to get up to speed.
I have the ringbound manual too, and it is almost certainly well out of date. There is much more extensive documentation installed with BMS.

Any chance you guys could make it so we can use modifier keys? I really really want to play BMS but because I only have a HOTAS One with very few buttons and only one hat I can't play it. I've tried so many times. So please please please can you do this?

Hey man, thanks for watching. To answer your question i didnt touch colors or any prostprocess at all. Except for some bokeh bluring everything in this video is 100% natural in game content@@6XENO9

one of the main reasons for the F16 was that the F4 was getting smoked in Vietnam when the Air Force realized they messed up thinking all fights would not be dogfights.
The f4 was getting most of the kills actually and finished the war with a positive ratio. But yes it still sucked in a turn fight.
