I love seeing them turn to be fans of Bobbie now, and their love of Amos is only deepening. Shoutout to Rick for pointing out one of my favorite bits, I love the Janus/Iturbi scenes, and the dynamic between the two men as they start to get along more, it's more enjoyable every time. And now as far as I'm concerned, the crew of the MCRN corvette-class Karakum definitely were bringing pizza to the party. Expanse on Sundays is always a great way to start/end my week, kinda have to pinch myself every week that they're actually doing it. Can't wait for next!
I love that they're finally liking Bobbie completely now and that Eric's love of Amos continues to grow! Oh and Amos' actor is probably the best at handling guns on camera because he served in the US Navy when he was younger so he likely has more real experience with firearms than the other actors!
Man, I can't wait for the next episode! The Expanse is easily the best sci-fi show in decades, baby!

From my understanding when she beat down the officer, the actress playing Bobby forgot to pull some of her punches. The TV breaking was not in the script either.
This is the correct attitude to have towards Captain Martens. Eric got me good with that one :)

The director said his biggest regret in the entire series (up until S5) was cheaping out on the incineration FX when Holden incinerated the pod in this one. I think it was a matter of getting the episode out on time more than the cost.
Naren Shankar (the show-runner) was also pretty regretful about the scientific inaccuracy of Alex's slingshot sequence in this epsode; IRL a manoeuvre like that would take weeks or months to complete
I really hope they can go back an remaster the series and fix a few VFX elements. This would be an easy scene to rework.

I love how excited Eric got when he saw Amos bully that grenade back in, then the chain reaction it set off/let go. Love the enthusiasm, shoot guys I have to give you 5 bucks again to see you watch the rest of the season sooner! :P
The pizza party argument is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a reaction video. I loved every minute of it 😆
A fun fact about Frankie Adams, the actress who plays Bobbie, is that she's a former boxer and is hella strong. As such she had to pull her punches a great deal and didn't always get it right.
The scene where Bobbie throws Martens into the TV so hard it breaks? That wasn't faked, she accidentally threw that actor so hard that the screen shattered.
Props to Martens actor for keeping the scene going even though it had to have hurt like hell.
I love that you call out Prax’s awful gun safety etiquette. It’s a subtle detail that was specifically called out in the books. He basically caused the shootout because of how we was waving the gun around the pizza party room
100% a pizza party. I agree with the notion that as long as there's a group of people eating pizza, it's a pizza party.
Even if it wasn't a celebration of anything in particular, pizza being there makes it one.

I just finished season 3 and it honestly feels like they are watching an entirely different show right now. The last 7 episodes of season 3 are such game changing episodes it floored me.
I can not wait until the get to the second part of season 3
The second half of S3 is the best TV that I’ve ever seen! And parts of S5 are a close second!

I straight up blasted through all 8 books once I finished season 5 and heard the show would be paused indefinitely after S6
High likelihood of a pizza party. 1.) Pizza is not standard meal for the group especially they are a para-military group and kind of in hiding, b.) there is an occasion to celebrate: leaving Ganymede, 3.) their guard were down. If they were still hunker down there, some of the security detail would be on patrol or look out. Holden and Co. should not have the drop on them

I love how they all seem to just be getting more and more excited everyone episode. This season is really great at just constantly kicking things up.
Prax told the crew of the Roci that Mei suffers from a genetic defect that she (and several other Belter children) suffer from and that is what Dr. Strickland is treating the children for.
Guys, you can clearly see them holding slices of pizza at 9:46. the guy in the front right drops his on his plate and the guy on the left just holds a slice up in the air but that slice is gone when it cuts back to him so he must have dropped it too

I just want to say, it's so awesome to see you guys from dipping into this wonderful show to be on the point where you say "there is so much more i wanna see!" is so awesome :D This show gets mentioned far too less when it comes to great modern shows nowadays. Really looking forward to the finale with you guys!

2x12 and 2x13 are going to blow your minds:) You should look into Ty and That Guy podcast, it is Wes Chatham (Amos) and Ty Frank (one half of the original writing team). While the first episodes are dedicated to the 5th season, they go back to 1x1 and onward, they give great insight into the process and is good content in general.
And this is how Bobbie became my favorite character on the show :)

Whenever pizza is offered as an olive-branch, it's special enough to designate the gathering a PIZZA PARTY.
I think it was a Pizza Party; they might not have all been there sat around the table if it wasn't some kind of party or occasion. Normally they'd just be getting their own food and eating on their own time. They seemed like they had gathered for some kind of deal. Even if that deal was just being able to get a bunch of pizzas and they're all taking a break to enjoy some good food.
Like usually at work, you all do your own lunch thing. Unless it's a special event or party. And so if there is, you might get pizza, and so it's a pizza party!
The celebration would have been for turning over the hybrid to its buyers. A bit premature, however.

They did use a nuclear warhead on the Anubis. It's gone.
A plant needs sunlight, but if you focus light on it with a magnifying glass, it doesn't grow faster. It burns.
It's rate of absorption, right?
The protomolecule could probably eat the warhead, but not absorb energy released instantly, by the blast.

I would love to see that; his character is actually moderately important in book 6 as well, having only really appeared in the first book before that (and then had a smaller role than he got in the show), so it would absolutely make sense for him to appear. I'm not getting my hopes for him to return up too much though; Jared Harris is a much bigger name now than he was during the first couple of seasons, and filming during the pandemic and having to bubble up/isolate might make it more difficult to bring in guest appearances like Harris/Dawes
In their Podcast ty Frank said, that he doesnt have enough time. But maybe season 6 (he had like 2 chapters in babylons ashes)
Well after he was in the first season and parts of season 2, Jared Harris got mad busy cause he's a great actor

You need 2 things for a Pizza Party. Pizza and a party. They had the pizza, they did not have the party. This was just them eating lunch.
Now you have to define what a "party" is. By the most sterile and standard of definitions, it's a gathering or group of people. They don't even necessarily have to be gathered in celebration.
They are watching The Expanse before dinner. Main themes are Lasagna, Chicken and today Pizza.

going hunting with not that much experience? Holden and Alex are both ex-military. Even with just the show, they've been in actual live scenario's. I'd say they have just as much or even more experience than those soldier's killed by the blue man. Depending on their jobs they obviously have different training specialties, but given how they've handled themselves thus far...I'd say they are good to go.
They have some experience, but Holden was dishonorably discharged and never saw actual combat and Alex was “a glorified bus driver”. They do have some real world experience in the Roci, but Bobbie and her squad were elite Force Recon Marines with Goliath power armer. Not even playing the same sport.

Whether what the qualifiers of a pizza party, the argument boils down to “are the group of people celebrating making protomolecule monsters out of children?” ... No... no they were absolutely not. They were having lunch. They’re in the belt. Of course they would share if they had a pizza. And more to the point, it’s a way to get all the bad guy soldiers in one small room for our party of heroes to awkwardly run into. Period.
