You are SO RIGHT! They never received the accolades they deserved. But I am SO happy to see that you and a whole new generation is appreciating their unlimited talent!
One of their best. On some days it's even my favorite Bee Gees song despite not being one of their biggest hits. Thanks for a great reaction. Try "More Than A Woman"...
One of their best lyrics lines are in this song "Blow Out My Candle, I will Burn Again Tomorrow". On "Wind Of Change" (1975) they got the line/verse: "Don't You Under Stand What I am Saying, We need A God(Guy) down here, A man To Lead Us Children, Take Us from The Valley Of Fear" I simply love that one eventhough I am not religious and it could be interpertet like that. Also on the old 1968 song "With The Son In My Eyes" is the line "Who Is The Man That Walks In The Steps Of My Shadow, Is It The Man Who Does What He Can, But Never Does It Right" . Maybe the 3 best lyrics they have written. That is ofcourse subjective.
Bee gees the only band in history to have written, produced, recorded 6 consecutive No1 hits in a row between 1977- 1979 , also the album ( Saturday Night Fever) was the best selling album in history until Michael Jackson brought out his album Thriller, Jackson mentioned that his inspiration for the Thriller album came from the Bee Gees, I grew up with these guys and managed to see them live in Las Vegas in 1997, the three brothers were considered to be one of the best songwriters ever, great reaction thanks 🙏
f you do a reaction to FANNY ( Be Tender With My Love) that will be your new favorite Bee Gees song. Another great song by them is Love So Right. You'll love that one, too.
The Bee Gees crossed genres too! They were big in the black community. Led Zeppelin was rock and I don’t remember ever hearing them in the Black community. And…when the disco backlash came against them, they just showed everyone how great they were by writing hit songs for other artists! Love your Bee Gee reactions The Bee Gees were more than just disco! Here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: (you’ve reacted to quite a few of these, but maybe you’ll see something on the list to react to next) Too Much Heaven (R&B) How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard) Staying Alive (disco) Night Fever (disco) You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco) Fanny be tender with my love (R&B) Jive Talking (R&B) Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk) Tragedy (Techno? Pop) More than a woman (Disco/R&B) Love you inside out (Funk/pop) To love somebody (R&B) Massachusetts (pop/country) Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special) Alone (pop) Love So Right (R&B) Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour) Lonely Days (pop) You Win Again (pop) Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B) Kiss of Life (rock) Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country) Bodyguard (R&B) The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor) If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try: (A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979 (B) The making of the song "Just in Case" (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001 Some that only the avid Bee Gee fans might know that you might want to react to: My Lover’s Prayer (pop ballard) Letting Go (pop ballard) Subway (R&B) You Stepped Into My life (Funk/r&b) Children of the World (pop) Search, Find (pop or R&B) Songs written by Barry Gibb (that other artists sung), alone or with his brothers (Robin &!Maurice Gibb): If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman) Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand). In fact, Gibb wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs. Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons). In fact, Barry wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, Barry wrote every song on this CD too. The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals. Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) and yes, Barry wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals. Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees also sung background. The live 1997 from Vegas is excellent! More Than a Woman (Tavares) Love Me (Yvonne Elliman) Come on Over (Olivia Newton John) Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Wow, great recap & song list. Love it. A lot of the tracks from "Size Isn't Everything" and "This is Where I Came In", I'd classify as rock. And Bee Gees version of "Come on Over" is my favorite version (no offense to ONJ). Immortality is my favorite that they've wrote for others, I think.
Patty-I would like to suggest Oh Darling. Robin covers this one. HE GETS DOWN in this one. It was in the Sgt Peppers Soundtrack. He's the only one singing. You will love it!
So glad you are back with another BeeGees. ❤ your reactions. For more classic R&B: "Reaching Out", soulful " I Cant See Nobody" (Melbourne 1974 live version) or for carribean style deliciousness try "Spirits Having Flown", mellow "Wildflower"features Maurice as the lead singer. Also poetic "Morning of My Life" about childhood, or Robin's amazing leading voice in "Ring Around the Moon" & "And the Sun Will Shine". Also: a lesson in song for the men who let lust rule their young life- a wonderful song called "Alone". I always check out the lyrics first so I get the full effect of their wonderful songwriting. God bless you! Christ is coming soon!❤
This is my JAM, ok?!?!?! Hip Hop sampled this alot too, but this is straight up blue-eyed soul at its best!!!! Not to mention, Barry Gibb is fiiiine honey!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
The last of sixteen ‼#1 US Billboard smashers for Barry, Robin and Maurice, before US radiostations ban ‼the Bee Gees for consecutive seven years from the airwaves after homophobic and rassist ugly rockers like DJ Dahl and Meat Loaf burning their records in Comisky Park Chicago. But their music is legendary world heritage and will play forever in the heart of millions of their fans in hundred years and in the rest of the world, when Meat Loaf and DJ Dahl will be long forgotten.
Amazing group. Some great Bee Gees songs to consider reacting to are Alive. Living Eyes. Bodyguard. Mr Natural. I Can't See Nobody. And The Sun Will Shine. Kiss Of Life. When He's Gone. Tomorrow Tomorrow. Edge Of The Universe. Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow. A Heart Like Mine. The Only Love. Wind Of Change. Spirits Having Flown. Run To Me. My World. One. Alone. World. Words. To Love Somebody. Tokyo Nights. Wedding Day. Shine Shine. For Whom The Bell Tolls. There are so many great songs by them. Please make a BeeGees Playlist so I can tell which ones you've reacted to. I just don't have time to click on everyone for the song title. Another great video and it's short is 100 top 10 hits written by the Bee Gees.
Nice list!❤ I really like the song "Alive" & reactors never do that one. Tomorrow, Tomorrow as well! ❤ Also " And the Sun Will Shine " is so fantastic. So poetic. Love it!❤
You have to listen to Nights on Broadway! They have a good live performance on The Midnight Special, but if you listen to the studio version you get to hear Barry's background falsetto voice. It is the song where he "discovered" his falsetto.
Bee Gees are just the best. The list of great songs is endless. You should really check out : Nights On Broadway Words How Deep Is Your Love Alone Run To Me This Is Where I Came In You Win Again Thanks for spreading Bee Gees love!
And they always kept making new music. not like other bands like you mentioned that relied only on their old music. Chek "I'm Satisfied" - Amazing R & B song.
You could react to one Bee Gees song a week and it would take you years to get through all of their great songs. I mean absolutely great songs. On just as great as the last one. Alone. You Win Again. Wedding Day.
Friend, you just haven't been in the right circles. BeeGee's were as big during the 70's while The Beatles were it in the 60"s. Both groups overlapped each other.
Their last album is great …..this is where I came in….they are the 4th best selling artist in history …..only Elvis the Beatles and Michael Jackson sold more records !!!!!
Not sure why they aren't talked about as the greatest of all time, but if you watched their documentary they were blacklisted by racist, homophobes. Disco was forced out because this group of idiots considered disco to be the underground music of people of color and LGBQ communities. Their disco albums were taken to a baseball field and burned. The Bee Gees were threatened with death as well as any DJ or radio station who continued to play their music. The Bee Gees themselves had no idea that this was the reason behind the blacklisting until years later. They got back on the air because their new music was played without their names attached to it so people didn't know who was singing it. People loved the music. I just wonder if some of the lack of attention was because of the initial hatred? That's sad. Bye the way "One" is one of my favorite Bee Gee song.
That 10 year hiatus on the charts came about after a huge DEATH TO DISCO CAMPAIGN. Rightly but slightly unfairly, The Bee Gees because of the success of the"Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack, they became the faces of disco, subsequently and suddenly anything attached to the Bee Gees was bad. They're up there with MJ, The Beatles, etc., in Hall of Fame light, i think they're not talked about the same way because they're not American, I could be wrong but that was always my impression!
They dominated the 70's true; they were around and playing until January 2003 when Maurice died. Their final Album was in 2001.
You are SO RIGHT! They never received the accolades they deserved. But I am SO happy to see that you and a whole new generation is appreciating their unlimited talent!
Gotta give some love to the genius of Mo and how he lays down that bass.
Berrys voice just melts a human like Butter right!!😅
This song is the peak of Barry’s falsetto, IMO. It’s 🔥. I miss the Bee Gees, too, and Barry, whom I adore ❤️ . He’s hiding out in retirement now.
Florida got him!!
One of their best. On some days it's even my favorite Bee Gees song despite not being one of their biggest hits. Thanks for a great reaction. Try "More Than A Woman"...
With this track they single handily created 90’s style RnB…in the 70’s!
Excellent reaction. Great song. If you haven't reacted to "Fanny be Tender" you should. Barry goes nuts with the falsettos.
Bee Gees means HAPPINESS!!!
The Bee Gees have a lot of respect in the industry. Their catalog goes back the 60s

Maybe the 3 best lyrics they have written. That is ofcourse subjective.
This is also one of my favorites. The bass groove and baritone is insane!! ❤❤❤
Satisfied
Glad you are back on Bee Gees. You would enjoy I surrender, Ordinary lives, She keeps on coming and Children of the world. ❤
I love this song. No other group has this extraordinary talent
One of the very best hooks in the Bee Gees endless repertoire. The boys know a hook when they see one. They were hitmakers extraordinaire.
One of their best.songs. ever. I love it. Robin is my favorite Bee Gees but Barry knocked it out of the park with this.
LOVE YOU INSIDE AND OUT IS THE CALLING CARD OF THE BEE GEES!!! THE BEAT THE WORDS ARE HOW THEY FELT ABOUT THEIR FANS LONG LIVE THE 70S... 😊😊😊

I don’t see that you’ve done “Fanny”. This is my favorite.
