JBL Partybox Encore Unboxing and Real Review - Is it a Keeper?

  • Today on Real Reviews we are unboxing and reviewing the JBL Partybox Encore. This version comes with 2 high quality, metal, wireless mics and hits all the notes. While it definitely does have bass, you true bass lovers may be a bit disappointed, but there is only so much a 5.25" subwoofer can do even in a ported enclosure. That being said this speaker definitely has good sound quality and is excellent as a karaoke speaker. The mic sound quality sounds great to me and and 2 mics makes it even better.
    There is another version that is a step down called the Partybox Encore Essentials. So please be sure which you are purchasing if you decide to get this unit. For some reason it is no longer sold on Amazon, but can still be found a Sams Club. Get it while you can!
    This JBL Partybox Encore can be purchased for $299 from the link below.
    Thank you for watching.

    I have this speaker too, and the bass is absolutely phenomenal if you put it on the floor. And luckily, It's designed perfectly to do that because it's so boxy and stable. It'll never get kicked over. It's really meant to be there. And you would not believe the extra bass performance you get. It turns it into a bass beast, all the while retaining its detailed and crystal clear highs and mids. Just the greatest thing. Blows away my Soundcore Motion Boom Plus and Tribit Stormbox Blast. They sound like transistor radios by comparison.

      Yes, this little speaker is something else. I just got a 2nd one delivered and will be comparing 2 Encores vs 310 vs 710. Hopefully in the next week or so I will have the video out.

    Would you rather get this than doing your own karaoke set up? I'm trying to get some karaoke stuff for my place & came across this because it's been on sale since Black Friday for $179, but I've been also doing a lot of karaoke set up research. The cheapest set up a lot of people have recommended are a couple of Fifine mics off Amazon & a speaker. The mics plus the speakers would be around $230, so I'm debating if I should just get the JBL Partybox Encore instead.

    • @Real_Reviews
      @Real_Reviews  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      For the current price, quality, ease, and portability, I would go with the Encore. The mics are solid and made of metal. They take 2 AA batteries each. The sound quality of the mics and speaker are very good. Plus, you can connect the speaker to your TV via Bluetooth and have yourself a nice karaoke setup.

    I just picked one up and I notice that any change of grip on the microphone is audible on the speaker. I am wondering if I’ve got a defective unit. Is it normal for the mics to pickup that noise?

      I only thing I did was add the batteries and turn them on. They both just connected successfully. I can tell you that only the mics that come with the specific speaker will work. Mics from another Encore will not work. They must be paired to the speaker somehow from the factory.

    • @Real_Reviews

      Hopefully, you will not end up breaking both microphones. But if you did, there is a 3.5mm aux in port on the back that may work for a microphone. I have not yet tested this. But regardless, it would most likely be lower end than the nice metal wireless ones.

      Because I don't trust most battery types since they leak and can destroy your electronics. I had issues with Energizer, Duracell, and especially Rayovac. I will no longer use any of those in my devices any longer. Now, I either use AC Delco or rechargeable Panasonic Eneloop or Ikea Ladda batteries. Thanks for asking.
