My favourite character ever is Kerr Avon from cult sci-fi Blake's 7. He's just like Ivar: calculating, ruthless, he will even throw his oldest comrade off a shuttle to reach escape velocity and save himself. but he is also damaged and hurting...and he's beautiful too, really beautiful. But in real life he was unbelievably nice. Everyone says he was the perfect gentleman, so considerate, kind, funny, sweet, nothing like Avon at all, and like Alex he was no method actor. How do they do this???
These amazing actors, crew, directors obviously like each other. Some of the interactions and Pranks are hysterical.The Fact that the show is about my Ancestors,........ well its about time Vikings were given due recognition on the screen. That they picked actors of Scandinavian, Brittish and Germanics to play the parts just makes it awesome, especially for people of the same decent. So many of the Cast look like they could be my family members. My entire Family came from these Northern parts of Europe, and my poor husband must be going nuts listening to Viking and Northern Germany Facts and legends, many of which came from my Mother.......hehe.....I so look forward to every episode and appreciate the connection.....Can't wait for the new Season.
