Hi, you said you caugh the bass at berryessa at the east side of the lake about 30 ft water depth . Was there lots of bait? Did you get em on moving baits? Spoons? Swimbaits? Or plastics? Really will appreciate it if can give me some tips. Thanks.
In the fall I look for baitfish (thread fin shad) and I only use spoons. I did a few videos on this last year as you can watch them. I went week and half ago with Ken and we killed em all spooning having doubles a lot of time.
What was the typical size of the delta crappie schools when you found them this week. Did the schools move around a lot requiring your forward looking sonar to stay on em? Any report about delta crappie is always appreciated so thanks for your continuous updates!
I've been struggling to catch striper trolling A Rigs in Whiskey/Empire and Disappointment slough. Few here and there, but mostly one-offs. I usually troll anywhere between 12-16ft and at 1-1.5mph (kayak), this has worked great for me in the past. Is it wrong time/place? or is it me? Thanks Alan
@@Dennis-zn9xk I’ve found over the years those areas off San Joaquin river are best when we get lots rain n high water. Sac side gets murky n the Stripers go that side as its lot clearer. Stripers are starting to move into sac river side now!
Thanks for the report Alan. GOAT of the NorCal fishing scene.
Thanks
Looking forward to the striper season! It will be our first year trying to chase them 👍🏻
It should be in full swing here soon. I'll be out on Wednesday now that I'm back from Texas
@ good to hear! I’ll be launching out of Brentwood on Thursday, my uncle is gonna show me how to chase them since I’m new to the delta!

How do you catch crappie in the delta want to take pops
I'm using a 1/16oz jighead with a Garland baby shad, big bite crappie minnow or a ballzy gryphon bait. all in shad patterns depending on water color
What water temp is ideal for striper to move into the flats?
69 degrees 👍👍
@@kylefranchini1 58-65* is best for me fishing these shallow flats
What lures are you using for the crappie in the delta? Thanks for the report.

I cannot for the life of me find crappie in the delta, even with livescope.
I should clarify, I can find them under docks. That's it. Never on other types of structure or grass
