My first brush pen that I tried and still love is the Tombow Fudenosuke! I love the fact that they have a hard and soft tip so you can found out which one works better for you! I have a heavy hand so the hard tip is easier for me to use!

I started practicing hand-lettering watching your videos and going through your mini-course and actually chose to buy the sharpie stained ones after watching an older video of brush pens you recommended. I think they're pretty nice to learn, I do wish they weren't so super charged with ink but it makes sense considering what they're made for. If anyone's looking for a good one to start, I've had a very good time with these. Also, they're super durable as she mentioned, I've had mine for a while and they're just like new.

I use brush pens for painting. I just make them. Use cheap filler fountain pens and put a raw uncut brush in it or you can buy them with brushes in them already. So cheap, and you can ink up with whatever ink you want.

I am having trouble with my brush pens not having any difference between my upstroke and downstroke, and I've been practicing, it is almost like the "brush" on it is more like just a very long hard nib (like on a regular sharpie marker) and I can't get it to soften...what can I do to fix that? I know this is an older video, but I tried to look up the Pentel Touch brush pen and my Michael’s store has the Pentel Arts Sign Pen Brush. Is that the same thing? Did they rebrand or rename it? I have been loving the Tombow Fudenosuke brush pens, but saw that someone said you aren’t a fan because they don’t hold up and fray. I’m trying to learn how to hand letter better for my Archer and Olive bullet journal. I’m definitely noticing that the Tombow dual tips definitely don’t hold up! I need to find a replacement for those.

I've been looking at calligraphy pens and a store I have been going in has ones that are only like $1 something. It didn't really have a brush tip, but more flat lined tipped I guess would be how you would explain it. They have it so you can try it out before you buy it. I have never used them before but have been branching out into being more artistic and always had interests in calligraphy and fountain pens. What is your recommendation? I really wanted a fountain pen but they were all out. What are the differences between a fountain pen and calligraphy pens? Thank you, this video is so helpful in explaining the sizes cause I was so confused in the store.

Hey there! Yes, let me grab a video for you that may explain it more. But essentially, bouncy lettering is where you don't always line your letters up evenly on the baseline. For example, you may bounce the last stroke of your a below that bottom line that your letters rest on or bounce others back up. Here is the video: th-cam.com/video/qiP2gPLrtxw/w-d-xo.html
