RN thank you for this video it speaks to me. Was going down a long STEEP mountain hill hunting in WY in my UForce 1000 (maybe just went through some water) and it was touch and go there for a while; I was stomping on the brake as hard as I could yet going way too fast for my comfort. Yes I can engine brake but it eventually lets go and you end up stomping on the brakes anyway. There seems to be no way to hold the engine braking all the way down a hill else you just accelerate in low range and end up hitting the brakes anyway. Seems like a lot of work for 20% improvement but I'll take something over nothing. These stock brakes are horrible.
Thank you for that video, I thought it was just mine on my 22 Cforce 600, as I've been trying to deal with the brake squel right from the factory. I will place my order for a brake cylinder on your site soon.
i spent years working under car shops (remember speedy, now monroe) Im sure master was an issue, but i think problem will not be solved with a solid rotor. vented rotors stop better, ive seen no evidence cross drilled or sloted solids do anything for stopping power, just better cooling.
Heyy i just bough a 2023 uforce 1000xl i got no brakes at all have you tried anything else to get the beast to stop any better or is the master cylinder the trick
I tried everything. Different types of pads, new calipers, even put dual piston calipers on and none of it worked. The master is what worked for me. Some folks have bleed the system and got better brakes also. I bleed mine and no dice.
I saw you used DOT 3 fluid. Pretty sure it is supposed to be DOT 4. I have the Overland 1000 and she is on the portly side with her weight. The brakes work pretty well but I feel they could be better. Wondering if some quality metallic pads word make it better like EBC brand.
Well ya know, you dont have a brake-booster so you have to work with that. If you wanted to get really fancy you could take the electric booster off of a Tesla-- I hear they're very clever bits of engineering heheh. Good to see you doing R&D to solve a basic issue. As an auto-body guy, seeing brake fluid touch paint causes me to squirm - - - That stuff is paint stripper. Pressure wash that Uforce quick! I wonder if you could find a better source for pads. I wonder if the brake pads themselves might be a weak spot. I'd do a little investigating and see if something exists, or if a company that makes excellent pads for other applications could be encouraged to make pads for CFMoto.
Right. Yeah I had thought about that. But would require allot of modifications and would draw some power. We are testing out aftermarket brake pads and they are no better then OEM. You hear the squealing in the video yup even the aftermarket ones are noisy. For me I’m sticking with oem pads they seem to stop just as good as aftermarket but they last allot longer.

Thanks for the video, appreciate all the work you do testing these machines, full supporter of RNG!
Your very welcome 🙏 thank you 😊

Glad you got that Beast to stop better 👍
Me too for sure.

Thank you 🙏 I appreciate that allot.

Steve,
Did you ever get your new slotted rotors built and available to help with the braking on these machines? Any other new braking items to help?
No because they were going to be crazy expensive about 130$ per rotor so we chose not to.
Steve thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer my question, I really appreciate and that's why I've subscribed to your channel.

What is the difference between the old and new master? Piston diameter?
I don’t know I could not tell you to be honest.
Yikes, those rotors have some serious wear already!
Shit brakes lol.

Ok sweet I'm going to bleed the brakes this week and maybe adjust the pushrod if no go I deff will order the master cylinder
I've been trying to find a clutch for my Z-Force 800 2017. Can never find it on your website for some reason
I have them. That would be the aluminum clutch cover one. rngperformance.net/shop-parts-accessories/ols/categories/cfmoto-clutch-kits
Awsome video.. cant wait until I make this deal and get my cfmoto 800xc so I can start ordering some performance parts from you..
Heck yes that will be awesome 😎
@@R.N.GPerformance have any preferences or how would I contact you specifically
Any possibility you measured the clamping force at the calipers stock vs now?
I did with the but dyno and it metered out that it stops way better.
@@R.N.GPerformance lmbo
How bout if u run that hi pressure master with ss lines and dual piston calipers?
Possibly.
I was thinking the same. Can't imagine clamped line ever being any good. Could you imagine that on a car 😅

It calls for dot 3 or dot 4 they are the same fluid dot 4 just has a higher boiling point.
Awesome vid red 👍👍I’ll be ordering one for sure!! How do you adjust the e brake??
Thank you. You do it at the caliper I’m the rear. I set the ebrake then I adjust until tires are locked.
@@R.N.GPerformance cheers mate 👍👍
Maybe need better rotors?
