I suppose it's that innate romantic and reciprocal nature of Filipinos. Even as an introvert, I feel... more close to a person the more details I learn about her then I would occasionally reminding and affirming her that "What would normally do", "You'd definitely would", " Classic " when she does something I've grown accustomed to, and this is usually mixed with compliments since I cannot help but adore. Sometime I have a habit of mirroring something I really adore from a person, and remember things that makes her happy and make sure to bring her mindset to that specific point when she feels under the weather. I have our high school French teacher to thank for showing us Perfumed Nightmare (1977) in the early 2000's starring Kidlat with Katrin having several scenes. di pa nga tyo halos tinutulungan ng gobyerno pero mababait na tyo nasa atin na ang makikipag kapwa ..paano pa kaya kung merong gobyerno ..kaya siguro ganito ugali natin 😅mapag mahal kasi bless tyo ni lord ..
i hope more Filipinos will preserve/follow our original culture (which is a lot from different islands) and not being easily influenced by other countries. One thing i really like the Japanese people is how they really showcase their culture as seen in their works of literature, films, comics (manga), etc...
Wow... we used to live in Germany in Schleswig Holstein and in Black Forest and I can relate to what she said. We pinoys are really hospitable and offers what we have.
I LOVE THE STORY, she discover the most wonderful and valuable essence of being a Filipino. Yan ang Ganda ng Pinoy.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
“I just came here to love people” this is so sweet, lovely, thank you for loving filipino culture
Hmmm...Dr. Katrin as National Scientist? Now that is a unique couple goals with Kidlat. 🙏
Teary eyed in a 8-minute video..😢I love listening to her.. hope I can hear more stories from her
Let this culture never die..,😊
Ma'am Katrin and Sir Kidlat Tahimik is a kind and very humble couple. Went to school with Kidlat, Kawayan and Kabunyan ib Baguio. They used to show us films they made for free at school.
Sa hirap ng buhay minsan parang madedeny mo or masasabi mo hindi ka naging pinoy pero isa ito sa nakakainspire na story .. thank you Katrin for sharing the beauty of Filipino people and it's culture. Makes me really really proud being pinoy..
We are glad this content inspired you! We appreciate you for engaging through comment!
How can you not love Philippinos and their culture
I am so touched by this story hearing from a foreigner what a great people we are. For an expat who has lived for over 40 years in Germany, i tend to forget sometimes to be proud of my heritage & ancestry. I would love to know more about Kapwa & perhaps be a part of this org making a difference for our country ! Thank you so much for sharing this story❤🙏🏼⚘️
I met my boyfriend in the Cebuano mountains, and he taught me how to become more resilient, relaxed, yet always full of heart for others-something very different from my Swiss values. It's a shame that such amazing people are being ruled by utterly selfish leaders. Spirituality dominated by capitalism.
Thank you Katrin. I hope others are inspired of what you shared about PILIPINO....Pili at Pino.🎉
Wow never heard a short but great story like this. Mabuhay po kayo Mahal na Ginang Katrin.
Katrin may be the first but there are a handful of others with a PhD in Filipino Psychology like hers. She was one of the ones who explored the value of Kapwa
Nakaka proud maging Pinoy.
This is an eye opener for the foreigners and also the Filipinos. An inspirinh work mam.May you be blessed more for spreading good words and deeds.GOD bless us all.
I am a filipino living here here in sweden for more 25 yrs
I am so impressed with you
Your mindset is totally had embraced our values and love to our country
I salute u
Thank you Madam you embraced Philippines culture and married Filipino husband 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've met Ma'am Katrin and her family and all I can say is that they are a very simple, happy, kind loving who knows how to socialize and easily adapt any ethnicities culture and traditions especially in the cordillera regions. Her husband and childrens ethnic names has their own unique story and meaning to tell
Thank you so much for promoting and keeping our culture alive ❤
5:05 actually there are still some Filipinos who live by that gesture, I was taught in our family that even if you don't have a lot to offer you give them whatever you can. To all of us even my brother and sisters if we offer someone something we want them to take it if they need it. As long as they don't abuse us and keep asking for more when there's clearly none left.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for embracing our culture and most Filipinos can easily adapt to any race, culture etc, but his love story means one thing, that we are all brothers and sisters wherever you go, we are all GOD’s creation, God Bless us all!!!
Very good story coming from a foreigner who has experienced Filipino hospitality❤
I truly admire you, that you embraced all about the Filipino people and culture with all your heart and you live it too❤❤
What an amazing woman and the what an amazing message she brings to us Filipinos! She is reminding us of the culture that is being eroded by the corruption of politics and values!
I have our high school French teacher to thank for showing us Perfumed Nightmare (1977) in the early 2000's starring Kidlat with Katrin having several scenes. I thought it was absolutely dumb and yet very fascinating to the point of acknowledging how it mirrored the Filipino's quest for validation in the middle of a modernizing world... which shockingly still exists today in the social media era.
Wow! 🥰 It's such an honor to know how proud u are learning the Filipino culture. The experiences & studied about the beauty of the Philippines of Kapwa philosophy is absolutely magnificent. Ur determination is far & beyond.
I'm a Filipina but raised in the U.S. U seem to know more about the Filipino culture more than me. Thank u for sharing ur story. It gives me great inspiration 💖

This is so inspiring and truly so fascinating story to hear. I could watch and listen to her over and over again. Thank you for loving the Filipino people and our culture. This is making us more proud of who and what we are. ❤
Love the story of this sweet couple. Race could be different but a heart full of love can be united. Thanks for appreciating the good side of the Filipino culture making me proud as Filipino also. The Bayanihan or Kapwa system that shows love, help, and compassion to other people forever lives in a heart of a Filipino.
Napakaganda ng naratibo
