I would recommed the book "Bill Sienkiewicz: Revolution" if you don't already have it. Chock full of amazing art and interviews.

My kind of haul. The silver age is my favourite era. One of my favourite parts of the hobby is picking up cheap reader copies and cleaning them up. Great pick ups. We have something similar over here called a car boot. I bought my first ever Marvel comic at one - Hulk #340 for £4. My best find at one was probably the first silver age Scarecrow for £1. Keep up the great work. From a big UK fan.

That's a really solid haul! Nothing against Melvin Monster, but I would have grabbed that Crime Does Not Pay. I have a hardcover collection of that series, and it was written and drawn by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. It's pretty cool how many different genres of comics those two worked on over the years outside of superheroes. But you definitely made some awesome choices, my guy

Hi Mike, I was in Grafton only last week. Not the one you visited but the one on the North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. No flea market but I did buy a delicious meat pie for lunch from a great bakery. That was indeed Captain Ultra on the She-Hulk cover; all those powers but he faints at the sight of an open flame. Great satirical character created by Roy Thomas and George Perez during their FF run. I think all the comics are great choices. The Daredevil issue reminded me that The Jester was an important DD villain in the 1960s and early 70s.
Thanks for the great comment! Meat Pies are big in New England especially for us French-Canadians. Thanks for the info and I actually saw an early DD first appearance of the Jester the other day, I’ll have to talk about that in a future video!

This sounds funny but I actually get happy to see kinda beat up rather than really pristine silver age books because I want to read them, and if they’re in really good condition I’m afraid to mess them up so I’ll read it digitally😂 but if they’re beat up I can read them and usually they have a better price.
Do the digital copies include ads or letter pages? If not it’s such a cool time capsule thing you’d miss out on.

The Detective #345 is actually the first appearance of Blockbuster … And for me with that purple cover they always seemed to look pretty beat up.

I hit the RI flea market on occasion...not great...but the first day it was open this year I got some nice old Tales To Astonish, including first Porcupine. Glad to see you are on IG finally. We are hitting Cliff's Con on the 27th...you going?
Interesting, I didn’t know about Cliff’s Con. The 27th is the same weekend of the Northeast ComicCon but that one is all weekend long so I might be able to hit both. Maybe I’ll see you there! Coincidentally I was in Plainville yesterday filming a comic video, so look for that one sometime in December.
