Really awesome video Jards, great to hear and see how you try to apply everything you've learned/experienced whilst simracing and comparing and adjusting it to real racing. The things you learn about setups for this car will surely also help with creating setups in ACC.
It was also awesome to finally meet you and have a little chat. We went to have a look at the GT3 cars in the busstop and after that we watched your race from the grandstand before Raidillon. We couldn't stay for the full race, the kid got a bit cranky because it was time for his sleep. Got some cool photo's and video's from Sunday though. Too bad that the 2nd qualy and race didn't go too well but hey, that's part of racing.

That was brilliant! I was watching the stream, and I saw a car which must've been pretty much on full opposite lock coming out of the Bus Stop, and I went "oh no, that looks like Jardier! " But I also went "that must be Jardier putting Win Diesel to shame. Let's go! \m/". Perhaps save drifting on the exit of the final corner 'til the last lap in future. :)

5:27 when I races in karts, we were always on the track before the season started in such conditions, also when there was just a little bit water on the track, ma mechanic gave me slicks, and I have learned a lot of control of the kart, so I was able to keep up with more experienced drivers.
Godd job, I hope you will learn a lot while enjoying this, you are one of the most possitive minded people I have seen.

As my first race season as well in a fwd fiesta I can relate very well with the understeer. I'm still trying to learn and gain experience just as you are. I am also trying to have a much more positive and uplifting time like you are. I am just disappointed when I have issues and know that I can do much better than I am currently. Thank you for your great mindset and attitude, I will change my mindset as well. I have also learned that the mental approach is a huge part of Motorsport.

I tried watching the stream but it was in French, so really hard to understand what was going on. I obviously don't speak French. And you can't watch a race with subtitles.

I have 2 questions:
How much steering wheel max angle do you have? 90°?
What is your strategy to balance the risk of over pushing and ending in wreck vs. having to figure out the limits of the car and how to notice you're close and how to catch it before it gets out of control?
No idea about the steering angle, I would say like "normal car" almost, a bit more sensitive and clean but similar.
Strategy for balance that? Hmmm I dont know you just send and pray :D Nah hmmm you need to really learn to limit of car and yourself what you can do, but at the same time mistakes happen so you dont think about it :)
In terms of catching slides or such I have no idea, it just gets there with muscle memory experience :)

Yep, that's my daily experience in ACC! :) But in my case, it's a skill issue unfortunately.

Sorry. I'm late to seeing this and commenting on it. The early talk about knowing your car is so important even for the everyday commuting driver. Especially on wet roads.
The camera was in the right spot to see, in the mirrors, someone trying to pass you. This was really fun to watch and hear. Running over those rumble strips make much more noise than in the sims.
Serious question about the steering force. How well do the sim direct drive devices replicate the real thing now that you have experienced it?

I moved from irl motorsport amateur on V8 stock and formula dxb at Dubai Autodrome to sim racing after getting married to save money. 😅
It's nice to see the opposite.
On the other hand, I kept doing formula dxb time to time while sim racing and the Dubai Autodrome on PC2 used to be good practice before hitting the track irl in formula dxb.

what motor is in the clio cup cars ? are they like the mx-5 where they take the motor out and redo the cars for racing and then put it back in ?

I've no experience of these cars or the championship, but just an observations, are you short shifting? Or no point running it out past 6k?
Yes its turbo car so you have to shift around 5800 rpm (limiter is 6500) :)
Amezing to watch!! Would be sick if you had second cam looking right left back something. So that when someone behind close we acc see the pressure. Would make it even better. And like keep that cam small upper left or something. Just an idea. Great vid anyways broo!!
