Amazing. It is wonderful to hear an album such as Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' in Orchestral music form. Your present hears the orchestra but the brain processes the original. Thanks for the excellent time.
I absolutely agree, one of the hardest decisions was to cut Part 3. The reasoning, largely leaving it for last left me kind of exhausted by the time it came to do it. I decided the piano would be a focal point in that transition period and felt it sufficient. So, it's not technically a "full" album, its definitely still full of minor mistakes that id clean up before performance.
A good, enjoyable effort. A few notes. "Another Brick in the Walk, Part I" lack the driving, heartbeat that so distinctive, but I am glad that Part 2 does. Of course, "Young Lust" require electric guitar on the intro! But did have to be so wimpy? A Stratocaster thru a Twin Reverb cranked to 11 it called for. But you not afraid use a trap set for the drums. The classic Hammond organ with a Marshall amp is inspired here, like Jon Lord was sitting in. A clean Hammond sound? Did Richard Wright ever one touch a Hammond? No, the Farfisa is a far different beast The climax of the opera, "Comfortably Numb" starts with the majesty it deserves but I miss that singular human scream after "a little pin prick". The long finale required a few more megatons and more time to truly make it march. Mmm, what a cello sound like thru a Marshall stack? Does a viola sound better with humbuckers or single-coil pickups? Of course the fourth side was made for an orchestra. This when it shines! "Outside the Wall" needs to a bit slower and more sad, much more sad. Me and my First Wife saw the movie in first run, we close to terminally depressed before recovering in a few days. THANK YOU!
Some accurate evaluation of this, given, only a few months later and there are things I wish I would have fixed/changed. As far as instrumentation, biggest issue was the limitation on what was available to me as far as instruments to use. If I had the opportunity to re-record this in parts within studio with the exact instruments they originally used then this would be an absolutely truthful recreation of The Wall and not really an adaptation or arrangement.
Very excited to hear the rest of this, as I've o KY just found this and am through ABITW 2. This is outstanding and especially exciting that a "youngster " such as yourself has seized this magnificent work. Thank you!!
That was amazing! Superb talent! A righteous tribute to Pink Floyd! I am doing what i can to show this amazing performance on all my social media. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Please consider working your magic on Pink Floyd's Astronomy Domine from the album Ummagumma. I first heard this performed live in 1970, There is something magical about this particular version and I've never stopped listing to Pink Floyd's timeless masterpieces since.
Pink Floyd!
This is fantastic, and a great take on one of my favorite albums. In your description you mention both music created in a DAW and Acoustic instrumentation - is this real instruments or synthesized? Either way it sounds great, keep up the good work!
Thank you for the comment! The large majority of the songs are written in Sibelius and playback using Noteperformer. There are a FEW songs that I took the effort to go the next level and use a DAW with: Hey You, Goodbye Cruel World, Young Lust, Run Like Hell, Dont Leave Me Now.

Good morning.

Good attempt. However, lack of vocals made it kind of boring. Was it a problem to invite few opera singers (or students)?
@vitusbering6453 Problem was these aren't real recordings and at 22 years old I can't afford a choir to record this for several weeklong session..
Désolé, mais je préfère la version originale et, surtout, la stratocaster de David Gilmour....
Apologies for not including Gilmour's original stratocaster in this piece, perhaps when I have funds to afford real instruments.
Sorry, very skilled, but doesn't do it for me. It is almost like listening to Muzak Bowie 😢
@@graelent9 I'd love to see your interpretation of the album!
