I played in this event and remember seeing this deck and was really rooting for it's success seeing I've been running a couple variants the past week or so, it's particularly awesome realizing that it's you and I appreciate the deck and matches 👍
Thanks for uploading so many games with this deck. I'm still really enjoying watching tournament play for TCGP, but I just can't bring myself to watch any more Pikachu/Mewtwo/Moltres PoVs.
Exeggutor feels like such a strong baseline for an EX’s power level. Doesn’t feel too strong or too weak, it’s just great at applying pressure. Looks like the Lorax got his wish.
@@jacquesdeimoitsos If they have another basic for the bench Pikachu does 90+90 so Potion wouldn't matter. Maybe they didn't and that's why they attacked with Zapdos.
At 6:52, if they switch in picachu and have an extra basic/you don't have potion, they win 50% of the time. If you have potion and they don't have an extra basic, they will need to roll zapdos 50/50, so win 25% of the time. If they just attack with Zapdos they win 5 out of 16 times, ~30%.
Love tournament gameplay this was a very fun watch! Also if you don’t mind making a video of how to enter these tournaments, what is the normal format (I assume sometimes it varies), how people submit their deck list, contact players, etc.
@7:27 Zapdos hits at least 3 heads 31.25% of the time. It’s basically Sheer Cold. At least 2 heads is 68.75% (similar to Focus Blast), and if Zapdos only needs one heads it’s 93.75% (lightly worse than air slash).
5 battles, 5 wins with a slightly different version of this deck (don’t have baby exeggutor, used two EX and a 2nd Sabrina instead). All but the first match against Pikachu EX decks. This deck is awesome!
I gotta say i love decks that always have a chance and sleeping the opponent even though i know it won't meaningfully pull me out of bad spots gives that feeling. I understand that building better decks would also give that feeling.
what are your thoughts on 1 erika? I understand that its combination of having only 1 target and being too situational does not justify the full 2 copies, but I've been feeling like in this deck in particular it's a very high impact play when it does come up
@@HooglandiaPocket funnily enough one of the reasons why I was thinking about erika was that my exeggutor ex wasn't surviving 2 90s with just potion, but math on wigglytuff is just as important like you mention
1:14:00 You could have put the second energy on Egg instead of putting the third energy on Wiggly. That would leave the flexibility to put up Farfetch'd instead of Wiggly and hit Zap for 40 to put it in range with Giovanni. Would that have worked?
What do you think of Exeggutor and Alakazam together? I've taken a liking to it. There are still the typical stage 2 problems where you lose with bad hands.
How do you calculate the pack point cost of decks like this? With the EXs being 1,500 total and the baby Exeggutors being 300 total, I'm just wondering how you got to 1,810? Are you assuming basically every other card will be opened in a pack?
I'm missing 1, baby Exeggutor EX. Would adding another trainer/item be better for another basic pokemon? I think a 2nd Exeggutor is the wrong choice for me.
Yep my deck for a while now, erika can be decent. Now im just playing random fun like the video game red character deck with his 6 mons(1 of each lapras, snorlax, pika, zard, venasaur, blastoise) and 3 starter version more playable(minus the filler more copies of starter lines[2 bulb, 2 ivy, 1 base vena, 1 ex vena, 2 char, 1 charmil, 1 zard ez, 2 squirt, 1 war, 1 blast, 1 blast ex, 1 kang]) fire water grass energy decks 2 misty. Basically stall til whatever starter online n win on hard mode
Also because red card is mentioned in this video I've found out a friend of mine plays it and its entirely because if the vibe of red card like data can't convince them otherwise it just feels good shuffling a big hand back into the opponents deck.
I've tried something similar and it's definitely fun to play! Unfortunately I only have 1 Wiggly, and no "normal" Exeg at all... trading can't come soon enough!
We played a LOT of MTG back in the day. Singleton does refer to only a one-of copy in your deck. I've even heard it called a Misers or my favorite, "Fun-of".
This is why Pokémon tcg never gonna be a good card game. You win in this tournament by what ? A coin flip ! Accept it. It fun I enjoy playing it but it a lot of RNG developer should fix it before to late.
You're bad at identifying the variance in other card games if you don't understand the implicit coin flips they have constantly. Pocket just had explicit coin flips which are easier to see. The presence of variance is not the absence of skill. All card games have variance by design. There is skill in mitigating variance.
You are this type of person who is always complaing he gets unlucky when he make misplays all the time. Look at 35:39 for example. He get 2 points killing jiggly and needs one. Attaching energy to other mewtwo means he will one shot every card on the banch with sabrina in hand (which he has, because we know decklists). He misplayed, thus allowing Jeff to comeback to game and get lucky coinflip with exxecutor. This coinflip would NOT happen if he put an energy on other mewtwo, his chance for winning would be 100%. But you see the coinflip and cry. In this game there is ton of situation which you can do better, greninja this pockemon instead of the other so you get lethal push in 2 turns, giovani now so when opponent retreats the pokemon on banch it will be 10 HP lower so you could kill it with other pokemon you have on banch right now but soon will be in active and you sabrina them. All sort of stuff. Sure, some games there is nothing you can do better and you lose anyway, but there are a lot of examples like that when thinkin 3 turns ahead is key. For example when I play electic pokemon with jolteon I sometimes calculate that if I flip exactly 2 coins opoonent's pokemon will be 30 HP which will allow me to kill it on banch with my attacker which deal 30 to every pokemon I want. Or maybe I put it down to 10 instead of 20 HP, because I know that 1 potion will increase health to 30 and not 40, allowing me to kill it on banch. You make less of those mistakes as more games you play and analyse them.
I really like the addition of "may your next pack be a sweet one", that's just so friendly and connective.
Holy- I remember watching this deck on stream the other day, I'm so glad it did good in the tournament! ♡

Great thumbnail and interesting deck
definitely a big fan of this kind of content, keep it up
Really enjoyed watching you pilot the deck and talk through your thought processes! Subbed!
I like the more chill commentary. Great plays, congrats on top 16!

Editor's thumbnail game is going beyond.
Also love the editor’s use of pixel art in the stats and decks section. Very clean communication.
Chance of them getting the KO on the Wiggly: 31,25%
Chance of them winning if they retreat and you just attack with the Wiggly: 50%
Not if jeff had a potion i think?
@@jacquesdeimoitsos If they have another basic for the bench Pikachu does 90+90 so Potion wouldn't matter. Maybe they didn't and that's why they attacked with Zapdos.
@iceblue6364yeah I think you’re right. Didn’t have a third basic so pika would take 3 turns to kill and therefore worse odds
Ah yes. Opponent is playing pinchurn, the butter pokemon

It's just limitlesstcg.com - very simple and easy to use.
Congrats on the Top 16! GGs man.
Love watching you play pokemon tournaments!! Hope you keep enjoying them and keep them coming
This deck is really creative! Love the two baby eggecytor
I tried this on the win streak event and was able to finish it first try. This is a consistent deck.
Love your channel dude, appreciate your work

If you like this pairing, you might enjoy Marowak Wigglytuff, with a single Hitmonlee.
28:44 how did you know they didn’t have a red card?
Most tournaments like this one are open deck list
Congratulations I follow you from France
Competitive Jeff is my favorite Jeff 🤜

Unfortunately Erika doesn't save Baby Exeggutor from two 90 hits, so I prefer potion for flexibility to save Wiggly sometimes.

Fresh content 😮 !
How do you get pokemon pocket on your computer?

I haven't even played Pocket yet and I still watch your pocket videos 😅😅
yeah i think playing the wiggly early in that mewtoo mu was a misplay, worked out in the end due to the opps misplays
Keep the tournament gameplay coming!
I'm missing 1, baby Exeggutor EX. Would adding another trainer/item be better for another basic pokemon? I think a 2nd Exeggutor is the wrong choice for me.
After so many battles, do you think erica could be a better choice than potion?
Nope
This deck is so fun, exeggutor heads turn 3 wins are hilarious

Feels good to do is 100% the reason most people are playing red card.
Where do you find tournaments?
play.limitlesstcg.com/tournaments?game=pocket
@ thank you
Cries in no wiggly
I've tried something similar and it's definitely fun to play! Unfortunately I only have 1 Wiggly, and no "normal" Exeg at all... trading can't come soon enough!
Wigglypuff ftw.
Btw this feels like skill 30% coin flips 70%
Nice top 16!
What tournament was this?
AdvancedGG sponsored charity event.
Is "singleton" a card game term that I'm unfamiliar with, or is it just Jeff's way of saying that there is just one copy of a card?
I have seen the term in bridge before
We played a LOT of MTG back in the day. Singleton does refer to only a one-of copy in your deck. I've even heard it called a Misers or my favorite, "Fun-of".
Awesome deck, just 5-0'd the new event with this!
Dang, I wish I actually had baby Exeggutor 🥚
Wigglytuff EX is the only EX Pokemon I don't have 😢
This deck cooks!
cool deckm i like it :D
Cool deck
The thumbnail. 😅😅😅

WigglyEgg
Very cool
Love all thso

Pokemon TCG has survived and thrived for nearly 30 years despite this exact criticism, I don't think it will be "too late" any time soon.
do you not understand how a card game works? its all coin flips all the way down
You're bad at identifying the variance in other card games if you don't understand the implicit coin flips they have constantly.

The presence of variance is not the absence of skill. All card games have variance by design. There is skill in mitigating variance.
Pokemon isn't my favorite TCG by any stretch, but this comment is so ignorant that it would take a lifetime to properly correct.
