There's a film documentary called Elvis that's the Way it is, You see all behind-the-scenes rehearsals. the quality is better on DVD/BLURAY if you can get a hold of it. But there's bits of it on TH-cam as well.

I was a singer myself, notice he comes in with perfect pitch, never flat and not sharp. Even at the end when he could barely stand up, his voice never let him down. It actually got deeper and better. Wow, this rehearsal is the most close-up, raw, really-holding-back I’ve ever heard Elvis. It’s pretty amazing because he’s so human, and in the moments where he injects some power into his voice, you kind of get chills because even that moderate power is effortless for him. But those low notes, wow, that part of his vocal range rumbles through you. He was simply incredible.
Evening rehearsal how his voice can change ranges so quickly is amazing that's why he'll forever be the king of rock❤👑❤️ and roll

There's this cool video ( I wish I remembered the name) of this music producer who broke down his voice and showed on the computer how his vibrato is so consistent and on point. He said it's almost unnatural.

You get to hear a lot of playful interaction with Elvis and his band mates from the first takes to the masters without overdubs to the masters with overdubs. They're all a great listen. Such a captivating performer that people sometimes forget what a truly great vocalist Elvis was. Love 'Just Pretend.' Thanks for the video reaction.
The man was on fire during those first 3 Vegas residencies wasn't he. He never looked better and he never sounded better, and his band - who were always good - were also at the top of their game.

These were songs that Elvis wanted to rehearse at RCA's Sunset Hollywood Studio, during August 1974 Elvis' Summer Season at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel. He reahearsed for 2 days, changed the show and after that went back to his old routine...so 2 days wasted...He brought in another backing vocal group called voice,boy they were bad as you can hear.
