Used this on the weekend, and it really does add a really noticable gloss, to the point that someone actually stopped me on a roundabout to compliment how brand new the old Polo looked, he couldn't believe it. First time that's ever happened after a clean
I’ve had fantastic results with CarPro ECH2O. Whether using it as a drying aid or a detail spray/waterless wash/last step, the slickness and gloss are so good.
For me this has been the best new product I have tried in a while, been spraying it on whilst drying the car and my little white Toyota has gloss like I have never seen on it before, it also seems to last fairly well between washes and doesn’t seem to gather dust as much as with many other products.
Gave the Stelvio a good clean on good Friday and then applied some Dream Maker, my black paint work looked amazing, I was a bit worried about a few comments I had read on here about it attracting dust, but it's now Wednesday and it's still looking awesome .My garage is full of items recommended by you and so far I have no complaints .
Been using Dream Maker for quite a while now here in the States. I agree 100% with your assessment of it. My weekend toy Z06 Corvette only sees nice weather, so it is protected with carnauba wax for maximum appearance. Before a car show or a weekend of driving, I give the paint a wipe-down with Dream Maker. It definitely boosts the gloss, and it amplifies the depth of the carnauba wax. It seems to get glossier as it cures over a few hours. No durability to speak of, but it isn't supposed to have much anyway. It just makes your paint look amazing for a few days. Well worth the price for the enhancement it offers. Great video, by the way! Really enjoying all your content!
Beadmaker is definitely good to use every few weeks to top off a wash after an initial dry application, but it's definitely not the strength of some others. I use it on some cars that don't want anything long lasting. The turtle wax flex graphine product you mentioned is good on rims as well. I've introduced it the last few months. It holds up fairly well even in Winter temps. I'll have to try the dreammaker on my own car very soon. Thank you for the in-depth review and analysis. Keep up the great work!
From my experience, dream maker works fine, smells good, but serves no actual purpose you couldn't get from another product. Although I have a bottle and plan to keep one in my arsenal, its not a necessity for most people, more of a cherry on top. Dream maker solves the relatively rare, but real, problem when you have a coating that you top with beadmaker/your favorite sealant as a drying aid after maintenance washes. Then after a few maintenance washes the surface will get loaded with your sealant and start to streak. You still desire that ultra slick feeling of a fresh sealant under your towel, but don't want streaks or to alter the water behavior created by your LSP. This is where dream maker fits in. It also works well just for the gloss enhancing ability, which people showing their car might be interested in, but as with any glaze I have used, the gloss will be gone after the next rain or wash. The only thing to be cautious of is that its not a quick detailer and has no cleaning ability, you risk marring your paint if you use dream maker to wipe up dirt.
My favourite QD is something I can just make by diluting a rinseless wash that has protection in it. Like Wolfgang Uber, or ECH2O etc. Much better value.
As for shine there’s not much that can beat Prostaff CC Water Gold, also it’s durability is nowhere close to bsd but it doesn’t suck - you can get up to a month with decent weather. The ease of application is absolutely fenomenal. Sadly it comes with a price which is price. Stuff ain’t cheap. But if you haven’t tried it yet I’d suggest you give it a shot!
There's a another fellow detailer that has found the perfect mix. 9 parts bead 1 part dream. It takes away the static and gives bead a boost in gloss. Also this mix takes away the high spots this dream creates if you use touch.
put it here brother! :) its too streaky at 1:1 isnt it. 1:9 works for every function. rinse aid, detail spray, interior, spray and shine, clay lube etc... and 75p for 500ml rather than 20 quid ;)
@@ForensicDetailing if you like playing with products try wetcoat 20ml in 473 distilled water. I use that when I dry the car when I use the 2 sprays onto a damp Applicator method then rinse off. One product does it all. You get the slickness and protection.👍
@@ForensicDetailing DM works better with the FTW towels from The Rag Company. 1-2 sprays per panel max with a primed wet towel (followed by a dry towel) should eliminate streaking.
I personally found it attracts dust just like beadmaker, living in semi rural Australia so stopped using it, use it as a drying aid on other peoples cars though love the gloss it gives
I found when using BEADMAKER that it's really glossy and really slick, looks amazing once fully cured but it doesn't last long as it attracts a lot of dust!! Very annoying when spend the time cleaning your pride and joy and then adding a gloss enhancer for the extra little touch but then the next day or 2 it's full of dust and the glass is dulled down because of it! Does this do the same thing do you know? And how long does the gloss & slickness of this last? 🤔
@Lee Francis everytime I've applied I've always followed the instructions, couple of sprays on each panel, spread then buff off and left if a good 8hrs to full cure (making sure it's not gonna rain or get wet within that time) literally a couple of days after its full of dust, I can blow on the car and the dust blows off so it's just sat on the surface, I think p&s aslo made a product to apply after beadmaker to cancel out the dust attraction but I can't be arsed applying something straight after just for that so I just stopped buying it
Some of their Paint Gloss, after the Beadmaker, is supposed to solve this. Haven’t had this problem myself but the guys at Rag Company have discussed it.
I think different products suit different colours, I have a molten orange fiesta st and beadmaker really does make the metallic and pearl pop but on the misses kuga that’s grey not so much.
Hi - love your video’s. I bought bead maker and dream maker and love it. In terms of shine what do you think is better. These products or Gyeon Wet Coat?
...also, I think the wow factor can be short lived as Griots, Gyeon and Carpro Elixir all provide decent gloss and slickness with additional benefits of durability and beadage, so I'm a bit perplexed where this fits in? Would it be for a sunny day when you just want some car time for the day or when you taking you car to a meet/show? For a few quid more I'm thinking of something that has more benefits 🤔
People such as me, who do not want to add protection on top of a ceramic coating that offers the best protection and hydrophobicity on planet earth; but also want a nice boost in gloss and a drying aid or final wipe…this is where a product like this comes in. I don’t want to put an inferior protection over my protection. I just want a safe drying aid and boost in gloss. A product I can wipe down after air drying my car, to make sure all the water and minerals are free, giving best gloss.

@@ForensicDetailing Oh no worries John I was thinking out loud, they just struck me as very similar products all-round but only P&S got the attention (on the back of Bead Maker!) Also made me wonder whether they're outsourcing to the same lab (I haven't looked into the practices of either brand).
Liking this style of review. Wowo does Show Stopper for the exact same reason, there were a lot of positive reviews for that, but didn’t get on with it. Going to give this a try. Also your thinking of Laurel wreath? Gladioli are what Dame Edna used to wave about.
I stopped using Beadmaker as it seemed to attract more dust than any other QD I’ve used. I read that this mixed with BM can potentially lessen the amount of dust attracted to the car 🤷🏼♂️
Beadmaker overall is a bad product. BAs hydrophobics, bad durability, and is a dust magnet. Also, not exactly cheap, since you will to use frequently to keep the car protected.
I haven't had enough experience yet with Dream Maker, but I can tell you that it is a completely different product from Bead Maker (which I have used for years). I have to admit that I am a Bead Maker fan boy, because it has worked perfectly for me for years. I know some will argue, but Bead Maker continues to impress me. After buying my wife's vehicle just short of two years ago, I gave it a good decontamination process including clay bar and IPA wipe, followed by Bead Maker. I had the intention of getting it polished and ceramic coated, but life has just gotten in the way and I haven't had the time or energy. All it has had over the past two years is ONR washes with Bead Maker as a drying aid. I typically wash every other week, so it is always getting a fresh layer of protection on it. That said, my life really got flipped upside down last fall and over the winter after the birth of my son. Her vehicle went 6 months without being washed, including an entire Minnesota winter with rain, snow, ice, mud and loads of road salt/deicer. I expected it to be very hard to clean, and I did not think there would be any beading or protection left behind. I presoaked it with ONR at standard 256:1 dilution, and hit it with my pressure washer. To my amazement, the pressure rinse was very effective and the surface still beaded (in the bigger BM style) extremely well. Followed with a standard rinseless contact wash, dried with Bead Maker and the result was a glowing and glossy vehicle that looked like it had been lovingly cared for on a weekly basis.
@@MegaFregel really? This is something that hundreds of professional "proper" detailers do on a daily basis. Ask Yvan LaCroix or Levi Gates. I do this regularly on a corrected and coated vehicle with soft GM black paint. Zero scratches or marring.

Hi Jon. I paid $13.99 (Cdn) for a 475 ml bottle here in Canada 🇨🇦. As some here have mentioned, there several TH-cam videos discussing the difference between Bead Maker and Dream Maker and when to use both. A lot of info on this video all the same.
It's been a year now. Still using this or have you moved onto something else? It'd be helpful for products like this to tape a line down the hood and spray one side with the product and leave the other side uncoated to see what actual difference it makes in terms of shine.
Among your multiple points, i would add the elephant in the room that was the main issue with beadmaker: attracting dust on the paint. Also, from the guys at rag company, the process to apply was tricky. Multiple towel, first application requires loads of products and a specific process. Not the easiest quick wax product to apply. The positive was after initial application, you can just refresh after a wash with a few spray. Dreammaker seems easier to apply according your video, so that's a plus. It also boost gloss and slickness, which were the big selling points of beadmaker. I would put dreamaker and beadmaker against each over from this. Maybe beadmaker reacts better on slightly wet cars, making a better drying aid. Or the other way around.
Beadmaker's only issue imo, was the freaking dust attraction! its so bad after 2 days outside it looks as if you drove down the dustiest rally stage. otherwise its a product you cant screw up with. If you have a car in dry climate forget about beadmaker especially if it sits outside.
Mines on its way now for a week. I have some real nice paint on my hellcat with the indigo blue and you can really get the gloss looking insane on that car. So we shall see.
You said that it leaves something on the paint which makes it glossy and slick, but at the same time you say that it doesn‘t affect an underlying LSP‘s beading. How is that supposed to work?
No idea but yes this is an actual product claim. Funny enough though I remember speaking to waxmode about this because we observed this behaviour with beadmaker. But it literally makes no sense how it could do this.
@@AndreasSchwarzinger go on, explain how you’d go about objectively testing if a product “leaves something behind” other than using it and making shit up yourself? A test. Not your “opinion”.
My question is what makes this better than beadmaker, which is super glossy and slick..? My only issue with beadmaker is it seemed to attract dust.. If that issue is solved than im in
This is the burning question... I find them very similiar personally so if you dont like beadmaker I dont think you will like this... if you love BM you will love this.
Hey John 👋 you need to try Wolfgang Uber rinseless wash. Dilute it 3 oz to 1 gallon of water. You get a great QD/drying aid with amazing gloss and slickness just like Dreamaker but at an even better price. I’ve always thought if you’ve got a coated car why would you want to mask it with a QD that leaves protection behind? Wolfgang Uber rinseless does the majority of my cleaning work now! And I still get amazing gloss for a few days and the amazing water behaviour of my protection 👍
@@ForensicDetailing even though it’s a rinseless I can testify it absolutely leaves gloss and a lovely slickness behind. I’ve used dream maker and it’s very similar. It even encapsulates like ONR so it’s a proper rinseless wash. Its amazing stuff mate and definitely worth a go. The gloss stays for up to a week max. Oh and the scent is lovley 👍 Mckees 37 doesn’t leave anything behind but it’s better on the cleaning front due to its ability to be used as a prep spray 👍
@@ForensicDetailing Wolfgang Uber leaves behind some gloss enhancing polymers (similar to optimum no rinse in this regard). Side note that these polymers left behind don’t tend to cause any issues if you follow with another product like a sealant etc, they are not that durable and get removed by the carrier of the sealant etc.
I use Uber (the original non-SiO2 version) as a rinseless & QD, then top it with ECH2O for a bit of ceramic & duragloss quickwax as a sacrificial layer. Probably overkill/waste but I'm trying to just use up everything I've bought. Uber is really easy to work with whereas ECH2O dilution seems to be a bit more finicky, too strong and it doesn't wipe off easily and leaves a residue. I never buff dry either, these products just seem to need a damp wipe/level. I'm sure if you got in close with the right light you might see a bit of unbuffed product behind, but I can live with that over dragging a dry cloth that may have some speck that wasn't encapsulated that I somehow missed.
Good watch Jon! Think it comes down to personal preference on these type of 'gloss enhancing' products. It's something I have never used nor understood why others would, that's just me though, you clearly love it 👍 The defining question for me is could you spot this product in a line up of several cars with other well known spray detailers... I honestly don't think so & that's how I draw my conclusions personally with these type of products. Keep the content coming though mate! 👌
Prolly not on highly polished paint but u never know.. but i could from feel.it with towel I think. Has really nice feel to it. I think u might like it's so hard to say cuz it's a proper marmite one this some hated bm
its a bit suspicious that Rag Company get rid of WOWOs (with show stopper) and almost immediatley release the exact same product with PS. I do like the product though. It does leave some residue and interferes with my LSP. but not that much
It's not suspicious. No distributer wants to drop brands, they are their to sell them and make money and TRC go well beyond what other distributers do with social media to show people products. If i had a brand i would be on their case to stock it. Maybe it just was not selling or there were commercial problems. Who knows.
Just ordered mine,I’ve been using carplan number 1 super ceramic as my go to spray for the last year or so,it’s great stuff I think,I’ll give this a fair trial when it turns up though

Loads say they had this problem I never really saw it. The rally comment made me laugh lol
Interesting Jon, I wonder if it will sit ok on top of a wax like BH double speed ?
Should do yes
@@ForensicDetailing Thank you, might give it a go !
Have you used Wolfgang Uber? It seems to be a similar product and can be mixed down v cheaply
Love the phoenix nights car alarm loop haha :D
Loved the Phoenix Nights bit. Can you hear me now?! 😂
Hi do you think it would be ok to apply Dreamaker over a ceramic coating.?….many thanks
yes m,8
@@ForensicDetailing thank you
We need a shootout with other products Jon like Shinee wax and one and done 😄
This seems quite similar to wowos show stopper, have you ever tried it,I believe they make it in Scotland
One of the best I've used in this kind of product is power maxed summer jacket or there winter coat
Hey Jon, based on your experience how does dream maker compare with gyeon quick detailer in terms of slickness and gloss?
i think dreammaker slicks up more but they are both pretty epic on gloss.
As usual, informative and entertaining!!! Thank you!!
Comprehensive review, cheers Jon 👍🏼👍🏼
Mines on its way now for a week. I have some real nice paint on my hellcat with the indigo blue and you can really get the gloss looking insane on that car. So we shall see.
Thanks for the video, would have loved to have seen it tested with the gloss measuring kit 👌🏼
Does this block the self cleaning properties of a ceramic sealant
God knows m8
Massive beadmaker fan but i do get dusting on car has you had this with dreammaker?
do you think you can mix bead & dream maker together to get super gloss ?
no mate :) dont mix them
@@ForensicDetailing I’m seeing this late but thanks for the information
Just ordered along with some Gyeon QD.
Wolfgang uber wash is slick and costs alot less. When you mix it its .63 cents for 20 ozs.Heck of alot cheaper.
Not in UK though
Good video Jon that Timelapse jingle 😂
How would you compare this to Turtle Wax Pure Shine?
Oh jeez I think both do a similar thing good gloss and slick but lower water repellency.
John, what do you do for a living that allows you to be this stress free while making sweet detailing videos lol?
work buddy
What microfibres do you use and where did you get them from ?
th-cam.com/video/KBs3CFAQImM/w-d-xo.html
Totally forgot about that video cheers bud 👍
"Over the next 60 seconds to 1 minute". Where can I find that T-shirt?
:) :) :)
@@ForensicDetailing i might have to critically test this claim
@@AndreasSchwarzinger sure mate. And how do you plan on performing that test?
@@glumdogtrillionaire that‘s actually very, very easy
@@AndreasSchwarzinger go on, explain how you’d go about objectively testing if a product “leaves something behind” other than using it and making shit up yourself?
A test. Not your “opinion”.
My question is what makes this better than beadmaker, which is super glossy and slick..? My only issue with beadmaker is it seemed to attract dust.. If that issue is solved than im in
This is the burning question... I find them very similiar personally so if you dont like beadmaker I dont think you will like this... if you love BM you will love this.
Just wondering if you have ever used adbl Jon? Their synthetic wax is phenomenal
I dont think it is available in the UK though id really like to see it professinally tested.
Yeah I think they'd like it
Very good video john .
HYBRID SOLUTIONS CERAMIC WAX SPRAY COATING any good?
Not sure if I missed you say something about the smell of DM?, for sure it's personal pref but God DM smells lush !.
Jeff told me to come here 😂 Looking forward to your thoughts on this, Been playing with it myself!.
Edited due to a horrific typo 😂
haha :)
Been playing with what? 😳
John are you wheels painted on the rim ? Thanks
No mate
Could you use this product on top of fusso coat ? Love all your content btw and so many products I have brought after watching your videos 😂
untested but yes
Advice needed please: Best product for removing swirl marks? Cheers 👍🏻
See how to polish car videos in detailing fundamentals playlist
The only thing that could make this better for Jon is if Bilt-Hamber made it😄😇
Designer's cap, Jon? You changed...
😂
Hey John 👋 you need to try Wolfgang Uber rinseless wash.
Dilute it 3 oz to 1 gallon of water. You get a great QD/drying aid with amazing gloss and slickness just like Dreamaker but at an even better price. I’ve always thought if you’ve got a coated car why would you want to mask it with a QD that leaves protection behind?
Wolfgang Uber rinseless does the majority of my cleaning work now! And I still get amazing gloss for a few days and the amazing water behaviour of my protection 👍
Can it add gloss if it's a pure waterless wash, don't these leave nothing behind? I do want to try it though, this and McKees
Oh and the scent is lovley 👍
Mckees 37 doesn’t leave anything behind but it’s better on the cleaning front due to its ability to be used as a prep spray 👍
Love to see how the gloss compares to Gyeon QD which works out at £5 500ml if you buy 4ltrs.
The Gyeon ceramic detailer is the best I've used mate 👍
Great stuff
@@kevinb7058 I need to use up 3lrts of QD first!
Used this on half a hood used maquiar's x-press spray wax on other half saw no difference.
Den Perry uses it 👍
Sound like a good pre-show / car meet gloss spray
Bead maker only lasts about two weeks, now they have a topper for a topper on the topper lmao.
Good watch Jon! Think it comes down to personal preference on these type of 'gloss enhancing' products. It's something I have never used nor understood why others would, that's just me though, you clearly love it 👍
The defining question for me is could you spot this product in a line up of several cars with other well known spray detailers...
Can it be used on ceramic coated cars ❓
Apparently Yes but I've not tested this
Hi
What about cobalt+ from auto smart
its a bit suspicious that Rag Company get rid of WOWOs (with show stopper) and almost immediatley release the exact same product with PS. I do like the product though. It does leave some residue and interferes with my LSP. but not that much
🤔🧐
It's not suspicious. No distributer wants to drop brands, they are their to sell them and make money and TRC go well beyond what other distributers do with social media to show people products. If i had a brand i would be on their case to stock it. Maybe it just was not selling or there were commercial problems. Who knows.
@@ForensicDetailing love the channel. Keep them going
Just ordered mine,I’ve been using carplan number 1 super ceramic as my go to spray for the last year or so,it’s great stuff I think,I’ll give this a fair trial when it turns up though
Got it today,it’s really nice to use 👍🏻 thanks for putting me on to this jon 😁
@@minioner5080 did you dilute it at all please?
@@amyk9813 no,I use it as it comes 👍🏻
Definitely more aware of how to handle a microfiber- nice to see you've got the corner between your thumb and index finger 😉. I'm planning on buying P&S brake buster to clean rims and tyres! On a different one, have you used Lithium Innerspace interior cleaner/ protector with UV protection? Just wondering if its all the hype?
APC tends to work for me on interiors m8. But who knows it might be good
@@ForensicDetailing I thinking about more of protecting plastics from UV damage and keeping the plastics healthy, I think an APC (already use Bilt Hamber Surfex HD 1 to 10 with deionised water) but want to go a step further and add a decent protective layer afterwards
@@79blustone P&S Xpress interior cleaner is awesome if you can get pass the strong cherry scent, leaves a slight darker matte tone to plastics. If you want no change in look and a even easier product thats better for info screens and gauges Griot's interior detailer is the go to stuff. I only use these two products as i dont like using apc for cleaning as i want the protection step while cleaning.
@@Perazzi11 I agree about protecting the plastics, apc dries it out and I don't like the looks after, I've been lightly spritzing a microfiber with some furniture polish out of a spray can which looks ok, gives a natural finish but o want to use something that's more UV and restorative. I'll have a look at P&S, Griots I'm sure I've seen something that made me mentally add a note. I'll check them both out. Just wondered if anyone has had any experience on this channel with Lithium innerspace- its bloody expensive from the US
Inner Space is my favorite interior detailer. For heavier cleaning, try Hyper Cleanse.
What towel ia that? What GSM?
360 gsm came from mill you cant buy it m8
Tacsystem shinne wax ❤️🎸
P&S is amazing company them products are good shampoo tier dressing interior cleaner dream maker they have amazing products
You need to try EZ gloss boss if you like this 👍
Will you do a yum cars or Sam’s detailing product review ?
ive not done a brand review for many many years... waiting for something to really raise the bar so high even michael jordan cant clear it. maybe these brands can get there one day who knows.
I’d like to see a Sam’s review or at least his products included when doing a group test to see how they compare. I tried the ceramic boost recently hoping for good things but got a lot of water spotting, maybe user error but I think a review on here would suss that out!
@@stanl1979 I’ve used a lot of Sam’s products and the ceramic boost and it’s a really good and never had any issues but would love to see how this and others compares to other brands
“Over the next 60 seconds to a minute”.. 😅👍🏻
0:03 I had to rewind that a few times
Jon said at 5:17 over the next 60 seconds to 1 minute the microfibre starts gliding , 60 seconds is one minute
Indeed it is my friend! Either the margin for error is 0.0. or that's what's called a mistake 😁😁😁
@@ForensicDetailing haha fair enough
Have you tried Chrome Embellish its a UK product, does the same with the shine and slickness. Be good if you can do a product review its pretty cheap too.
yes tried. I thought it was a no nonsense good QD for the price, reviewed it many many years ago in the PVD shootout.
Great reviews by ths man. But I hate the Bilt Hamber reviews, I have never like the BH reviews, as I noted that they filter out and do not like any review which is factual or does not flatter them. But bar that good show old boy!
You can say whatever you like about bilt hamber here as long as its not rude, so say what you didn't like because it has more weight than saying they filtered you. What was the fact that did not flatter them. all sorts of sh1t housery goes down with fake comments. What you should do is stop posting under a fake profile, and back your words up with your real identity, because the way you are obsessed about this suggests to me you have a vested interest in this some how.
