I think Walter Ending and Fires of Raven are both sad ending. In these 2 endings, we have to face 2 of our friends, In Fires of Raven we have to face Ayre, which is our closest friend, and the other one we have to face Walter, which is a character like Raven's father.

My favourite boss in the game. Both the fight and the emotional impact are amazing here. I have to blame Ayre for having such a fun move set. I couldn’t stop coming back to this fight despite how severely emotionally damaged I was.
Same. I honestly think her fight was better developed gameplay wise than the NG++ boss (incase u havent beaten it, which kinda just spammed weaker enemies at you + the boss) despite the pulse armor.
@@happycheese8006 The bosses test out different things that you learnt through out the entire game. Ayre is the shield and melee oriented attacks. The other is for multiple enemy management in two different levels and then aggressive assault management. The later one isn't bad once you bring AoE weapons.

I just find it difficult to enjoy crowd control fights when the first half of it just just me shooting one guy while running away from the other, but thats just me. You could argue this is 99% of the game outside of bosses tho lol, so im not entirely sure. I did enjoy the duo PCA HC and LC fight. Maybe im just coping with not using hardlock through the whole game cause someone told me it messes my aim lol.

She talks about how you could’ve walked together, the way she says it makes me think she was beginning to have deeper feelings for 621 or rather that she’s had those feelings for some time now. Thinking that makes this fight so much harder because it’s betraying your own friend on top of betraying someone you could’ve had a real future with.

And Ayre does have her own desires and dreams, Ayre sides with the Rubiconians quite a lot; sympathizing with her fellow Rubiconians. She wanted 621 to join her in their shared dream and wanted to save her Coral brothers and sisters. She is not an AI, she is a not a robot.

That "You were the only one..." voice cracking is legit heart-aching, an energy shade its tear and she can only wish our circumstances were different. That will never come to pass.
Last Dialogue must really hit 621 internally if there was a version where despite the augmentation limiting emotions. A small portion can be shown that 621 was hurt after traveling alongside Ayre. IF.
After the death of Chatty stick Carla brings up how 621 seems to be affected by the loss of someone. Rusty also mentions that you must of sacrificed something important to follow through with your plan IIRC. Objectively the best ending for humanity though, no coral WMDs are produced and no coral convergence that hijacks human tech leading to coral-human war.

In the end, it was thinking about “where there’s coral there’s blood” and that even if Arquebus kicked the bucket someone would come in stir things up again later down the line. Alas, it meant sacrificing the RLF and whoever else was on Rubicon, but Arquebus would have slaughtered them all eventually. Rusty… wish it didn’t have to be this way…

This ending reminds me a lot of the Destroy ending in Mass Effect 3. I also think this is the best ending for humanity. 621 doesn't betray those who help him and become a hidden hero, protecting the essence of humanity from the Coral's corruption.

In the end it was a job, and a job that needed to be completed. Plus no one deserves that kind of power or ability to bring about coral release, the RLF forgets this shit is self-replicating and was reaching critical mass before being stopped by the fires of Ibis
The RLF were all innocent bystanders in all this. They just wanted the Coral because for all they new some dunderhead scorched the planet and made it virtually uninhabitable and the only source of food they had was meal worms grown on Coral. There's a log you can find talking about how the corporation's Coral survey left little food for the starving children that they had. Dolmayan was the only one who new anything about what Coral really was. Only to have all life on the planet extinguished again. Ayre wasn't just fighting for the Coral, but as a native of the planet she didn't want to see burned away again.
