    I generally have no issue spending money on art supplies, (the quality kind), and when I seen the cost of the Karin markers,,,😳😳😳, there was no way I çould justify spending that! Almost à joke. And now since I've seen your "side by side" of sharpie and Karin?! I'm even more pleased I decided against the Karin. No contest for me. I always appreciate the comparison vidéos,, so many thanks 💋x

      I agree! And honestly, I spent a lot more than what the Karin markers were currently at when I linked them. 🤦🏻‍♀️ thanks so much for watching!

      I regret to say that I was fooled by some of the reviews suggesting Karin markers are better than posca.. so not true.. and yes, the Karin are streaky and not opaque at all..

    Thanks for sharing and more importantly, your honesty!. I have the full set of Karin and I would not recommend them at all. And I feel like Karin paid more attention to the packaging than performance.
    The Sharpie Markers are far better value for money and pop more on black.

    I ordered the sharpie a couple days ago. I can’t wait to try them.

    My pink Karin is the same! I thought I got a faulty one. Just got these Sharpies today and am very happy

      Oh no! You’re the second person to comment that so I have a feeling that’s just what the pink looks like. It’s surprising to me because it’s really unusable, imo. I feel like it just shouldn’t have been included. I have previously tried using the pink on acrylic and it wasn’t any better. I’m glad you’re liking the sharpies though! Thanks for watching!

    The Sharpie Creative Makers are going to have all artist alike in a chokehold especially if they include more colors. I love the quality. I've been wanting to buy the Karin deco brush pens for a long time, however I want the brush tip of these instead.

      I agree! If I could only have 1, I’d pick the sharpie! Thanks for watching!

    do these markers blend well?

      @HowtoHandLetter  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I will have to test that up a little more. From what I’ve tried, not really. But I haven’t tried coloring them onto a palette and mixing them that way, so that may work better. Thanks for watching!

    3 minutes in! 😂 The Sharpies you’re using are acrylic. Acrylic is known for opacity. Karin Decobrush is dye ink, beloved in the mediums it’s used in for transparency as that creates luminosity. Turquoise is not aqua and aqua is not turquoise. There is one that goes great in a seascape and one that goes great on postcards and toys. I think it hey should explain what they’re giving you when they send you things.

      You are wrong. "Karin Pigment DécoBrush markers contain 2.4 ml of opaque acrylic, non-toxic organic pigment-based paint."

    • @noneyabness8761
      @noneyabness8761 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RouxColdMilk It’s an acrylic ink. I was wrong it’s a pigment ink and not a dye ink but that speaks more to their quality that they have more lightfast materials and acrylic inks are not fully opaque or meant to be, I have been using them in my technical pens for line and wash for the past 10 years.

      @@noneyabness8761 nothing is perfect, it is intended to opaque however, especially compared to an alcohol ink or dye marker. Acrylic pens will layer on top of each after they dry more or less, while the dye would blend. Karin's "brush marker pros" are the type you were mentioning in the op

    • @noneyabness8761
      @noneyabness8761 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RouxColdMilk Nope, those are definitely and unequivocally transparent! These are acrylic ink and sharpie is acrylic paint. And actually, I have the full sharpie set and greatly prefer them to my Poscas! They’re frikkin fabulous! Anyway, acrylic ink and acrylic paint are different, I use both now that I’ve added acrylic markers. I have used acrylic ink in my technical pens for years and they behave very similar to my India Inks (not fully opaque at all!). However, if the people who make these aren’t being clear on that and they’re just sending them out without that info, they are going to get a ton of returns from people who actually pay for them and rightly so! I hope these girl didn’t pay for them if she hates them, I didn’t finish the video to find out as there are plenty of these.

      @@noneyabness8761 I mean they claim it is "paint" and not "ink" on the karin website. I am not sure exactly what the distinction is though. They also claim it is intended to be opaque granted I don't own any karin deco brushes currently I just really enjoyed their colours so I was doing research.
