@Alpha Elite not drinking isnt equal to being square and boring tho, im quite fun and open, i just really dont like alcohol, its like 🤔 how some people just dont like spam, i can drink, i find it ok to drink, i just dont want it
Mate, I'm right back at you. Ten years ago I came across one of your videos. You inspired the shit out of me. Now, ten years later, I experienced everything: working tipsy in a bar, creating content for a nightplace and even managing a club. This all during my student life, and just wanna say: thanks for the inspirational ride !
I swear the comment section of these videos are at least 20% people who don't drink but just like this guy's energy, vibes and ability to teach. Myself included of course
Man, I’ve been following this channel for YEARS. I just got a job as a bartender without any experience and I watched this whole series after struggling for a couple of days and it really pushed me up to the next level. Thanks for the videos man
I appreciate how the video highlights the importance of density and using the appropriate tools to achieve clean and distinct layers. The presenter's tips and tricks, such as using the back of a spoon or pouring slowly over the edge of a glass, are invaluable for achieving picture-perfect results.
Best layering tech video I've seen by far, love the extra options/flair with the spiral and the cherry. Also it just seems like common sense now that you've said it, but I never would've thought toadd vodka to a liqueur to change density, bloody awesome!
I’m a very new bartender and your course is just so helpful and informative. The way you explain the ingredients and the steps just makes it easy to understand. I literally walked into the bar with confidence after watching you and acted like I knew what I was doing lol
Honestly this ability for mixing and stacking densities is pretty amazing for chemistry as well as practical use for bio research when dealing with organic fluids and integrations. TIPSY I LOVE YOU KEEP STACKING AND BRINGING THE HOME BOYS AND HOME GIRLS CLAPPING!
@@hdhil3137It's both. Chemistry involves a lot of understanding the differences in densities between various fluids to know how they'll react with one another here. But all of chemistry still relies on physics to make sense of everything that's happening as part of it.
i m watching from japan. your lecture is so kind and interesting. my english skill is very low because i understand your english 10-20%. i representing subscribe.
Omg I love this channel so much, not only is this an amazing class for free but the way you said "fear not my son, or my daughter, or my friend" pls ily never stop being iconic
Hes a great educator because he is also a brilliant communicator and oozes passion. He loves what he does and it shows. Anyone can learn their subject and attend a teaching course, but you cant teach passion. He has it in bucket loads!
I suppose I would say I watch these videos casually, but I love them. It makes approaching entry level and higher drink making much less daunting and scary lol. Shoutout to the host and everyone behind the scenes to make these, great informative work !
hey my friend just wanted to say i have made so many cocktails and learnt so much from u this year thank u so much for bringing me such joy to bartending 🥃💨
I absolutely LOVE Midori and have been sorta winging recipes on my own, but I always wanted to try my hand at layering and this is the perfect recipe to try it with
Amazing!!! More alcohol helps liquid float, more sugar makes it sink. Drizzle over barspoon/cherry/side of glass to control the mix/layering. Attempting to bone up for a potential gig and who better to learn with than the man himself, Skye!!!! :D
In Czechia there is a popular mixed shot, called Semafor (traffic light) you mix griotte in the bottom, cream liquere in the middle and peppermint Liqueur on the top
as a fairly new bartender (ive only been doing it for 5 months for the same restaurant ive been at) the bar spoon technique with the spirals astounded me! thnk you so much for the tips
Hi, I agree. Or physics. The lesson of density right here is worth more than a month with my teacher. She was so stiff that the wood pointer was very animated standing on the floor. Yes, I'm old. Yours, Ann
I really love how you evolved from the "idiot loud with random low budget bitches" to the guy who actually suitable to make a funny bar show with lots of infos and fun ❤
Also fun little trick you can do with that “slow pour” but with coffee and creamer. Pour in coffee as normal however the coffee will be the top layer. Use a spoon or other slow pour method to pour the creamer. Creamer will sit at the bottom since it’s more dense. Then all you gotta do is mix it and your coffee will turn light brown. Neat little trick you can do to put a smile on a kiss face or impress a friend briefly
VERY helpful and informative. Love your energy and enthusiasm and I especially appreciate your explanation on why some alcohols float and why some sink. Plus, the tip on how to change the behavior of a liquid was great! Thank you!
Dude, just discovered your channel and it's awesome! You do such an amazing job explaining things! And your accent makes the whole video way more enjoyable! Blessings from Harlem!
I definitely wanna show off using these techniques. Im not a bartender. But i will for sure be acting like one❣️thanks for the tips! Im off to the liquor store!
I got to see my dad explain to a female bartender how to make a Snake Bite, this was because she messed it up twice. Seeing the Guinness separate from the Angry Orchard which I think was the other alcohol component blew my mind as a teenager who has never seen something like that before. It was beautiful and fascinating at the same time. My dad was a bartender in college for over 12 years.
Hi, Your mother more like, son. Back in 1984 (I think) I took a two week intensive at American Bartender School, and graduated with honors. And a little black book with all my recipes and notes. I've lost my book in some box in one of my moves since then. The diploma might also be around somewhere... maybe? I came here because we were taught the skill and a recipe for a drink looking very much this but with five layers. It was called "The Rainbow". Very original I know. It might have been the OG Rainbow for all I know, since it was somewhere between learning to make a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned and felt a little Old School. I can't for the life of me remember what went into it. I think Cointreau was involved, and likely some vodka. I don't remember if blue Curacao was invented yet, but if it was my guess is that went in there too. I wouldn't be surprised if there might have been Grenadine too, but it might as well have been Crème de Casïs, so that's a bit of a difference flavor wise. I do remember the teacher's (likely) standing joke of "they watch you spend (X) minutes build the thing, say OH WOW, then take a stirrer and do this" with him swivelling the stirrer around, making that brown-green-gray liquid you get when you rinse out your brush in a glass of water when painting with watercolors as a kid. Subly selling us that sometimes it's very thankless to be a bartender. If someone that remember/knows the recipe would let me know, I'd be most grateful. It has become one of those brain worms (like an Ear worm, but more difficult to get rid of) of mine, and I would like to shut it up. I don't have Social Media, as you apparently should as an upstanding member of society, but due to injury (se below) I don't stand up very much. This is why I'm trying this way instead. By the way, I never resided in the US. Nor have I ever tasted any of the drinks, except a Virgin Sunrise. I'm very allergic to one of the side molecules that gets created when making alcohol. Then about 10 years after my foray into bartending, I got a car in my neck. I have been on serious painkillers ever since, and since I appreciate having both my kidneys and my liver, I've never experimented. I've never worked in a bar either. I did do an amteur apperance a a party onece, and my Kamikazes still gets talked about. I don't know If I can make one today to save my life, but a very long time ago I could. Sad story, I know... 😜. Yours, Ann
I work in a 5 star hotel as a fitness coach and I get all the drinks I want from the barmen secretly. 😂 I just love watching them mixing drinks it's so satisfying.
I no longer drink.... But I tell you, I love watching his mixology skills..... Can't stop watching.....i hope this doesn't cause me to start drinking again...lol
great video you explain very good the density, my mom explain how to layer a long time ago (I have a family of alcoholics) now i want a cocktail spoon and a shaker to impress my friends with good and beautifull drinks ps : all tour cocktails seem really good
“my son, or my daughter, or my friend” thank you for being inclusive with it made my day better
I don't drink alcohol but, the man is such an amazing educator that it's really interesting to watch.

Hey brother you should do more of these technique vids. This was awesome.
He literally just uploaded a whole series. It’s awesome

Love that you show all the different techniques, and love the humour. Absolutely stellar.

Hi, I agree. And about density. If someone like this would have taught high school physics, who knows how far it would have gone. Yours, Ann
Aight, this is the subject I have been waiting for. You really are an expert on this imo
I followed this exactly, step by step with precise execution. I ended up with the most delicious brown and grey drinks I've ever had.
