Karate remains as one of the greates bands ever - the sound when i grew up with music long time ago, unforgettable. I would love to turn the time back…. thanks guys for your music ❤
@@pawelsilkin1328 its all reissues by the Numero Group as the band bought back their masters from Southern last year. There is nothing new and no new album i'm afraid tho potentially these reissues include tracks/singles that many ppl probably hadn't heard before
Nostalgia hit. One of my fav bands in my 20's. So many memories with these songs and friends who've drifted on. Bill Kenny, Donnie Cain, Melissa Carrico. I was 23 here.
Astonishing!! First heard this band 19 years ago and still genius and utterly criminal they were not appreciated for the amazing talent... just like Mark Eitzel and AMC!!!! So unfair
Love seeing Geoff excited to be playing this music! He is looking out into the crowd eager to be making connections to people with the pull and drama of his compositions. I had a chance to see Karate at Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn when I was in college in NJ and skipped it bc Pockets had just come out and we thought Karate would be around for much longer. Always always always go to the show, go to the party, to the jam, to the wedding, to the birthday just go. put yourself out there, and take advantage of every opportunity you have to form beautiful and exciting memories, such as I hope this one is for Geoff Farina.
Geoff Farina has a lot to do with the lack of Karate on this website. It appears I can't go into further detail without my comment getting deleted, but I'm sure you can figure it out.
Bernard Van Hecke honestly it’s all mine. Please take good care of the footage - there isn’t much out there. Stateside you’d be shocked these guys are largely unknown and under appreciated.
There's almost nothing on Spotify also. Hopefully they're not in some rights lawsuit fight or something. Wish their whole library was available somewhere but my mp3 collection is the only place I still have the records :(
Lol is that true? What exactly is he embarrassed of? He used the Fa**ot slur in one of his songs, which I don’t mind at all tbh, so maybe it’s stuff like that he’s “embarrassed” of in hindsight? I can’t imagine he’s embarrassed as the catalogue as a whole - there are some really great lyrics.
@@thezachzachattack yeah i think his lyrics are great too, but he thinks it's all cringe. He did an interview on 'Washed up emo' site.you can hear it there. 'Bad tattoo on every boy i see, this one's for you and it's a message from me, it's am image not a metaphor' class lyrics right there.
Plenty of introspective people have a hard time embracing their lyrics, especially ones that are years and decades old, that they might not identify with anympre.

numero group put them back up on streaming
😍😍😍😍
Thanks for the upload. So, were Karate big in Belgium? Or they just happened to have a good videography team for some Belgium gigs?
Sounds a bit like Cortez the Killer
especially the slint version
i heard an interview with Geoff Farina, the singer, and he doesn't like Karate and is embarrassed by his lyrics!
