Firstborn due in about two weeks. Getting more real and videos like this help keep me calm cool and collected with thinking about things I CAN control.
Thank you for what you’re doing. I’m expecting my first child and I was freaking out at first. You gave me so much security and peace with all of your videos. I look forward to watch your videos on my journey.
Congrats! We love hearing that the videos had a positive impact. Glad to be there along your journey. If you can join us for our Tuesday live show, we welcome questions you may have.
Breastfeeding is not free (and not just because it takes mom time). While sometimes you can get insurance to pay for a breast pump, it doesn't pay for any other supplies you might need. Not saying you shouldn't try and do this or that it might not cut your costs, but it is far from free.
@@DadUniversity One thing that really helped me successfully breastfeed our first child was the fact that my husband helped by bringing him to me (sometimes that bending down to pick up the kid after giving birth can be really difficult), got me water etc. It's actually amazing how much a man can help his wife with breastfeeding! A good husband can be a God-send for us women.
Thank you for the great advice! My ex and I are expecting in a little over a month. I've been trying to find other ways to put a little money aside for our son he gets here. I am 100% behind you on #9. Part of me wishes I could just make a registry that says "Instead of gifts, just donate to the college fund!" :D Thanks again!
I work full time as state law enforcement and part time private security. I almost always put my part time check in my saving every time I get paid. It helps a lot with my saving. Having two jobs helps me put some money aside!
Think the breast feeding thing is great if you can do it but goes beyond just wanting to do it, so prepare just incase it doesnt work out either way, you might not make enough milk. Used/hand me downclothes is definately the way to go, ive almost never bought either of my kids clothing outside of special occasions and a lot of hand me downs have the tags on them because another kid never even wore them. Toys we get handed down a lot too, just wipe them down or wash them and toss anything broken. Sure some hand me downs are junk but you can filter through and at a minimum cut down what you need to buy by just being open to anything. My daughter gets several trash bags per clothing size passed to her and i tend to keep about a dozen outfits and pass the rest onto another kid, so it helps multiple people, then pass on what she doesnt need anymore and i dont want to save for any future kids. If you do buy things, try to get gender neutral items when you can, theyre both easier to pass on or sell and easier to save for your future kids or nieces/nephews.
Im 16 years old me and my girlfriend are having a baby. Yes. I'm going to work weekly pay is about 450-500 dollars. I feel like I'm not getting enough. Is there any tips you could give me?

Have a family member take care of your child vs daycare. Although not always possible, if you have this luxury you can save thousands!
Sandor Garcia If you can afford t stay home it’s definitely a must! Just until they’re school age. Of course, that’s only if you can afford it.
Hey man great tips. I know it’s an old video but if you had a video showing what baby foods you make that would be awesome!
this was really helpful. We have been practicing some of these steps already, but doing all of them would definitely do wonders.

Great point! We will take note of that.

Watch videos by GaryVee and develop a hustle. Sell things you don't need and begin to buy and sell things that can provide cash.
Never use a 2nd hand baby mattress. Cot death risk
Best savings plan... a Vasectomy :). No kids, no extra spending for me.
Unfortunately the breastfeeding part of it have no little control over...
