immortalfrieza Anti-hero is a character archetype. I was basing that statement off of the description of the archetype on tv tropes. Nearly all the main characters in tales games other than Yuri are the closer archetype of Ideal-Hero.
Clare Hidalgo The point was it seems like in the eyes of most these days, anti-hero=any hero that kills, no matter how rational that killing is. They could be the brightest, happiest, and silliest people ever, but if they cross that line, they are no longer worthy of simply being a hero in the eyes of the public. Hypocritically, this usually only counts for killing named villains, mooks can be slaughtered by the score and not have anybody care. Most of the other Tales protagonists are the ideal heroes simply because they are remarkably naive and idealistic about the world and yet everything works out to fit into that way of thinking. Yuri is about as ideal a hero I could think of honestly. Selfless, intelligent, practical, kicks lots of ass, and is more than willing to give the bad guys exactly the end they deserve.
For there to be an anti-hero, there first must be a hero whom he is opposing. Therefore, I don't believe Yuri to be an anti-hero. He's opposing the _antagonists_, after all. Yuri is still the protagonist, even if he isn't a cookie-cutter "hero".

It's a cameo costume. Estelle gets Tear's costume and Flynn get's Luke's costume, and that's not all the cameo costumes in the PS3 version of Vesperia. It's what pisses me off about it being a Japan exclusive game >:(

Like have it using Arise's combat system, or maybe the Vesperia system. I would love to see that story told with an updated game system. Same with Eternia. That said Destiny 1 has always been my number 1 in terms of overall story. If they did that I would love a Graces F or a zestiria/berseria deal. Like either 2 games for destiny 1 and 2 or release both as 1 with a lineage and legacies sort of thing for the second game with some item carryover or something. (I know the Graces F option would be really hard because of game length) it would be kinda cool for newer players seeing what all of the references in the newer games were based on.

In example, if Rita wore "Spotlight Hog" costume Title, her Bunny Ears like Pirate Bunny Ears color) & Veil attatchment or "Super Mom set" attatchment (fusion Veil + Glasses) wore by Rita, the Veil color changed: red with Black-gold Tulle

Yuri is hand down the coolest main character. He wasnt a sissy like the other and had the balls to do what was needed, even at the cost of his humanity. He wasnt the coolest looking though, Cless and Lloyd are the coolest looking. I was a bit upset at first I couldnt get this game... but after this... even if it was just for fun it was stupid... Also the character poles... wtf... I agree about Yuri but why is Abel 2nd? he is so bi polar with what he want, alwasy questions himself waaaay to much, and keep saying the 3 same lines. "protect sophie" etc... Graces was fun but has bad characters and bad story. also Asbel looks like Elvis to me... He should have folded his collar down, and those straps on his sleeves look rediculous. Lastly, these new main characters are so bring and generic, they dont even fit with the world of Phantasia.... Phantasia was fine on its own it didnt need a branching story. Same for Symphonia, that god awful sequel should never have existed. Worst characters and story I have seen in Tales. I think the sub-type of Antihero best depict Yuri would be "disney anti-hero" because of his contrast with "knight in shining armor" Flynn.
