That’s long been an issue with MirrOdines with their plastic beads instead of stainless ones, they get stuck in crevices in the cavity and it’s irritating. I’ve actually drilled small holes and inserted 2-3 metal beads in there and covered the hole with silicon gel. The metal beads knock against the plastic beads and loosen them, and give the entire lure more rattle to add to the flash. I’ve seen no difference in balance or twitch performance, along with single in-line hook swaps.
I usually get a pair of the same baits. And on one of them, I'll drill two holes in one of them, big enough to fill rattle chamber with epoxy. That way I have a silent version, and a noisy one. Sometimes I'll get another one, and repaint it solid black, for night-time action.
@@edwardlopez461 hmm, I have enough originals that have stopped rattling to meet that “silent stalker” role. Also, Capt CA Richardson has his custom model “duck tape and shovels” to meet my dark MirrOdine needs.
@@flatsclasscharters thanks, my fishing partner and I were just discussing it and we’ve both taken new ones out of the package with pre-stuck rattles, silent as a graveyard.
That EZ money 17mr of yours is a redfish snack. They love it. Have you had issues with the beads sticking in the 17mr? I have quite a few that I have to tap on to get the beads to move.
HOW DO WE GET THE SOLID PEARL MIRROLURES YOU THROW?!?!?!!? They look insanely efficient but I can’t afford to order 60 mirrolures, any chance we’ll see the plug available to the public???
Love the 17mr for quantity of bites... definitely a go to artificial! 27mr gets the nod for a bigger profile and baitcasting gear. 🤙🦀🌴
Great class! Thanks…
High Noon
I was smoking huge Spec's during June & July this year S of Houston. I could only get them to hit the 17mr & the Texas Chicken Fat Boy
Love that bait-I wish they would fix the stuck rattle issue though

I’ll look into this… haven’t experienced it

Hey guys, can you tell me what rods are using and the specifications?
My absolute go to for 1/4 ounce mirrolure is the 4M.
The 17 is great but that 4M gets me more strikes! I wish they had more color ways with it though.
In which store can I find the green rod you are showing?

Exactly.
Are the 17MR best in the smaller creeks and rivers or can they be used around inlets or beaches?
Yea it is

Do you think FL. anglers will ever wake up to casting tackle, at least to a point where you include it alongside spinners on your tackle tips?
Too much live bait fishing here
Waiting for an episode where you fish with the 52mr.
