@That Philippines Life Any of them places you were at Michael has such beautiful views and especially the wedding venue wooow so cool.😮 Enjoy have fun guys.
Thanks for featuring and visiting my hometown. It is a beautiful and progressive city and one of the largest in Mindanao. It is located in an area well-protected from typhoons and is the major outlet for products from Bukidnon and other provinces of Mindanao. It is a safe place where Christians and Muslims live peacefully. It also has one of the best universities in the county, Xavier University/Ateneo de Cagayan. The US is also building a US military airbase in the old Lumbia Airport, which has a very modern large airport .
I've spent a lot of time on Mindanao.. I love the island... It's huge and a lot of variety and usually good prices away from the big cities... Yes, there are places you may want to stay away from... Where there have been incidents of terrorist activity in the past... That being said, there are still many spots on Mindanao that are as safe as anywhere else in the Philippines in my opinion..... And lots of variety in the geography
Kat thats a pretty blue dress. First time ever seen recycle cans in the Philippines. Looks like Texas Toast! Very nice drone shots. CDO does look very nice. Congrats to Chrissy and Ron. Hope they have many anniversary's to celebrate. Good job on this video. Hope your knee feels better soon, Michael...Jim
It's interesting that you don't seem to know about the typhoon Sendong tradgedy in CDO and the history of the up town and relocation areas in CDO. In 2011 typhoon sendong caused a huge amount of water to come down the Cagayan river and through the centre of CDO. The communities living along the river which were mostly low income areas were flood by basically a wall of water around 20-30 ft deep. Areas like Macasandig were basically wahed away down the river and out to see. The death toll estimate was 1250 to 2500 but is probably much higher. Whole families just disappeared. Bodies were washing up along the coast and nearby islands for months afterwards. The government decided to relocate the survivors to high ground and thus was born the up town and relocation areas. Unfortunately the corruption that happens in the Philippines took its bite the picturesque areas were exploited for up market housing that the survivors could not afford and the relocation projects in the less picturesque areas were asigned to housing the homeless. These relocation houses were not properly built no electricity, no proper plumbing, no drainage lots so small that the people have no room to grow a garden... A lot of the houses are basically shells for a two story dwelling but no interior structure was built so there is no upper floor in the building. Millions of dollars werecontributed by major corporations for the construction by companies like Shell but the money to finish these homes properly just disappeared. You might want to visit the relocation areas and talk to some locals while you are there. Or perhaps take a cab ride down all ng the river areas at night and ask the taxi driver about the ghost customers that are regularly seen in the area. However many cab drivers won't go there at nightdue to past encounters. My ex girlfriend comes from that area and her fater is a taxi driver. One rainy night he picked up a man who was soaked in that area he asked to be taken to a street where all the buildings haf been destroyed in the flood. When her father turned the corner into that street he asked where the man wanted to be let out and the man didn't answer he looked in the rear view mirror and the man was gone leaving only a wet patch on the back seat of the taxi....
Michael, the quality of your videos continues to improve. I mean they were fine before, but the timing, score, drone shots, etc. Turns into a real “show”. Well done

@@annasd8435 I think one of the main reasons why Western men move to south east asia is to find a traditional wife or girlfriend ,thats in addition to the other reasons .But looking at that couple, they remind me of typical western couple where the woman makes sexual jokes in public and shows way too much of her body in public ,and they guy is the usual simp whom shuts his mouth just to keep because he think otherwise he wont get a woman in his life.Thats being said ,people are free to live their lives the way they like it, but I really think she is representing a very small percentage of Filipina women (usually some females around BGC in Manila ) .

Hi Mike it looks like you have gout on your knees. I have gout sometimes it flares up on the knees or my feet, or sometime on my fingers. Anyways you just need to avoid all the foods that trigger a flare up. And it is different for each person. Mine is nuts, beans, red meat, innards, tomatoes, red grapes, and some dark meat fish and some shell fish.
Yes, those listed foods esp red meat, beans & organ meats, are aggravating to one of my brothers. He is also careful with mushrooms & spinach, though now the docs don’t advise against any of the veggies like they did in past. A big one to avoid is alcohol. & he swears by drinking a shot of tart dark cherry juice daily. Sometimes I drink it for intermittent simple arthritic joint pain, becoz of his praising it so much. But it is too tart for me. 🍒🍋🍋🍋
