- Do you trust me? I think I know what the creators of House of the Dragon are up to with Alys Rivers and Daemon. Do you agree with me? #houseofthedragonseason2 #hotd #gameofthronesprequel #gameofthrones
Edit (as of July 21,2024 I can officially say "Oops lol, I was wrong! Great theory though.")

RIP to my theory ya'll! She was mentioned by name 😅😑😶
I will share my theory with you now. I can't give you exact proof but I'm sure it will make sense. First Daemon has first vision after sleeping in heart bed, most powerful weirwood trees. He then has conversation with Alys, who tells him he will die in this place. Without getting into too many details. I believe that Alys is the queen guardian of the God's Eye 👁. In the histories this entity was called the green queen. I believe she is guiding Daemon through his visions. It is said that even people like Jaime Lannister had visions when near or touching the weirwood trees. So for that reason I believe the trees and his bed are giving him the visions and Alys is guiding him through them. The reason she is helping him is because she sees potential in him of being an honorable man. IMO. Now bear with me for a minute. They have said that Harrenhal is haunted and drives men crazy. Yet Lynol Strong, Harwin, and Simon haven't gone mad. And I believe it is because they are honorable 🎖 men. I use to think Larys was in cahoots with Alys but now I believe he took the family money 💰 🤑 and skipped town because he was being "haunted" because he is not honorable.
This being said makes me believe that Alys is the protector of The God's Eye, the children of the forest, Harrenhal, and ultimately those who can't fight for themselves.(at least in the show) Alys also helps get rid of Lord Tulley. In a compassionate way. As it said several times that Lord Tulley is basically suffering. So as it also helpful to Daemon I think she compassionately eases Tulley's suffering.
I know I have not connected all the dots yet but I think I'm pretty close. What do you think
@@NorthernShewolf I think you are brilliant and spot on!
Simon strong proved you wrong, he followed her out of the room. And the reason no one is paying attention to her is, she is a bastard, ask Jon how he was treated
but he never actually acknowledges her. I think he would at least say hello on occasion even though she is a bastard, after all he is moral enough to hate Larys...I think a case can be made that he doesn't actually see her and instead is trying to follow Daemon's gaze.
That's a ploy. Simon appears to be looking at her but is he actually looking in the same direction Daemon is looking as in wondering what he's looking at?
She disappears behind him.
When strong fills his own cup after you see Alice pour her own then walk away.. that sealed the deal for me, nice work 🤘🏻
She may not be a ghost but a illusion of harrenhall and harrenhall grounds
Alys Rivers was pregnant with the child of another silver-hair dragon rider whom I shall not name, and around that time, she threatened some knight (I forgot his name) and exploded his head with whatever dark forces she had. People do see her, lord Strong did not call her 'My lady' because he was the lord, she was nothing but a wet nurse.
yeah, i know that from the books, but for a couple of episodes I seriously thought they were gonna change her character up...maybe I watched too many horror films lol.
I thought she was the healer, not a cup bearer. I think people don't talk to her, cause they know what she does.
Wow! That’s really impressive observation 😮! I agree with you❤👏👏👏👏👍💯 I even subscribed to ur channel
Thank you so much!
She also appeared on the balcony while Deamon was working below. Deamon hears a woman screaming , he then turns around and sees Alys , then the screaming stops. It is possible the screaming belonged to her when she was alive. I think she is a ghost.
love this and your other comment. we are on the exact same page.
I searched this exact theory, and your video came up first. Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense 😉 But yes, I heard this theory yesterday, and how can it NOT be true? Sad thing is, how did we all miss it? 🤦🏻♀️ The writers are good!
OMG! let me know any other videos out there. I thought I was alone.
@@KeepinItSpicy4RealGray area made a video and girl nettles too
@@aislynnmari yes, I watched them both yesterday. So glad I’m not alone 🫱🏾🫲🏼
3:43 you miss that Alyss disappears behind Simon in that scene.
YES!!!
Yes I agree I think she’s a pigment of imagination by Damon I think she’s not really as well. I think when if you look at the other characters look when Dave is talking to, I wonder what he’s talking to. I agree I think she’s a figment of his imagination even though she is in the books, I do think it’s either a ghost, all his hallucinations.
Simon called her out yesterday :( they got us
i thought the same thing in the very first scene. everyone in kneeling in supplication except the bastard server? no. they would be all over her. " what's wrong with you wench? on your knees!" they would have been franticly screaming at her. only reason i could think of is that they don't see her. they question is what is her goal with Aemond. to drive him over the edge and feed the evil in him or is she "the ghost of Christmas past". is she there to get him to see the error of his ways?
can't wait to see the rest of her storyline, i was so intrigued by the book version and I know the tv writers must have something creepy up their sleeves for us.
@@KeepinItSpicy4Real after last episode, it looks to be a red haring. she is clearly real and interacts with others. still, very interesting character.
Interesting… You have me swayed, despite knowing the source material- very good presentation!
that makes me so happy! thank you!
Bro, she is all of the people he’s dreamed.
oooooooo, I like that. an agglomeration of everyone he's wronged in the past
: Be sure and tell 'em Large Marge sent ya! Heh heh heh heh heh!
Pee Wee! that's a throw back I almost forgot about!
Alys Rivers is the Corpse Queen…
Wow Your right I didn’t notice What the F Oh you got a follow But Alice goes off with Amond Oh your good
Thank you for the follow!!!
I noticed this too, but I didn't connect it to her being a ghost. But it really makes sense 🤔 😮😊. I thought it was strange how Sir Simon seemed to look at her like she was a stranger, no pun intended lol. But yes now that you say this I am intrigued!
@@NorthernShewolf can’t wait see what they do with this next episode
@KeepinItSpicy4Real mee too!!!
OMG!!!!😱 I think you might be right!
@@NYCbirdy let me know if you see any flaws in my theory
I think you are right. The moment Simon Strong comes up to Deamon , she walks away in a bit strange way her arms just dangling and disappears. you don't see her come out from the other side behind Simon.
Exactly!
But she is in book (that is written more like history chronicles) too so why she would be mentioned in it if she would not be real?
I think the show sometimes goes a different path than the book. I'm curious to see how they will resolve this if its true!
@@KeepinItSpicy4Real i thought that so far they were playing with concept of „different truth” portrayed by different sides. We will see, I just hope they will give us Nettles at least:)
@@LaylaTow you gotta pour some liquor out for Nettles because I think they've already confirmed she won't be a part of this version :( she was awesome in the books
Damn it I am mad I did not figure this out myself.
lol!
You know that after the dance she became the witch queen of harrenhall and was pregnant with Armonds kid, she's real, weird, at times creepy but real.
@@arunabhsrivastava7841 I hear you…but since the child never materializes…is it possible that Aemon thinks she’s real and someone wrote it down, but that she actually doesn’t exist?
@@KeepinItSpicy4Real The child is real. When soldiers go to reclaim Harenhall, Alys appears with a white-haired, purple eyed boy.
@@teodorakoslov2929 yes, but in the books she claims he is Aemon’s son. It’s never really confirmed. You could be totally right and I can be dead wrong…but I’m just saying there is a tiny chance that the tv show will actually make her a ghost. They’ve changed things before…
@@teodorakoslov2929 who’s to say that they actually saw her and boy? maybe they thought they saw her ;) and… btw they also swear to see a dragon in there over the years “haunting Harrenhal… but guys. She’s a ghost. I already told everyone during the episode as I watched it… right after Simon looks like he sees her, Alys disappears behind him… nice little play on the editing but I SEE you condal… ghost of Harrenhal
@@aprilrayne Condal and the actress said Alys a 400 old witch who wants 'Targaryen seed' in a couple of interviews. So I would assume that makes her real enough. I find it ridiculous they made her that old, but whatever, at this point.
I believe they are gonna connect Alys Rivers and Daemon to the Three Eyed Raven
I've heard that as a theory too, which I think is def plausible. But don't you think its strange that no one other than Daemon talks to Alys?
Here is my Alys Rivers Ghost Theory! Let me know if you agree.
This isn't breaking news. Already figured this out 2 episodes ago. No one interacts with her. It seems that only Daemon sees her.
@@denicarson9082 then you are ahead of the curve :)
She is real, but she is a witch who “bathed in blood to remain young”. She was the wet nurse for Larys and Harwin, and later in the Dance when Aemond takes harrenhal he beds her. If the show writes he as a ghost, it’s pure show canon. Not actual canon.
@@sainttaint3585 agreed, the show has definitely switched some things up from the book before
@@KeepinItSpicy4Real to be honest, I wouldn’t be horribly offended if this is a path they choose to go down. Just don’t know how it’s going to fit with the rest of her story! I’m all here for it though
I think the ghost/spirit/vision theory is a show-only thing?
I think she's the Red Witch from GOT.
No she’s not Milesandre
i don't know about this one, they have two totally different origin stories...but its not impossible.
@@KeepinItSpicy4RealI say that because the Red Witch was supposed to be like 400 years old.
@@MadAnthonyI true, but by that logic than Alys can be Old Nan...I think she's supposed to have been around for a crazy amount of time. (If that ends up being true, my mind will explode even more, lol)
Holy shit I think you might be onto something.
Right!?!
No she is real. They all seen her lol
yeah, i watched last episode like ...oops :)
@@KeepinItSpicy4Real lol yep
@@jayson1geek479 🤣😅
She’s not a ghost.
@@got_glintsp963 yes lol, 4 episodes later I know know that 😂
but simon strong sees her ? like notices her
...does he though? Or is he just trying to figure out what Daemon is looking at?
i mean he literally turns his head as she walk away , so hes definitely not judt lookijg in the direction thst daemon is.@@KeepinItSpicy4Real
@@KeepinItSpicy4Real I think she is a a very powerful green seer/warg...connected to the 3 eye raven/children of the forest. She might be like Bran (able to project her self in time, and give visions to people...but she stayed too long, and trying to change the future). For all we know she could be the first 3 eye raven...the isle of faces is right next door. But I think she can warg into an Owl...since Helana had a drawing of an Owl on her wall.
@@luca.mayflowers 👀👀👀 I don’t know, I’d beg to differ
@@user-qf7rz3gw2n yes, and she did joke with Daemon that she was an owl stuck in human form
When strong fills his own cup after you see Alice pour her own then walk away.. that sealed the deal for me, nice work 🤘🏻
thank you! you can't see me but I'm tipping my detective's cap lol
