    Thanks for the info. Keep the series going. Can you do a video about all your equipment and what you do with them?

    Dear Sir,
    I hope this message finds you well. I’ve been following your journey in the dump truck business on TH-cam and have been truly inspired by your success and insights.
    I obtained my CDL-A license in 2018, but I haven’t utilized it as I was a teacher until recently. I made a quiet exit from teaching due to the constant scrutiny from superiors and the increasing difficulty of the job, despite my love for the students.
    I am now seeking a career change into the dump truck industry and would greatly appreciate your advice on getting started. Specifically, I am interested in whether I should initially work for a union or non-union company. I’ve seen many trucks on the road and assume there are pros and cons to both.
    Additionally, I’m curious if it would be wise to gain a year or two of experience before purchasing my own truck and starting my own business. I value being home with my family daily or every other day and want to ensure this career choice supports that goal.
    Your guidance would mean a lot to me as I look for a positive change and a successful future in this industry.
    Thank you for your time and advice.
    Best regards,
    John

    I thought you don’t need a DOT or CA number I don’t remember which one it was but if you don’t leave the state I thought one of those could be left out?

    How are these trucks holding up for you? Are you running into a tons of problems before 500k miles? These new trucks are so expensive and seem to be very temperamental compared to the older trucks. I am considering getting back into the business, but the new trucks scare me a bit with how complex they are. I know from past experience being handy and doing your own repairs would keep you working and save a lot of down time. I hear horror stories of trucks being stuck at the dealer for weeks at a time for random issues. I’m thinking of picking up a super dump with less than 250k miles to hopefully avoid issues. Any insight would be very helpful. Best of luck out there.

    hi.. I'm in California and looking to put together a book in case my husband gets stopped by a compliance officer. We recently started the business and have the DOT and Employer Pull Number, we're currently waiting for the CA number. as for the MC number... People are saying we don't need that number.. Only if were going across state lines. I'm confused on that part. If you can lend your Expertise id really appreciate it. :)

    • @Mr_Get_Muddy
      @Mr_Get_Muddy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends what you're doing but typically if you are hauling for hire then yes. If you do your own thing than not really
