Thank you for the report I will be out in the north and sherman on Sunday Tuesday and Thursday, I will stop and get your autograph,do you give a senior discount for your autograph
Yes in the morning I had one on a glide bait trashing on surface n got it half way to the boat and it came off. OH well shit happens! Then had couple more hits and it shut off. All this happened the first ten minutes before day break. I don't use live bait lol
Just an FYI. 50 fathom closes October 31st. November 1st is near shore only (20 fathom shoreward) 50 fathom opens back up December 1st. You can drop your crab traps in deep water, but you’ll need to come back inside the 20 fathom line to fish.
Thanks for the report Alan. I will be up in the mountains hunting. Kinda 🧍♂️ 🎥 🦌 My brother has his license and deer tags. I’ll let you know if Lucky shows up.
Hey Alan, do you guide to Sherman Island? Or maybe go on my boat to help with my electronics? Also, I called Fisherman’s warehouse and they told me they no longer sell fish traps. Where can I get the ones you like using? Are the AAs Bad Bubba shad just as good?
I'm using Sudden Impact 5" swimbaits with 1/2oz strike king or VMC boxer Jigheads FW has them. I use Z Man Die Zen minnows too. I do consulting go to info@alanfongoutdoors.com look at bookings and it shows what I offer. And yes I would go in your boat and show you electronics and how to catch stripers in Sherman. I explain tides and what you will need to learn.
Hey Alan, went to Lake Berryessa last week water temperature 71° and bait fish were on top. Doesn’t that mean the lake is turned over? Then this week we were at Folsom Lake water temperature 72 and the bait was down below 80 feet. why are the bait fish From the two lakes so different with their water temperatures almost the same.
Google thread fin shad and read about them. The smaller shad live deeper in the water column and the larger shad live closer to the surface. So depending which size shad your graphing will determine their depth. If you can find the shallower shad you might catch bigger bass?
Go to my web site: info@alanfongoutdoors.com look under bookings and it shows what I offer in consulting. I would go out in your boat and go over your electronics and teach you about tides and how to find stripers.
If you aren't a member to Washington Outboard Club then the closes launch is Arrowhead or Hog Back and it's a 25 mile run to the turning basin. Membership like $100 dollars a year but it takes 1-2 years to get in.
I’m a long time striper troller but really interested in the shallow water fishing. What are your favorite fish trap brands
I use Z Man minnows and Impact swimbaits both 5" and VMC boxer Jigheads and Bladerunner Brian Willits Jigheads. FW and Freeport bait have them
