Honestly as good as you are at any language, the stress is real during the orals. I did a mock german oral in march, the guy asked me are there many wild boars in my area, and i answered with "yes, i do have a dog"
The teachers used to talk to us in Irish in primary school as though we should have some how, magically understood what they were saying, they might as well have been speaking Chinese, we hadn’t a clue what they were saying, they didn’t teach us to speak or understand Irish, pity.
I am so bad at irish that when they asked a question at the end of my presentation i said "mhm" and went back to my seat i only learned that my teacher asked a question the next day
For my Oral I must have said "OK Ceart go leor" about 50 times without realising im basically saying OK Twice in two different languages. Thats Irish for you. In most languages OK simply translates to OK but in Irish it translates to "Ceart Go Leor". A two letter phrase turning into a Three Word phrase...Most backwards arse language on earth.

Just not true at all. You make it seem like its irelands fault they don't speak irish it was the oppresive English control of ireland that banned the language it wasn't a choice

well, no - ceart gu leòr means 'right enough'. ok means ok.
I had three Irish teachers who were Gaeilgeoirí and they all said "alright" when they spoke Irish.
