Deoxys comes to my mind as a pokemon that is beautiful but remains in the background, but it is also so old that it has no information, it has appeared so little, even in Pokemon Go, I can't think of one, only conkeldurr muk hariyama comes to my mind.
Say what you want about the Sun and Moon anime: the artstyle and general tone may lean more towards comedic, but when it gets deep, it REALLY gets deep! Alongside Lillie and Mallow, Litten’s story is heartbreaking.
I didn't like Sun & Moon as it aired tbh, but in retrospect, it's fantastic. It helps to know it all works out in the end, and Ash isn't just a schoolkid that regressed from owning a Greninja
I appreciate how seriously the anime took Litten's feelings about death and the death itself. How it's a very hard event to process but also how the person you cared about who died would still want you to live life to the fullest. Ash's Incineroar is one of my favorites he's ever had and I'm sure Stoutland was staring down and beaming brightly when his son beat his rival in spectacular fashion.
I still can never understand why the writers kept making the fire starters suffer so badly Like, Charmander was abandoned and nearly died, Chimchar was abused, Tepig was ditched and nearly starved and dehydrated, and Litten lost its mentor and guardian WHAT DID THE FIRE STARTERS DO TO DESERVE THIS?!
I watched through Sun and Moon during the pandemic quarantine because I wanted to watch something fun while the world was scary. Hadn’t watched Pokémon since DP when I was a kid. Was not expecting how gracefully and beautifully the show would tackle the topic of death and mourning lost loved ones. Really gave me a great impression of the series from the get go.
Another great and memorable fire type story... The writers never disappoint when it comes to the backstory of Ash’s fire types. His grass types may have the personalities... But the fire types had far better development. Incineroar's beginnings in dealing with death are honestly one of the best the anime ever dead... And it's rivalry with its fellow kind is second only to Infernape and Electivire, capping with one of the coolest and most deserved evolution of All-time. If only we saw him after he fully-evolved... Still... He is one of Ash’s best and for good reason.
@blackbulls8783 A mix. Greninja obviously had a good story and is one of Ash's strongest by far. Buizel had a great story too. Corphish and Squirtle were decent. Oshawott was good, not great. Kingler and Palpitoed... Don't go there. Dracovish... Little development... But suddenly strong in battle. Again, mixed bag.
19:51 Another reason why the Alola team stayed is so that they could support ultra-protectors in case they were needed. Maybe they went on duty during the journeys, trained, who knows, maybe they even played a match against inceneor.
The Pokémon anime loved giving fire starters tragic backstories. The death of Stoutland and how Litten reacted to it was so...real. Not to say the abuse stories of Charmander, Chimchar and Tepig weren't, they absolutely were, but Litten's backstory hits more close to me personally, especially nowadays since I lost my dog last year. Another great analysis, professor. Can't wait for the next class.
@@blackbulls8783 Pignite's story blatantly recycled story elements from Charizard's (burn ex-trainer in retaliation for being abandoned) and Infernape's (defeat ex-trainer in battle showing it got stronger and proved ex-trainer wrong). Because of this, along with not giving Ash meaningful development like Charizard (how to control disobedient Pokemon) and Infernape (power and strategy along with friendship can make good powerhouses) as well as not becoming Emboar, Pignite was the main reason why the "Fire-type starter abandoned by abusive trainer" story was banned from the anime forever.
And meanwhile they made water starters often times perverts and sometimes the Grass types also dealt with tragic events, but not nearly as breaking as fire starters.
Ash’s incineroars backstory was pignites done right! Obviously the writters were creative this time around instead of giving the fire starters the same old story of them being abandoned by their original trainers! And definitely thing ash’s incineroar should battle in the form of incineroar it hasn’t battled since it evolved in its final evolved stage. Anyways “Great Video & Happy Easter!.” 😁👏
Because Incineroar’s backstory is actually original. It’s a tragic backstory but it’s a completely different story that doesn’t involve being abandoned by his previous trainer
Oh yeah. The writers got the hint that the "fire-starter abandoned by abusive trainer" story was way overused after the two notable BW episodes, Evolution by Fire and The Fires of a Red Hot Reunion.
I don't don't think I can ever get through an early Litten and the Mellow focused episode without tearing up or crying. I have never cryed watch a Pokemon episode before but watching Sun and Moon would just break me.
All right, professor. You ate this title 😭. I've been waiting a long time for this video and am loving the SM Pokemon highlights lately. Thank you for the great work.

Incineroar's biggest match-ups it should've had after evolving would be Tapu Koko, Kiawe's Charizard, Professor Kukui's Incineroar, Volkner's Electivire, Steven Stone's Metagross, Leon's Charizard & half of his team it'll sweep through!
Incineroar will always be Ash's Ace in Alola since its his most powerful Pokémon & hoping it battles real soon being comparable to Ash's other aces such as Charizard, Sceptile, Infernape & Greninja!
Ash never really had a regional ace in alola. But it will mostly come down between Lycanroc and Incineroar. Let us not forget that Torracat beat Incineroar with help from Lycanroc who also injured it. Furthermore Lyncanroc beat 3 of island kahuna's pokemon in a row and beat Gladion's lycanroc
Ash's Incineroar is clearly a legendary king & champion for having the best backstory w/Stoutalnd & rivalry w/Professor Kukui's Incineroar its ever had ever since it joined Ash's team but wish'd it evolved sooner to get more battles as Incineroar the way his other aces did showing more of its strength for more character development afterwards it wants to keep getting stronger by wanting to face off stronger opponents which is why is should've been used for the Masters 8 in battle!
Just in general, it would've been nice to see Ash potentially use some of his old Pokemon for those battles instead of sticking strictly to his Journeys team. Besides what everyone points out far too often about Greninja and not getting a rematch with Alain, I think that the biggest missed potential for the Masters 8 battles was not getting to see Ash's old Pokemon return, and maybe having them all be 6 on 6 full battles. That aside, I don't think that seeing Torracat evolve into Incineroar was that exciting because we never got to see it do much of anything of significance after the fact, which I don't think was the right choice, personally. In fact, I kinda think that not having it evolve after beating Kukui's Incineroar would've been good enough, just because it would further show that it didn't need to evolve to reach it's full potential, similar to the narrative with Pikachu
It's a similar thing for me choosing Infernape in the Sinnoh games as my starter, but I quite like both fire type starters. They also arguably had the best stories of any starter Pokemon Ash owned in my opinion, too
Thank god for Pokémon 2 B A Master letting us know more about Incineroar! It was a good touch having it faint after beating its rival and evolving. Wasn’t expecting it!
Incineroar is clearly one of my favorite Pokémon on Ash's team ever since it evolved but wish'd it evolve sooner or battle against Tapu Koko to show off its strength becoming his strongest Pokémon in battle!
Thanks for making me cry again by reminding of what Litten gone through before Ash captured him. 😢 Writers really cook hard with Incineroar, giving him 2nd best pokemon arc after Infernape and one of the best if not the best pokemon rivalry.
Torracat’s evolution was similarly to how Whitebeard died in One Piece, Ash’s Incineroar now has the championship belt, Stoutland must be beyond proud of his boy as he watches him from heaven. It’s too bad we didn’t see this Incineroar use Malicious Moonsault anytime before Ash’s journey finally came to an end.
It's great that Ash's Torracat had finally evolved into Incineroar at last during the battle against Professor Kukui and his Incineroar but I still it has evolved earlier before Ash compete in the Alola League instead the near end of Pokemon Sun and Moon Series. Because I would like to see more of Ash's Incineroar especially seeing some new powerful moves but at least in Pokemon: Aim To Be a Master have made up for it as we did get to Ash's Incineroar in action as it already learn Darkest Lariat.

Although Torracat had to say goodbye to Stoutland once more after learning fire blast in the magical mist, Stoutland was likely looking down at Torracat upon his win against Kukui’s Incineroar and evolved into his final form.
I wonder if Stoutland could actually be Litten’s biological father, not just adoptive father. They’re in the same egg group, and it’s the mother that passes on the species while the father passes on the moves, such as FIRE FANG

personally i feel ash's litten is the most if not top 3 chad of his mons.... literally grown powerful enough to hit incineroar just to pass out... legendary
Although we were straight up robbed of him properly battle as an Incineroar, he’s still a remarkable Pokémon. One Ash’s Alola team would never be the same without
The alola 3 lycannroc rowlet and incineroar are all impressive they all defeated their evolved forms becoming stronger help in the league and showed their warrior spirit
You know he's a goat when he has only four losses, anyways Inceneroar has the best story arc from all of Ash's Pokemon and my favorite among his Alolan mons after Dusk Lycanroc
It's a shame that we didn't really see Incineroar fighting after his evolution, but it's a really good Pokemon ! With a good developpement, the episode when he was catch was one of the best.
13:54 when he says that by learning fire blast it learned a move that was unique from all his fire type predecessors, what exactly does he mean by that? Don’t all fire starters learn fire blast, overheat, or flare blitz?
@@ProfessorAlexSilver oh that makes sense. Now that I think about it Ash does have certain Pokémon who kinda have signature moves like how Infernape is the only one of his fire types to learn Flare Blitz and how Noctowl used foresight to lock in on Morty’s Ghost types.
Got to love Miss Orbitz’s work for us all on doing Litten and Torracat, for our favorite anime series. May we be all thankful for wonderful voice artists who we have as heroes or father/mother figures like her as an example as we grew up or heard through the animes and cartoons through our life on earth among fellow fans! And on my end. I am extremely thankful to whatever gives us life for me being followed on Instagram by her, along with two other heroes of mine there as some special pieces of my own life as a Pokémon fan which I am glad to have as much being a student of yours Professor Silver. Always thankful when you do these videos to get us happy as your class! 😄🫶🏻
It weird how all of Ash fire starter (expect Quilava) has "abandoned" in their backstory and yet each one is almost the same but different. Charizard was left to die and become arrogant and lazy like his original trainer but regained his loyalty. Paul never lies to Chimchar about coming back and actually did saw his potential but could never active it and while he does now realize Infernape is strong, he doesn't lie or manipulate him into rejoining his team and letting him be with Ash is the actually the kindest thing he ever did for him. Pignite got the worst because his trainer was the worst as he enjoys watching Tepig suffer and probably doesn't care about his other pokemons but Pignite never reach his full potential because Ash kept switching pokemon. I guess it was theme to make fire starter more popular
@@ProfessorAlexSilver hehehehe, yeah, I only wish ashes Rowlet fully evolved to show Ash is able to get all his Pokémon to fully evolve regularly now compared to before, at least if they want to
I wish Stoutland could've seen it grown into the Incineroar it is now. It's the real Alolan Ace of his team in my opinion. Ash's Incineroar looks as powerful as both his Charizard & his Infernape. The Journey's series should've let Ash use it in battles in the WCS against a Regional Champion like Steven Stone. If it Had the moves Blast Burn & Flare Blitz, plus it's signature Z- move, It'd be even more powerful. Plus I was hoping to see it beat Ultra Beasts too. It could potentially beat even a legendary or mythical like Zeraora.
Incineroar is definitely the most impressive of ashs pokemon in a while (at least at the time) although lycanroc kinda stole his chance at being an ace but i dont blame them, there are both awesome
Which Pokemon should we ttackle next? I'm leaning towards an anime history, similar to Sableye, any requests?

6:51 Remember Who You Are!!!
The alola 3 lycannroc rowlet and incineroar are all impressive they all defeated their evolved forms becoming stronger help in the league and showed their warrior spirit
Happy Easter
I hope Incineroar comes back in horizons if it takes place in the same universe we grew up in
You know he's a goat when he has only four losses, anyways Inceneroar has the best story arc from all of Ash's Pokemon and my favorite among his Alolan mons after Dusk Lycanroc
Great title
It's a shame that we didn't really see Incineroar fighting after his evolution, but it's a really good Pokemon ! With a good developpement, the episode when he was catch was one of the best.
So sad :(
Back to back Alolan Pokémon classes?? Bettttttt!!!!
I have another planned soon :)
Would of loved to see Incineroar shine in at lest one battle to show off its strength after fully evolving, but still love this wrestling tiger
Incineroar is just the goat
100%
Serena pancham ?Was that made with an eevee and delphox in my mind?
13:54 when he says that by learning fire blast it learned a move that was unique from all his fire type predecessors, what exactly does he mean by that?
Don’t all fire starters learn fire blast, overheat, or flare blitz?
I meant that it was the only one of Ash's Pokemon (at the time) to know the move. So, it made its moveset more unique
Can we see you do: Butterfree, Bayleef, Corphish, Scraggy, and the rest of Gengar they are the final Ash Regional Pokemon you have yet to talk about
Scraggy should be within the next month or two, I already shot it :)
Sadly We don't get to see Ash's Incineroar Fight in Battles, And I wish We saw Him fight in battles in his final evolution.
Finally it be so long for waiting ❤
You should do Hawlucha, or Gengar’s full story next.
Please cover ash's hawlucha and also goodra in your upcoming videos
On my to do list 👌
The real cat's meow! The Tiger's Eye of my eye!
Professor Alex you are one of my favorite pokemon Tubers ever I hope you do the history on chinderace.
I find it ironic a fire starter pokemon is one of, if not the best pokemon to use in competative
Best in the show and best in the games
@@ProfessorAlexSilver hehehehe, yeah, I only wish ashes Rowlet fully evolved to show Ash is able to get all his Pokémon to fully evolve regularly now compared to before, at least if they want to
Ash's incineroar has a great storyline the poor orphan cat to the most powerful pokemon in alola
100%!
My Incineroar would have these moves:
- Fire Punch
- Trailblaze
- Aerial Ace
- Protect
They might have goh's pokemons, cinderace, inteleon, grokey etc.
Some day! I covered his dewgong and Scizor recently
Nicely work.
Nice video alex
Incineroar is definitely the most impressive of ashs pokemon in a while (at least at the time) although lycanroc kinda stole his chance at being an ace but i dont blame them, there are both awesome
Since Ash is officially no longer in the series, could you do a part 2 on pikachu’s video?
Can you please do Ash’s Naganadel? From Poipole to Ultra Beast. Naganadel is one of my favorite Ash Pokémon.
The King of VGC
XD
Also please make a video on ashs bayleef!
Some day!
The VGC tournament menace
They could have at least made Pignite like this. Pignite could have been another monster for Ash's team if it evolved into an Emboar.
100% Pignite evolving against Cameron as the ace, and defeating Lucario would've been epic! Double evolution
You’ve already done two of the Alola Pokemon soon you’ll have to do Rowlet.
Melmetal will be next :) I still need to write Rowlet
Me mentally trying to cope with meeting friendly new people: 8:11
XD
