    damn, the customer did a job on that HDMI port!
    I have found the HDMI ports to be terrible on the ps5!
    What i do when i repair them now, is add a dab of 2part epoxy around the port, to the motherboard, Just a very small dab, where the ground / anchor pins are.. Just to give it that little bit of help with strength..
    Ive had very good results with this method tbh..

    I must confess frustration with such ungrateful, negligent customers. Most of us, including myself cannot even get a PS5 over a year after release. To put it into perspective i have my original PS1 which me mum bought me in 1996. Even my 25+ year old Ps1 plays discs, has no damaged ports.

    Have you ever run the traces first then put the port down on top of them, that’s how northridge fix does it, seems easier than doing that way, although he won’t do a repair if there is more than six ripped pads.

    • @TheCod3r
      @TheCod3r  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have but I find it can lead to taking longer if you end up with the pads moving and causing a bridge, so I just prefer to run them after the port is down

    when i applied liquid metal to my gaming laptop , i applied it like the videos i seen on yt and it dried up (soaked in) fast, and temps quickly went up to 90 + and causes a soft bsod , where as i put more this time like half of what you put as the die is smaller and it seems to be great at about 60-65 degrees in intensive games depending on if they are cpu based or not of course

    Thanks for another great video, a question have you ever ran a PS 5 on an external 12 volt supply? I have one that has a lighting strike damage power supply I can run on bench supply but crashes when playing ps5 games will play you tube and low power stuff all day. PS bench supply is 30-40 amp.

    • @TheCod3r
      @TheCod3r  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate. I haven't run one on my bench supply yet but I'd assume it's a load issue you're having. It's best to fix the psu if possible. Generally bench supplies can't put out more than 5 or 10 amps so I'd say if you wanted that route of using an external power source a pc power supply would be more realistic by tapping into the 12v rail

    Consoles get lot sensetive breaking down. Back earlier days of gaming such NES,SNES , sega mega drive PS2 and 2 and original Xbox if drop them still be working never had any of those break down in my past 30 years of gaming. Time to PS3 , xbox360 came out that when problem s started consoles breaking down even to to newer consoles such ps5 today. Nothing made to last these days unlike the past. Am kinda put off buying ps5

      Yeah newer consoles from the 360 and PS3 onwards are very unreliable. Almost like it's deliberate 😒

      @@TheCod3r It's called planned obsolescence and it's actually insane to me that it's legal or at the very worst unregulated.
