I suppose it's that innate romantic and reciprocal nature of Filipinos. Even as an introvert, I feel... more close to a person the more details I learn about her then I would occasionally reminding and affirming her that "What would normally do", "You'd definitely would", " Classic " when she does something I've grown accustomed to, and this is usually mixed with compliments since I cannot help but adore. Sometime I have a habit of mirroring something I really adore from a person, and remember things that makes her happy and make sure to bring her mindset to that specific point when she feels under the weather. I think it should be a natural thing to endear someone that means a lot to you, like she's a portion of your soul.

Edit: It just brings me joy to see her genuine love for us Filipinos. If I were to pick between two nationalities, Philippines would be my pick even if I don't fit the standard look of a native Filipino... I hate being patronized by my whiteness... and it's a bit upsetting if people view me as dainty and frail just because of it. But that's not important...

I feel so blessed and so great when I'm heard this POWERFUL MANIFESTATION OF A FOREIGN WOMAN through our Fundamental culture that we Embraced since the beginning. And we knew it ever since when we're EMOTIONALLY UNITED AS ONE AS A FILIPINO RESILIENT IN HISTORY. IM GLAD TO FIND YOUR CHANNEL BROTHER. THANK YOU FOR IT.

i hope more Filipinos will preserve/follow our original culture (which is a lot from different islands) and not being easily influenced by other countries. One thing i really like the Japanese people is how they really showcase their culture as seen in their works of literature, films, comics (manga), etc...

I am so touched by this story hearing from a foreigner what a great people we are. For an expat who has lived for over 40 years in Germany, i tend to forget sometimes to be proud of my heritage & ancestry. I would love to know more about Kapwa & perhaps be a part of this org making a difference for our country ! Thank you so much for sharing this story❤🙏🏼⚘️

I met my boyfriend in the Cebuano mountains, and he taught me how to become more resilient, relaxed, yet always full of heart for others-something very different from my Swiss values. It's a shame that such amazing people are being ruled by utterly selfish leaders. Spirituality dominated by capitalism.

5:05 actually there are still some Filipinos who live by that gesture, I was taught in our family that even if you don't have a lot to offer you give them whatever you can. To all of us even my brother and sisters if we offer someone something we want them to take it if they need it. As long as they don't abuse us and keep asking for more when there's clearly none left.

I have our high school French teacher to thank for showing us Perfumed Nightmare (1977) in the early 2000's starring Kidlat with Katrin having several scenes. I thought it was absolutely dumb and yet very fascinating to the point of acknowledging how it mirrored the Filipino's quest for validation in the middle of a modernizing world... which shockingly still exists today in the social media era.

Thanks for appreciating the good side of the Filipino culture making me proud as Filipino also. The Bayanihan or Kapwa system that shows love, help, and compassion to other people forever lives in a heart of a Filipino.
