Rice Kheer is everyone's favorite and right for all occasions. Rice is cooked in milk till it gets a creamy texture. Rosewater is added to give extra flavor and garnished with dry fruits. It is rich in fiber and calcium. It is healthy and delicious, no one can say no to it. Next time make राइस खीर this way and get a lot of praises.

RICE KHEER
Ingredients
2 tbsps short grain rice
1 litter full-fat milk
¾ cup sugar
½ tsp green cardamom powder
½ tsp rose water
2 tbsps almond, chopped
2 tbsps Pistachios, slivers
Method
1. Wash rice for 2-3 times, add sufficient water and soak it for 20-25 minutes.
2. Add milk in a non-stick pan, add soaked and drain rice, bring milk to a boil and cook till rice is done.( continue mixing)
3. Mash rice with the help of the spoon and add sugar , green cardamom powder and mix well. Cook for 5-6 minutes on a medium heat.
4. Add almond, pistachios and mix well.
5. serve hot

Rice kheer is mostly cooked in South Indian homes as well as in temples as prasadam. So this kheer is always made with jaggery but not sugar. Sugar goes well with sabudaan & semiya kheer. Jaggery is a MUST in rice kheer😁
Same in Bengali 😂, South Indian and Bengali cuisine actually little more aligned toward rice,
Bengali are called" veto bangali" "veto " come from the word vat which means rice in Bengali language
it's really simple and yummy..I tried once and keep on preparing with this method whenever I want to prepare rice kheer
Thanks for the recipie. I have added 1 thing in this, i have deep fried rice in 1tbspoon ghee. And at the end added kasar, kismis, chirounji dana. It was yum!!!
