I really wanna be an animator because watching animated related shows made me recover myself bit by bit from depression and i wanna do the same for others
I mean I really would like to get into the theory of art and illustrations BUT I align more with multimedia art. I’d like to make animations, story boards video games etc which is why I’m choosing multimedia arts. Also… I clicked on this video because I was trying to figure out the difference between visual arts and fine arts and now I get it. I think multimedia arts is more of visual (correct me if I’m wrong) 😅
I'm currently an art and design student and wanting to pursue something related to art but doesn't know which art career to choose. This vid helped me a lot! I'm going to take mma in college:DD
Planning to take MMA but I'm not skilled with video editing, digital arts, photography etc.....more into traditional art kasi ako but I know MMA has a lot of job opportunities compare to Fine Arts (just stating the truth don't come for me) Can I still take MMA?
Hi, I just want to thank you for this. I'm actually confused between MMA and Fine Arts. And I'm also limited to Universities I can go to. After watching this I realized I LIKE the IDEA of MMA, but there's only one job description I can see myself in. In FINE ARTS, its all the things I love to do and there are more job descriptions I see myself in. However, I guess what's stopping me from taking Fine Arts is that I feel like in the field of MMA there are more in demand jobs. Do you think in this time of age, it's now harder to get a job if you finish Fine Arts?
Today, it's true that the direction is more on digital. But I know some friends who are traditional artists. Most of them open their own exhibits and sell their own art. Some get commissions to do paintings and drawings. I wouldn't stay I have a lot of knowledge on post-graduation experience for Fine Arts. But having combo skills in both traditional and digital art gives you a big edge in the working world. 🙂
Hi ate this video really helped me pick mma but kinakaba parin ako haha since di ako magaling mag draw, paint, digital draw etc more into video editing and like merge and photography ako.Dami din po kase nag sasabi na wala daw maano pero this really helped me, Coming from grade 10 graduate.
I'm currently a web developer, but I want to pursue another degree related to arts, UST is offering BA Fine Arts Major in Advertising and MAPUA is offering BMMA but it's 5 years, DLSU is only accepting second degree takers if they graduated not more than 3 years ago.
Hi! Thank you for making this! It was really helpful since these 3 courses confused me alot. I just wanna ask, what course does entertainment design fall under? And what school in the Philippines offer it?
Hi! I think entertainment design falls under Animation more than MMA but MMA works too. Some schools that offer animation are DLS-College of Saint Benilde, CIIT, and iAcademy 😊
Most Fine Arts courses have adjusted their curriculum to digital media. You may check out the curriculum of schools that offer Fine Arts, and they are now similar to MMA courses. :)

I'm Aspiring Art Director, I can see myself directing people who edit videos and graphic design, what course do you think should I get? and any advice? thank you, ma'am!
Hi! Multimedia Arts fits well for an art director. Being an AD means you can oversee the whole team and project. You have to look into every detail especially with the execution. MMA will help you get a wide range of experience and skill to be get there. Sometimes you can start with being a Junior Art Director, but some also go through the ranks to get to this position. Really depends on your capabilities. 😊
hello, I still do not understand if a graphic designer does the same job offers a fine artist could also get? Could someone explain the differences btw. graphic design and fine art ? in Germany we do not have multimedia arts, one either goes for fine arts, or communication design or graphic design.
I want my works and imagination to be adapted into animation, I want a career path of anything that involves storytelling with digital visual art. Stuck po ako between Advertising Arts and Multimedia Arts, can I hear your advice for this.
Taking up multimedia arts means you also have to study graphic design, video production, game/web development, etc. But if you solely want to focus on animation and photography - take up either of the two courses and maybe get a short/certificate course for the other. You can study Animation as a your college degree while taking up a certificate class for photography or vice versa. :)
Im planning on switching course, i paint in traditional way and i make ceramic arts too!! i think im suited on Fin arts. But what work and profession can i have when i graduate on that course if ever po?
Hiii! Can i still be a Graphic Designer if i take Fine Arts major in Visual Communication? But i also want to learn more about Digital Arts, sadly my chosen college univ only have Fine Arts not MMA
Yup! Fine Arts has digital arts as well. You can also check out the subjects/course outline so that you can really see if it fits your career choice. :)
Hello!! Sorry super late. I'm nearing college/uni admissions, and I'm planning to become a digital illustrator po. Ano po mag maganda between MMA and Fine arts? I want to work under a company while freelancing on the side. Usually po kasi pag illustrator, traditional ang binibigay, but I'm actually aiming for digital skills sa digital arts. I think ang problem po kasi is sa MMA parang ang daunting ng works. I'm sooo not tech-savvy and I don't like designing much, I'm more onto actual digital drawing rather than graphics. Yung as in digitally drawing from scratch po ng pictures. Ang worry ko naman po sa Fine Arts is obvious, realistically compared sa MMA parang mas maganda MMA for jobs, and I'm also not into traditional drawing actually :((. All in all, ano lang po mag maganda pag digital illustrator po ang gusto. Yun lang po thank you very much ::))
Hi! You might want to check out animation since it’s more on digital illustrations. But a lot of graphic editing is also involved. Digital drawing might be too narrow of a course, but more of a specialization or elective. You can search up animation and compare it with fine arts. But I’d say animation fits you since a lot of other art subjects will be tackled in fine arts, and it might not give you the right skill set or experience to be a digital artist ☺️
Hello, if you dont mind me asking... i want to be a animator, illustrator and comic artist or at least be well versed in these, with animation being the main. Is mma good for me?
I think the AB Animation is a better choice. MMA can give you the basic knowledge, but AB ANIM will give you the correct training to be an animator and illustrator. :)
Usual starting rate is between 20k-28k, depends on the company's budget. Then it increases as you get regularized, renew a contract, or get a promotion.
Hello I like the idea of Multimedia art since i love all art forms will it have film and music in it ? and i also like the idea of marketing and social media can i major in both of those things ? or will that be a lot in my plate ?

You'd have to step out of your comfort zone sometimes and meet a lot of people. I think in any course, you would have work and interact with new faces. But you don't have to be an extrovert. I survived and had fun as an introvert 😁
Hi! My question is kind of indecisive but I hope you'll answer it. I'm going to be a shs student this year and I took ABM strand, but my preferred course in college is MMA. The reason behind that is I want to have a balanced knowledge of both sides (designing and marketing). Will that work or it's just a waste of time and money?
Hello! It’s good you already know that you’re both into design and marketing. Taking ABM strand is a good step if you see yourself working in advertising, starting a business, or going for freelance. Marketing is a part of MMA, but business and accounting is not really discussed. So it’s a plus. On design aspect, you can learn first on your own - practice, watch tutorials, etc if you want to be skill ready in college ☺️
same graduating ABM student na ako and I found ate Ica’s video and now I am certain that I will take MMA course 🫶 still need to convince my parents hehe

Hi! I'm Zak, I dont know what college course I should take. I am into business and arts, and I am stuck between going for Creative Director, starting my own Fashion Brand, or pursuing Film production. What college course suits best for the career of being a Creative Director?
I think you can go for multimedia arts or arts management to be a creative director. If you choose a business course major in visual design or multimedia arts, the focus is more on business rather than design. So you might not get the creative background you need. Most creative directors I know started from the ranks as a designer or marketer, business and people management comes through experience. :)
Hi 👋👋 po mas nasasayahan po ako sa arts more on traditional like painting 🎨 and drawing , sketch and I like fine arts I'm grade 12 student and soon to be college pag kinuha kopo Ito ano pong Mga trabaho makukuha after college???
Yung mga kakilala ko na traditional artists, they have exhibits in museums or kahit online. This is where they can sell their art. Some get comissions as well sa projects na ginagawa nila. 😊
Yes you can take this if interested ka din sa marketing and sales. If not, pwede din ang Fine Arts major in Visual Communications para mas focused sa conceptualization and messaging ng design. :)
Hi please someone tell me if there's a particular degree that you should choose if you really want to be an illustrator or some kind of digital artist? I'm SO LOST Rn ! Help me please.
Hi! It's a bit hard to find a course that only focuses on digital art and illustration. Mostly they are short or specialized courses you take up after graduation. The closest I know is Animation - you'll be drawing characters/figures and creating storylines here. But you'll be taking up motion graphics and animating your illustrations as well.
Hello :) They're very similar. I think that it depends on the course outline. Visual comm usually has more theory, foundation, & communication classes compared to MMA, which is more on design execution.
Hi, I just want to ask po kasi you mentioned theater sa fine arts, does this mean po ba na it includes acting other than drawing painting and sculpting? I’ll be in college school next year and want to take a course that focuses on drawing and painting. And thanks a lot for this video!!
Hello! Each school has a difficult curriculum. Some of them have a bit of theater in fine arts. I think it would help if you check out the offerings and course outline for the universities you have in mind. I know most of the are posted online through their website. 😊
Yes, advertising is good if you're interested in promoting products/services. It will also help you communicate better when it comes to creating your design.
Hi! Good day! I just wanna ask po kung ano kayang course ang pwede kong kunin. I want to be animator and graphic designer someday, I am also an traditional artist. What course should I choose? Fine arts major in Visual Communication or MMA?
Hi! I think both options are good. But if you want to focus more on execution of design, go with MMA. If you also want to learn communication strategy when it comes to design/content creation, then I suggest FA major in VC.
Hi can I take multimedia arts if gusto ko maging manga artist?
Hello! I'm not sure if MMA can give you the right skills for that. Although hindi lang siya static illustrations, it's main focus is still on illustration and character drawing that can help you in comics and manga. :)
There's Fine Arts major in Advertising in UST. That's similar to MMA 😊 You can check the course outline here: www.ust.edu.ph//academics/programs/bachelor-of-fine-arts-major-in-advertising-arts/
Thank you so much po!💗
It tackles digital design, advertising, and communications. But based on your comment, parang mas gusto mong mag focus sa film and photo. You might want to try Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film or AB Film. 😊
Hi ate can i ask medyo lito po kase ako Ang gusto kopo kase mangyare i want to be an illustrator po both traditional and digital also i wanted to learn din po to be creative in designs(kase prang gusto ko po pumasok sa isang company kung san pede magdesign sknila or pede rin po sa local business like mga cafe ung mga maglalagay ka ng designs para maenganyo ung mga costumers ganu po),and also painting rin po tas gusto kopo mag patau ng museum kung san nakalagay mga arts ko tas pede ibenta parang ung namention nio po knina sa vid nio Ano po ba ang pwedeng course?
Pwede sayo yung Multimedia Arts since marami kang gustong gawin as a designer. Isang option pa yung Fine Arts major in advertising. Na-mention mo kasi yung pag benta ng artworks mo, so you might need to know a little bit of advertising, sales, marketing. :)
Mostly Fine Arts ngayon is not just traditional art. Yup, magagamit mo siya to be a videographer/editor. :)
I suggest MMA since magkakaroon ka ng subjects related to film and game development. :)
Fine Arts major in visual communications - simlar naman sa MMA pero ang focused niya is messaging and direction of your design. For major in advertising, you'll still have wide range of subjects pero aside from execution of design, may marketing and sales. Pwede naman lahat ng courses na to for you, kailangan mo lang malaman kung saan ka mas interested. :)
MMA has a bit of fine arts and IT. Under IT, a little bit of coding/programming. On the fine arts side, it has traditional arts like drawing, painting, sculpting. :)
Hello po! I knew late na Po toh HAHAHAHA pero grabe Po almost 3 years Ako nag break sa school para lang makapag decide and now Po I decided to take Fine Arts major in Visual Communication Ang tanong ko lang Po is pede pa din Ako maging Animator, Graphic Designer or Any related sa digital arts.
Hello!
Hi @@angelofuentes6010, since you took ICT, did it have any art-related subjects? I don't know if I should choose ICT or Arts and Design because I want to do animation and other media arts.
@@monaabad507 hallo! Of course! Sa animation subject namin din, pinag dra-drawing din kami in traditional way para may mga concepts and ideas kami sa mga Gagawin namin
Hi@@angelofuentes6010, thank you for replying. I'm just so nervous because I'm going to graduate in June, and I didn't know which one to pick, so thank you so much; you are my life saver.
I want to learn animation but based on my research I can also learn that in fine arts? Where do I really enroll if I want to pursue animation? Or digital art?
There's AB Animation if you really want to focus on that. Benilde offers this, but I don't know what other schools in Metro Manila offers anim. You can also try Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Animation. I won't reco MMA since it's just a part of the curriculum. :)
@@IcaLansang but don't they teach animation in MMA aswell? Also I searched more and I saw ICCT teaches multimedia as well. And in computer or I.T course they teach animation?
Hello may i ask, May course ba for digital painting? As in painting but digitally? Pasok ba sya sa multimedia arts? Pag nag sesearch kasi ako about multiamedia, lagi kong nakikita ay aboit graphic design, animation, gameplay, photography, video graphy or something sa sinasabi nyo. But i'm not into those things ehehehe
Yup, maraming naghahanap especially for product shoots and events. Although mas konti face to face events ngayong pandemic compared to before, hindi talaga nawawala opportunities especialy in the advertising side. Pay will always depend sa experience and company.
I really wanna be an animator because watching animated related shows made me recover myself bit by bit from depression and i wanna do the same for others

Yung mga kakilala ko na traditional artists, they have exhibits in museums or kahit online. This is where they can sell their art. Some get comissions as well sa projects na ginagawa nila. 😊
I'm planning on taking Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Advertising, and I want to be a Graphic Designer, Tama ba tong Course na to?
Is visual commnication and mma are two different things???
Hi! May I ask I want to be a graphic artissh someday can I take the course of BA COMM or BA of Multimedia Studies? Thank you so muchh :>>
New sub here♥ God bless po!
Hello, I love digital arts..and Fine arts..advertising arts is available, is that a good choice?.
Yes, advertising is good if you're interested in promoting products/services. It will also help you communicate better when it comes to creating your design.
@@IcaLansang Thank you.
Hi!
What is right senior high strand for being an multimedia artist
Best one is Arts and Design Track, but not all schools offer it. GAS can also be an option for it :)
@@IcaLansang pede po ba humms? or stem?
Is there Multimedia Arts is on Ust? In the phillipines? I Like to edit videos :( But seems like I can't find anything with it :(
There's Fine Arts major in Advertising in UST. That's similar to MMA 😊
You can check the course outline here: www.ust.edu.ph//academics/programs/bachelor-of-fine-arts-major-in-advertising-arts/
@@IcaLansang omg thank youu
Thank you so much po!💗
It tackles digital design, advertising, and communications. But based on your comment, parang mas gusto mong mag focus sa film and photo. You might want to try Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film or AB Film. 😊
Can i ask po! What is strand of Multimedia arts sa senior high? Please pasagot kasi mag senior na ako 🥺
Best yung Arts and Design Track but not all schools offer this. So pwede GAS since may variety of subjects. :)
Hi ate can i ask medyo lito po kase ako
Ang gusto kopo kase mangyare i want to be an illustrator po both traditional and digital also i wanted to learn din po to be creative in designs(kase prang gusto ko po pumasok sa isang company kung san pede magdesign sknila or pede rin po sa local business like mga cafe ung mga maglalagay ka ng designs para maenganyo ung mga costumers ganu po),and also painting rin po tas gusto kopo mag patau ng museum kung san nakalagay mga arts ko tas pede ibenta parang ung namention nio po knina sa vid nio
Ano po ba ang pwedeng course?
Pwede sayo yung Multimedia Arts since marami kang gustong gawin as a designer. Isang option pa yung Fine Arts major in advertising. Na-mention mo kasi yung pag benta ng artworks mo, so you might need to know a little bit of advertising, sales, marketing. :)
Mostly Fine Arts ngayon is not just traditional art. Yup, magagamit mo siya to be a videographer/editor. :)
Hello po! Im wondering po if ano po ang course na kukuhain ko if gusto ko po maging concept artist for games/movies po? mma po ba or fa
@@IcaLansang ahhh, sge po maraming salamaaat🙇♀💕
Is Multimedia arts is an I.T or Fine arts related?
MMA has a bit of fine arts and IT. Under IT, a little bit of coding/programming. On the fine arts side, it has traditional arts like drawing, painting, sculpting. :)
Hello po! I knew late na Po toh HAHAHAHA pero grabe Po almost 3 years Ako nag break sa school para lang makapag decide and now Po I decided to take Fine Arts major in Visual Communication Ang tanong ko lang Po is pede pa din Ako maging Animator, Graphic Designer or Any related sa digital arts.
Hello!
@@IcaLansang THANKS PO ATEEEEE!💖 SOBRANG CONFUSED LANG TALAGA AKO NUNG UNA PERO NGAYON ALAM KO NA MGA DIFFERENCES NILA 💖💖💖
Isa pa palanh tanong eheheh may separate course ba for animation? Or multimedia arts lang po?
Hi! I think digital painting leans more towards animation. Hindi siya focus sa MMA. Yes, merong separate course for animation 😊
@@IcaLansang may vids po kayo about sa course for animation?
May i ask lng po if demand ba yung photographer dito sa pinas po? Magkano po ba sahud nila?
Yup, maraming naghahanap especially for product shoots and events. Although mas konti face to face events ngayong pandemic compared to before, hindi talaga nawawala opportunities especialy in the advertising side. Pay will always depend sa experience and company.
