Hello... I am interested in taking a digital film course in mapua... But I am leaning more on the editing side of the industry... Does the curriculum of mapua teach in depth visual effects, compositing, and post-production techniques? Other schools po kasi like UP and Benilde focuses more on the theory and critiquing of film... I'm hoping to land on a school that can provide more for on the editor side...
Gusto ko po yung course na to but we have a financial problems and my grades was low. Hindi po ako makakapasa sa mga scholarships, advice naman po kung anong gagawin ko?😭 I really want this course but idk what to do!!!!

hi! not a film student but MAPUA's service sucks! my cousin who's supposed to graduate last 2019 didn't made it on time. Her prof dropped her because she didn't buy a book for her course. They were struggling financially. If ure studying alrd in MAPUA, sana di ka matapat sa prof na katulad ng prof na yon haha.
Very informative! What are the things/ equipment one has to prepare before entering film school? Are cameras required? Is high end personal computer necessary upon starting school?
Hi! It is not a requirement, but an investment to yourself. It is better if you have computer and cameras. Any type/specs will do, as long as you visioned your stories. Nowadays kasi you can make a film using mobile phones and that is one of many options/resources you will have when you enroll in a film course.

We have very talented directors and writers sa philippines pero we cant be making scorsese tarantino esque movies if the crowd wont watch it. Most filipinos would want thesame shit because thats what they are used to. Look at underrated movies here in the philippines that are good, nobody would watch them. Then look at the new movie called Rewind, thesame shit and copied from a 2004 movie from the US. It depends tlaga sa crowd na manood. Ma force ang mga producers gumawa ng thesame movie over and over again
