I have hundreds of thousands of assets for the Unreal Engine. It bogs the mind, though, when you are trying to make a game and want to bring in specific assets gleaned from different bundles. I would like a program that not only lists every asset in every collection, but also shows a picture of it and categorizes it up to 4 levels down, such as house -> interior -> living room -> chair. And also allows you to easily extract it from whatever bundle it resides in. That is what is really needed, not just the hording of thousands of items.
For everyone-if you add these items to your cart and click checkout and NOTHING happens-double-check your UE. In 99% of cases, UE is updating at the same time, and you need to wait until the update is finished. For example, my UE 5.4.2 is updating today.
@@Riley_Christian This is a different case. In recent EPIC Launcher versions, there's a bug where the checkout button sometimes doesn't do anything. There are various root causes for this bug. Today, I encountered the one caused by a simultaneous UE update.
I love Monthly Unreal Engine Giveaway. A trade secret is confidential business information that gives a company a competitive edge and must be kept secret to retain its value, while the phrase "a triple what you were making" means earning three times one's previous income.
Really miss when Epic added assets to the "Permanently Free" category or had some big free project later in the month (i.e. City Park, Factory Environment). Plus the freebies seem to be dwindling in quality as well. There's like maybe 1 incredible asset pack while the rest are just "meh".
its bad to use other ppl assets in game for a official steam or xbox game bc u dont see big game studios use other ppl assets aka gta skyrim cod battlefield and so on
That's exactly what I wanted to say. It even goes for assets you buy at the Unreal marketplay, it's a license to use them with the UnrealEngine, not other engines (unless explicitly mentioned).
I do, but it's made crazier by the fact that I go through and move all materials into my own master shader setup and take sure each asset is orientated and scaled the same.
OMG, I love the "I don't know how to get on the horse". You might try playing through the demo once before recording. Granted, then it wouldn't be so funny, so maybe not :P
that makes more sense than our variant replacing "free" with "gift" I never fully understood it, i knew what the phrase meant but what is a 'gift horse' was it gifted to me or does it bring gifts like Santa. Like does a horse that brings me things get offended if i look it in the mouth and stops or is there something wrong with the gifted horses' oral health that I should be aware of like the horse has a defect. I've thought about this way too much
@@GHar94 When you buy a horse, you look in the mouth to see the state of health and to be able to estimate the value. If the horse doesn't cost anything, you don't look at how much it's worth. basically it means: "don't judge it's value if its free."
Note that for most FREE assets from a game's market, if you use them for anything Other than work in that engine, they aren't free, or you have no license.

It seems to always be some mediocre and repetitive environments. I wish they would give us some animations, sounds or characters, but they rarely do... It's free content though, so I can't really complain
That's a misconception. Tons of popular games use Synty's assets. They even use the default maps. Only games which are buggy, have no good gameplay mechanics, no polish etc are called asset flips.
honestly i wish we got less of the 3d assets, especially stylized ones. They don't fit into most projects unless you decide to go and purchase more of the assets from the same creator (if they have anything similar listed at all). I'm grateful for the fact they do this at all but I have a lot of assets that I'm never going to use because I typically don't need 3d assets.
Assets that are created by epic games themselves can only be used in unreal engine. But all other assets made by other people can be used in whatever game engine.
Creating a 1-terabyte MMO RPG game featuring Medivals, Samurai, Mongols, Genghis Khan, Vikings, Natives with an open-world map similar to Flight Simulator 2000 would be an immense undertaking, likely requiring extensive compilation time. To beat GTA 6, you would need to raise capital between $600-900 million for server, hiring devs, and asset spending, given that GTA 6's budget is around $2 billion. Delivering the game by GTA 6's release date could potentially double the investment, but since 1 to 2 - -terabyte CDs aren't available yet, you'd need to use five - ten CDs for PS5's hard drive.🤔Marketing GTA6 vs. World MMO.who wins? no idea.

"First things first... I DID NOT PLACE THESE ARROWS." lol

The biggest issue is consistency between different bundles, there's no real standardization.
For everyone-if you add these items to your cart and click checkout and NOTHING happens-double-check your UE. In 99% of cases, UE is updating at the same time, and you need to wait until the update is finished. For example, my UE 5.4.2 is updating today.
Clicking "News" and then "Store" again fixed the checkout button not working for me.
weird, I was updating Unreal too but I just got a popup that said I don't have the right version, and clicked "continue anyway"
