I remember watching that reboot of LMAD back in March 2003! I even remember that the first contestant was named Stella and she was wearing like a black tank top. I also remember that she lost. And yes, I remember The Chamber! You had the "cold" chamber which started at 30 degrees and gradually dropped to -10 degrees as the game progressed. The "hot" chamber went from 110 to 150. Which one you got was chosen at random. You could quit any time by yelling, "STOP THE CHAMBER!". Or you'd get kicked out automatically for too many wrong answers. IIRC you would lose half of your winnings if you failed to complete the round (each round lasted, I think, a minute?), whether you wimped out of the chamber or just failed to give enough correct answers. I believe the cold chamber cooled 10 degrees per round while the hot one got 10 degrees hotter, until reaching the minimum temperature (in cold mode) or the maximum (in hot mode).
There's a video on Rerez' Channel about a similar device like the Famicom Cycle. I don't know if they're the same peripheral, but it's something i guess.
As much as I love Metallica, I don’t think I’d want to play a Metallica-themed game unless it directly linked into the band in some way. As was said in the video, nothing was really noteworthy about the game’s concept except for the title, so if the band didn’t appear in the game’s storyline (or at least James, whom I’m assuming is the one who’d approve a car game in the first place), it would have been a run-of-the-mill driving game at best, and I don’t think the name alone would have saved it. Also, I recall Iron Maiden’s video game effort, and… Frankly, that game would have been better off as lost media.
The only acceptable kind of game the Metallica game could have become would be a rhythm game with a unique peripheral. Preferably a controller shaped like a bass guitar, which you'd have to hold the same way Robert holds the bass. That would actually have been awesome.
The Metallica game was canceled because they were going to have to pay Mustaine royalties for the songs he co-wrote on the first three albums. The members of Metallica had dropped their rates on songwriting royalties because they knew they would be getting so much money in game royalties from this project. Mustaine wouldn't drop his royalty rates, and who can blame him? He wasn't going to get any royalties out of the game, just the songwriting. So why should he bother to drop his rates? That's what killed Metallica: The Game.
While I did like both Scooby movies, the second one more than the first, Raja Gosnell (sp?) is a talentless hack that completely ruined the first film and WB totally wussed out on making a PG-13 cut. Plus, they had that great animated opening that, while it's on the DVD, SHOULD have opened the actual movie. I only wish that James Gunn's true Scooby movie was made. It would have came out at the right time for the Gen X audience to really appreciate that sort of Gen-X-y detached irony and loving nostalgia paradox. Still, great cast. I'm glad Mathew Lillard is the official voice of Shaggy, and when the time Frank Welker can no longer perform, I hope Freddie Prinz Jr. takes on the role. I love that Robot Chicken usually gets the movie cast in when they do a Scooby sketch.

I honestly love hearing about pilots, early video game builds, alternate cuts, etc. Its just fascinating to see what could’ve been.
Same
The worst is when it actually looks good and then you have to live with knowing something awesome could have existed

Are people really that young to not know or be aware that Arnold used to be governor of California?
Once when i was a kid, i got lost in the mall and i couldn't find my mum
It's been 15 years and i still haven't found her :(
JESUS
Yes a new one to make my day 1000 times better
"Some of you may be too young to remember Arnold Schwarzenegger was once the governor of California."
Damn, that made me feel old.

Notif gang
They could have done a much better live action movie for Scooby-Doo than that adult atrocity with it's abysmal parodies.
