Ragnar is one of the most influential character in Vikings because of his emotional gesture especially when Lagertha & Bjorn left him, I believe is the strongest one.

Floki is a character that grew on me throughout the show , I soon grew to love his character !
Rollo is the only one who got the best ending after all on and off the screen. Rollo won't die and is the duke and also beautiful family and doing decently amazing in his career.
Historically, Rollo's later descendants will conquer whole of England (William the bastard) and the bloodline will rule to this modern day the British throne, The Queen is basically the descendent of the same Scandinavian Viking.

It's hard to believe that I couldn't get into Vikings when I first watched it, despite being a fan of Travis Fimmel from Warcraft. Then when my wife and I were quarantined with COVID, we started watching it again. We just finished the entire series and it is hands down the best show we've ever watched. It's amazing how you will love/hate/love every character at least once. The acting, the writing... just the best. So sad to see it end.
The show is so amazing that I have fallen in love with the male and female characters. I admire how strong they all are.

I was disappointed by her performance in season 5, she just didn't feel like the lagertha I saw in the earlier seasons
I love this series and although I find that all the actors play their respective role very well, the one that convinces me the most is King Eckbert. He just presents this king so incredibly that I believe he's truly a king! :)
Can definitely relate to Maude Hirst making the choice of leaving her acting behind to create something more meaningful to help other people and to heal herself as well. Inner fulfilment and happiness is far more important than any status or career progress that you make, especially if they no longer bring you any joy or you're doing it for the wrong reasons
Helps if you don't need the money too, her father is the creator and a producer of the series.

I love The Last Kingdom...in fact, in some ways it's way more accurate than Vikings, which became a bit of a soap opera in the last season.

The transformation into a baddie was really on point, expecially compared to what D&D did with Dany. Although after having lost the source of his overactive self esteem (his wife and also power) maybe he will come back to earth and have a more balanced personality in season 6...even though he will probably be killed by his brother in the end. I still hope he will kill Bjorn at least, but I doubt it will happen.
I wondered about the Skargards but never bothered to investigate. I think my favorite character used to be Rollo and Floki, now Ubbe and Hvitserk and I have enjoyed watching Torvi grow, although I think they could give her a bit more.

No matter what anyone says, you can’t deny the strong love (whether “brotherly” or romantic) connection between Ragnar and Athelstan. Athelstan is the only one Ragnar has said “I love you” to (as far as I know). Even the actors have a strong connection between them that you can feel in many interviews they have done together.
