Van Halen - 1984 - Sound Design Tutorial on Oberheim OB-8 Synth. (Twinkly bits too.)

The song 1984 was originally recorded with an OB-Xa, but since I have the OB-8, I thought I'd demonstrate how I created the sounds I used to make my videos. At least one person in the comments asked how I created the "twinkly" sounds at the end of the song, so this video will demonstrate that.

BTW, if you have the OB-X8, for the LOWER part of the split, I'd try starting with the Xa patch C4, "RESONANCE SWEEP." I hear that's what sounds closest to the original recording.
