"Don't let let the fears of life get you down, you're OK" Credit to the arrangement and beautiful singing, but that part caught me off guard again and turned me into a sobbing mess. No matter how many times I listened to it before. I salute you, Mr. Papeghin. Only very few songs get this from me. It doesn't help that I'm taking care of my wife and our 3 year old daughter while working from home, and had a bad night. This particular song in the medley is the reassurance that I needed. Know that I love your work, and everyone else going through hard times: you're not alone. Love, laugh, and enjoy the small things. It can't be said too many times.
Thank you very much for your kind words ! I'm especially glad to know this piece brings you comfort :) Children of Yevon was a very special project for me, it took 4 years to complete and was a true work of love ! So it always warms my heart to read comments such as yours :)
And thank YOU for nailing those crazy basslines I wrote ^^ Even though I've heard them countless times I'm still blown away by them...especially that Chocobo section :D
This entire concept album might be the most transcendentally beautiful things I have ever seen. I was the right age for Ocarina of Time and FFX, they shaped me into who I am today. I discovered prog rock later in life. I can't state enough how much it feels like this music is healing my childhood soul and like it was made for me. The attention to detail is astonishing. Thank you so much for the effort, you deserve all the kudos in the world.
This album is something else. I've listened to this once a day for like two weeks now. Praying for the algorithm to throw you a dang bone like it did for the Zelda medley. Keep trucking! Your music is great!
I can hear little bits of Dream Theater woven throughout big stretches of nostalgic Final Fantasy, and it brings me so much joy throughout my workday. Marc, your channel is really something special.
This might just hit different for me because I am a prog rock/metal fan in general, but I'm two songs in now and I'm hooked. That incorporation of the Chocobo Theme at 11:40 *chefs kiss*. You and the people who contributed are all very talented and your love of this score shows. Also, how has this been around 3 years and not appeared in my recommended?!? Feels almost criminal. Hopefully my comment and thumbs up gets this some love.
But dude seriously? How the hell someone give a thumb down? I bet there is 3 dude who love to act tough and dislike this video because they are crying like a baby over the joy of this video.
Hadn't seen anyone else talk about it, but the drum section during the People of the North part is out of this world. Heck the drums throughout the entire work are amazing. The double kicks are just so smooth and quick. Thanks again for the labor of love.
The keys solo in the end is nothing short of a masterclass. I'm impressed with how you use the different themes so liberally, and improvise on them to give a unique atmosphere to your songs. This on its own has me drifting away into productivity, and when I pay attention to the videos it often brings me to tears. The re-interpretation couldn't be more in spirit with the game itself. I'm confident to say you're one of the most talented and underrated TH-cam music creators, and you do it so casually and with such apparent love for the source material.
Thanks a lot !! And yeah, I still hope the TH-cam algorithm will someday give it more exposure, this whole project was a work of love which I spent 4 years of my life on, and I'm really glad you enjoyed it 🙂
The emotion you capture here is palpable - optimistic and upbeat only to become melancholy and longing because we all know what's coming next. I am most certainly a huge new fan.
Amazing song... 4:25~6:39 I played again and again. At least 8 hours + replayed. People of the North Pole mixed with Suteki da ne...it gives me chills and makes me have tears in my eyes. I can feel how much love in this song and entire album. it's a shame my Eng isn't well and i can't describe my feelings exactly. But thanks for those beautiful song.
I listened to the entire album several times now and you made an awesome huge job!!! I'm so glad and proud to have played two solos on it...! I hope we'll work again in the future!
I think my favorite song of the entire album is People of the North Pole. This whole section with the piano chords in the background is somehow.. encouraging!
Je reviens écouter (encore) ce medley après avoir relancé une partie du jeu. C'est vraiment un travail incroyable et sensible que vous avez produit. Encore merci
But... but what about a 7 medley? Please Mr Papeghin, can we have some more? I really don't mind the wait for these, they quality and love put into them is exceptional.
