I heard the noise of this aircraft flying over my house (Arizona) flying at about 20,000 feet a few years ago. It was flying from California to Texas. I couldn't believe I spotted an active AN-12 in the US.
Mireille How cute is she! Very impressive the roaring engine.. A gorgeous take off over sunny Oostende, greetings from frosty Sydney, Australia ❄❄ Cheers Patrick 👍
appreciated , glad to see those classic gems from time to time at Ostend , always a delight to see and hear , turboprop sound no noise regulation problems , 1958 has a special meaning for me , the year of my birth 😄 , some designs are " immortal " , as the 707 , 8 and 747 are ( favorites ) , among others , glorious aviation, unlike today
@@patrickvereecke6654 Agree. I've flown on DC3's, DC6's, 707's and Lockheed Electra II, etc. My dad was with American Airlines, BOAC & /British Airways. I'm former USAF. Love planes. Best Regards
Arghh i miss these beauties here at LEJ. Till october 2022, they were frequent guests here. But since then, no Antonov 12 showed up here. Hope i'll see one soon, or I have to go to Oostende. Btw do you know what they ship from Gyor/Bratislava to Oostende every day (Ur-CKL and Ur-CBG?)
rare nowadays , still from time to time , car part delivery flights , dedicated crews taking good care of their classics , globetrotting , can be seen as well in the USA stm , veteran stuff
You think so? From there to Denmark. Today from there to Reykjavic and further on the transmitter is off. It says unknown destination. Yeah 😅 car parts that’s what it is for sure.
Suspicious mind eh? Probably not what every one thinks under the current circumstances, after all many Antonov aircraft that did make it out of Ukraine before the balloon went up, were and probably still are, based in Leipzig in Germany, and making money for Antonov Air and ultimately Ukraine, legitimately.
Patrick, Thank you once again for this upload 👍 great job...Love this plane... wonderful sound...thanks man... greetings from the country above you 🥳
dank U wel , Walter , graag gedaan MVG

Smokey old bird.
EXTRA visual flair , great show , always , smoker champion today 🤩
So much for being a non smoking flight....
Pollution? Nah...air freshner lol. Lovely old aircraft but also very odd looking.
Wonder what a Ukrainian aircraft is picking up from Ostend…😀
arrived from Birmingham UK , ferry flight , crew rest ,3 days , rarer nowadays , often , especially used for car part flights
