I love looking at your collection , it’s almost like going on a succulent tour, thanks Liz for all your information , I never get sick of listening , and watching.💐
I'll be praising you as often as possible. Mama Liz you're a godsend! Thank you for sharing your wisdom, your time and your love. May God bless you, your family and your gorgeous babies, always💙💙💙
Amazing! It is absolutely amazing and wonderful what you are doing with these plants. More specifically creating frost hardy strains. And also taking existing strains and pushing them to their limits to show people that they are not as sensitive and temperamental as much of the information out there suggests. They are more resilient than we think and you're proving that! What would I do without you? 🥰 ( My Little Lily pad looks disgusting right now LOL there's so much pollen in the air and you know they are kind of sticky and just a little bit fuzzy, so everything is just sticking to it and I can't find the proper space for it yet and it's got little burn spots on it and all this pollen stuck to it LOL the poor thing 🤣)
I encourage my sister to watch ur video now she has subscribed I am so proud that she did cuz she loves all ur plants she’s impressed,🥰😄😏 thx for sharing again Miss Liz keep it up
Great vid as always liz I LOVE watching them all!. Thank you. I grow alot of my sucuents exposed in the garden - i have found that sometimes the original plant from the nursery (which probabbly had a pampered life) ends up looking battered and half dead after extreem heat or cold and all the newer (but mature) growth fairs amazingly well to the elements......so far anyway 😬.
Your vlogs are always informative Ms. Liz thank you.. May I ask the name of that euphorbia or cactus with a pink tip behind the jelly beans, on the last part of the video please?
You just made laugh so hard .. grabe yung 25good 72% dead ... Jusmiyo pag ako sad ang lungkot ko na ..its just how you say it.. now gardening is soo much fun because of you.. thank you for that..
I realized that I have to relax. I feel that plants can sense our energy. The more we stress about them, the more they die. Kung sino pa yung pinababayaan, sya pa yung malago and tubo.
I absolutely love your videos Liz 💖. I live in SW Ontario Canada zone 6. What are the lowest temperatures at night in winter in your area and what are the highs usually during the day in winter in Canbeerra?
Hi Liz. You now have winter and I now have summer. I wanted to ask a question, Aguadis Romeo or the whole Aguadis family when is their growing season? And the Blue Braid also when do they grow? Thank you for the instructive videos
Spring and summer is their growing season. They slow down when it gets cold if they're grown outdoors. Indoors is a different story. They'll continue to grow especially if the temperature is warm.
Hi Liz, thanks again for sharing with us. I have a question. Are ceramic pots porous? The only ones that are porous that I’m aware of are the terracottas! Thank you 🙏🏽
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK oh that makes a lot of sense. So technically, so long as I use better draining soil I can use any pot. I was contemplating using only terracotta, but that can be costly. Thank you Liz 💕💕💕
I am just learning, but is the reason you leave the dying leaves on so the plant can pull the water back into it self? Maybe it’s easier for the base to use its own juices rather than water from the tiny roots?
Oh and finally! I had been searching for someone from Canberra who has a succulent video channel. I've been watching the wrong ones, like Laura Eubanks who lives in an area in the US that gets 1-2 rainy days a year and no negative temperature. Soooo glad I stumbled across your channel! 🙏
Welcome kabayan. I'm assuming you're Filipino. I'll be away for a while and will be back in spring. Send me a message on Instagram. We should be able to organize something when the weather warms up.
So just a question. Can Sedum Clavatum handle full sun while the temperature is at 35°c? I bought a clavatum on april 1st and until now I can't place her in full sun because of the rising heat
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK oh ok tnx. They have been sitting in my morning sun area for almost 2 months now because I feared that they will just die on me if I gave them full sun😅
I rewatch your vlogs, and just need to say how upset I was when recently I've found a few dead bees. Two on my car, they were whole, so am assuming they were poisoned. My neighbor too, has found a few dead ones. There's a hive living in a hole in the big gum over the back fence and also a neighbor has a few hives. People say, I cut off flowers, but if there's moisture on the leaves, the bees 🐝 like to rest and have a drink. And bang they will be poisoned. We don't want to rely on humans pollinating with little brushes in the future. That would be 😥sad. Our insects are in decline.
My front and back garden at the moment is buzzing with the sound of beezzzzz... The whole ground and my fence is ALIVE... I planted flowering herbs and plants like thyme, salvia, etc in my garden and also gave some thyme to the neighbors across the street. Got plenty of fruits on my plum tree too. This is why I don't like using those systemic fungicide insecticide as they do kill the precious little ones. Those insecticides stays on the succulents for a looong time unless you top water and wash them off.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK. Yes I have bees visiting too and they also love my pond for a drink. And sometimes when you buy a plant , one can't always be sure systemic chemicals have not been used. I will now be asking, but do you knock back a wishlist plant. But repotting, water therapy on roots and isolation for a short time would probably be beneficial.

That is so true Jemma. Most of the succulents I have in the garden are growing like weeds. Unattended and un-pampered.
Hello! I didn’t get notify this time 🙁But here I am😜 happy Friday! 🥰🥳

Euphorbia mammillaris f. variegata (Corn Cob).

I absolutely love your videos Liz 💖. I live in SW Ontario Canada zone 6. What are the lowest temperatures at night in winter in your area and what are the highs usually during the day in winter in Canbeerra?
-11°C/12.2°F coldest and average winter temperature during the day is 52°F/12°C.

Spring and summer is their growing season. They slow down when it gets cold if they're grown outdoors. Indoors is a different story. They'll continue to grow especially if the temperature is warm.
Thank you dear Liz
You need to create a dome over these beautiful plants when that water shotgun out of the succulent I nearly died 😩🌷
I grow them to go into my open garden so they have to get acclimatized and the only way to do that is to leave them out.
Are you selling some of those sedum clavatrum by any chance ???
Not at the moment Fatima. Thanks for watching.
Hi Liz, thanks again for sharing with us. I have a question. Are ceramic pots porous? The only ones that are porous that I’m aware of are the terracottas! Thank you 🙏🏽
They're not porous, so it's important to use a fast draining soil. I use my Advance soil mix on my ceramic pots.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK oh that makes a lot of sense. So technically, so long as I use better draining soil I can use any pot. I was contemplating using only terracotta, but that can be costly. Thank you Liz 💕💕💕
Wow they look so attractive Ma'am Lizk 😊🙏
Thank you.🥰
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK You're welcome Ma'am Lizk 😊🙏
Hi Liz! Do you have a greenhouse? Or just the shade cloth?
No green house. Just shade cloth.
Son una hermosura
I am just learning, but is the reason you leave the dying leaves on so the plant can pull the water back into it self? Maybe it’s easier for the base to use its own juices rather than water from the tiny roots?
In their growing season, drying bottom leaves are a sign that the plant is not getting enough water.
Would love to be toured around your garden. Canberran here! :)

You need to first acclimatize them. My sedum clavatum loves the sun at even 45°C. It's only the frost that they get a bit tender.

Hi maam lizk... Pede poba ko gumamit ng coco peat sa soil mix ko dito sa pinas?

Do you water them in the winter
No, I don't unless they're really dry and wrinkled. Then I soak them and bring it indoors where it's warmer.

I'm pretty sure that insect wasn't a bee, but a wasp.
You're right. It is a wasp but a friendly one. Got a few of them in my garden and they still help to pollinate things.
There's always one that wants to be awkward
Man, that's a wasp tho. Not a bee.
Too many bees get mistaken for a wasp. This one in the video is a Callohesma flavopicta. A native Australian bee. Thanks for watching.
