6:11 Love the sheer amount of venomous fury in the delivery, shoutout to Jon Lipow, Snail's voice actor. Man did an incredible performance to make Snail such a memorable character to love to hate.
I think it's the anticipation. First time, you don't know what it's gonna be like but with each shot you're like "hell yeah". On each following playthrough, you know what he'll say but you're just waiting for Rusty to deliver those badass lines. On top of that, the music score they have and the sudden muting of it just a hair before helps deliver the sound, the weight of each shot.
@@Alpharius2479Unlikely. Other ACs' expansions were always a new story and campaign. Besides, with how incompetent Balam was I doubt that a single Raven can turn the tide.

@@ulric8445 Lol. The RLF used Coral to eat, not for combat, and they were competent enough to understand the fact that any PCA tech must be destroyed before anyone lays claim to it, unlike Balam. I mean Carla leads a faction of people who straight up use Ayre's species as recreational drugs and then later tries to wipe out her entire species so no wonder Ayre doesn't really like her.
12:31 seems like cut content that was either scrapped or removed at the last minute. since the way they speak can also hint that you can keep some of the squads alive (by speed running the monster damage mostly)
Or once could, I could never seem to keep them alive even though I speedrun this worm a few times already. Just seems like scripted retreats for them just to set you up for that epic solo final stage. What I notice is - 1) Salt Lake Iguazu always dies before final stage; 2) Snail dies within the first half of the coral shieldings of the worm; 3) Chatty is the only one that could actually survive till the end (although this is also a toss up)
I never managed to keep them all alive even during attempts where I oneshot worms final shield and always shot its head at the first chance I got by abusing manual aiming and its spawn position.
I wonder if the "cut" dialogue plays when you keep the other units alive? Given that it's basically impossible to do so (I think they're scripted to drop to 1hp after the second shot) it could be why no on ever hears them.
I wonder if it's possible to cheat engine the AI health in order to verify if that's the case. Otherwise, I have never seen Iguazu survive the transition to 3rd phase
I wouldn’t think so, there’s not really any time for it to happen unless the mission is just prolonged to fit it all in - you would expect Michigan’s to still play
You're kinda wrong. When the worm deploys drones they take them out pretty efficiently. Also when the boss is downed on the ground they actually do shoot it in the head, they just deal zero damage for some reason, possibly so the player won't slack off.
To be fair in the briefing Iguana is on frontline which is prob supposed to be tank/aggro/leash. Snail is in a leadership position which ehhh he doesn't really do. Chatty is on Gunner position which makes sense since in Phase 2 Chatty says he'll deal with the drones, which he does.
“oh no you don’t… i ain’t going down first” - guy who 99% of the times does go down first
I've actually had instances where Snail was taken out first and it just makes me think "I bet iguazu is so happy right now to not be the 1st one out."

I don't care who you are; if you don't get tingles with the lead up to each shot you're wrong

I wish there was a route to side with Balam and kick Arquebus off Rubicon 3 or even a route for the PCA.
If the game gets a dlc in the style of the other core games I hope one of those is an option in it. Especially the pca route
