I sent my Xbox one S in last year due to water damage, they sent it back with a letter included saying it had previously been opened (which it hadn't) so they weren't going to fix it for me, although it worked again once i got it back, still works now lmao
Invalid? if you mean loose ya warrenty it def does in the usa if opened. Sony refused to fix my ps4 pro with a broke seal back when it was new.

Have had a go myself at repairing the odd thing, it's certainly not easy but very fulfilling when it works out. Seeing you re-ball that chip on the other video made me realise my own limts. I’m glad I came across your videos. I’ve been starting to teach myself how to repair consoles/laptops/PC’s. I’m at that beginner level and been replacing hard drives in PS4’s and doing the software reinstall and going to practice on an Xbox one X over the weekend and once I’m more confident will go onto soldering etc
Thanks buddy, we all start somewhere, so keep at it! One day you'll muster up the courage to do the bigger stuff, and if you enjoy it as much as I do you'll never look back. It really only takes practice and time

I changed a hard drive in an Xbox One X yesterday and after watching one video it's easy to do apart from the screws lol and at least Sony made that easier to do but I love doing it. Someone who comes in the shop where I work repairs a lot of consoles etc and said he will teach me and recommend some sites. I pick things up easier if someone is showing or watching videos than reading it up

Edit: Just be safe and use common sense. (don't go poking capaciters etc) Thats how I learned how to do it just youtubed and watched this guy and Tronicsfix

I'm not really sure what causes it but it seems a lot of individual caps are failing on these. Parts are pretty easy to find if you get the right part number
I'm skint too, but I saved up for my ps5 and lg c1. I hate debt.. I love fixing things, but I'm not as good as you, yet😜🤣
I always use a debit card .
And it can always check if it has funds and I always make sure I got plenty there for any kind of repair I work hard for my money and the person who's going to work for me I want to make sure I get paid. 💵💵💵💵

I Dont do credit, all I have is a debit card and while I have a £400 overdraft in case of emergency, I've set myself a rule that if I Dont have clear funds then I Dont buy something, I got into debt years ago and now I'm debt free I never want to be there again.
Watched a few of your video's now and just got to this one , so glad you don't seem to use the click bait anymore as you don't need it . I used to sometimes watch PSReady for PS5 updated but due to his constant use of click bait titles i no longer subscribe to him and avoid his video's .

I see you also use Kingbo flux! I got into trying some new stuff here and there outside of my classic Amtech 559. I find that the Kingbo flows solder better but doesn't last as long as Amtech. Also the Kingbo tends to smoke more when using a heat gun around it versus almost none with Amtech. Do you have the same experience with it? Great video as always, cheers.
Yeah mate Kingbo is pretty good but it does burn quickly, I think the trick to it is using a lower temp on the iron and it'll go further
