A totally required food group, breakfast or supper, here on the farm, always with mucho bacon and real Vermont maple syrup . Great recipe and griddle technique.
I always have Buttermilk on hand. How much Buttermilk should I use in place of your milk/vinegar mixture? Maybe 2 1/2 cups of buttermilk to equal the milk + vinegar amounts. Thanks for your help.
I imagine, it would be the same as the milk measurement. He's only adding the vinegar to curdle the milk. It won't taste like buttermilk. I also use dry buttermilk and hydrate when needed.
They look great and the orange zest is an interesting concept.. We’ll have to try that 🍊 Yeah, I could do that whole stack🥞 and definitely 10 on the bacon 🥓scale, no limpy bacon for me😖
thanks. this will be our recipe for a special family 7-7-7-70-70 birthday party. that's right: 3 seven year old grandchildren and my wife and I in one joined pancake breakfast birthday party.
Those definitely look very good pancakes, I will be trying your recipe. This is basically the recipe I always us but with the addition of baking soda. Thanks Nate 😃🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤
A more-than-5-stars (like 12? If that’s legal?); for me, maybe with a strawberry syrup as I’m not a fan of maple…. Really wanna try these for a snack sometime…
NOOOOOO! Buttermilk pancakes MUST have buttermilk! Milk and ACV are ONLY a worst case scenario, where no buttermilk is available. So, I don’t think you can claim they are “the very best buttermilk pancakes of your life”. Also, yes on the bacon grease, no on the sugar.
Thanks for putting the recipe and measurements in the description. I wish more of the cook’s would do this.
Bacon is cooked based on it's application. As a side, leave a little chew(mostly crunchy). More crispy for sandwhiches.
Just made some of these and my family loves them! I substituted the apple cider vinegar with rice vinegar and it still worked pretty well.
Looks good I could eat them...crispy bacon the best with hot syrup 😊..gonna try the recipe
You're going to love it!
Best ever. I use this exactly every time. Sometimes, I use buckwheat flour for my celiac family members.
We love the customization!

Thanks for watching!
3 of those sized pancakes, just dark maple syrup, 4 strips of 7.5 bacon, cup of coffee. Great Sunday morning right there.
Amen!! And coffee!
Sounds like the perfect Sunday morning.
Sounds like another great recipe to try! 8 on the bacon. How many of that size pancake did this recipe make?
This recipe makes 6-8 servings.
Oh man I could smell and taste those while watching. Impressive breakfast.
A mouthwatering video for sure.
Looks really good! going to try real soon. Just one question, how hot is the griddle?
I always have Buttermilk on hand. How much Buttermilk should I use in place of your milk/vinegar mixture? Maybe 2 1/2 cups of buttermilk to equal the milk + vinegar amounts. Thanks for your help.
I would like to know also. We keep dry buttermilk on shelf and rehydrate what is needed.

Great idea on the dry buttermilk! My parents never used dry so I forgot that it existed. This is what I need for the frequency of my use.
Definitely bacon level 10. There should be no squeal left in that bacon.
Where’s the butter between each layer?!
Never enough butter!
Thanks again. I like a little butter with mine. But that thick battery looks awesome. Going to try it.
That's what we love to hear!
Looking forward to try the legendary pancakes!
That's what we like to hear!
The only think i would add is some sliced bananas to the batter. Oh soo good.
That would be a great addition!
They look great and the orange zest is an interesting concept.. We’ll have to try that 🍊
Yeah, I could do that whole stack🥞 and definitely 10 on the bacon 🥓scale, no limpy bacon for me😖
Orange zest is a great addition to your pancakes. Hope you try it!
We use separate pork fat for pancakes. My best recipe is pancakes with yeast - much more fluffy. Thanks for video ❤
Thanks for sharing that interesting tidbit.
Those look great.
Thanks, Jerry!
How long would those dry ingredients keep of you mixed em up and saved for later?
My cheat meal is 6 eggs, 6 large pancakes, and 2 glasses of milk.
Room temp butter on each then real maple syrup. Lots of level 7 bacon. mmmmmm 🥞🥓
🔥 🔥 🔥
Ummm so so so yummy 😋
We're glad you liked the recipe. Thanks for watching!
Great tutorial
Thanks for watching!
thanks. this will be our recipe for a special family 7-7-7-70-70 birthday party. that's right: 3 seven year old grandchildren and my wife and I in one joined pancake breakfast birthday party.
Can you mix up batter the night before then use in morning
I am a 7-8 kind of guy. Yes I would eat the pancakes.
Definitely a 10 here for both of us, we have a friend that's a 2 though.
I'm a 6 or 7 on the bacon crispy scale. - I'm with you Nate - 1 maybe 2 pancakes max. They sure look fluffy and good! - Cheers!
Sounds like the perfect combination!
Floppy bacon is LIFE!
If you can't eat all 4 and the bacon I question your manliness plus it needs 2 eggs over medium on the side
You forgot the dollop of butter on top.
These look great!
I'll take 4!!
One or two pancakes at most. Bacon 2 or 3, 5 is the absolute max.
Best pancakes “CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU DID IT!!!”
They're a must-try for sure!
Another great munchie treat…thanks 😎
Thanks for watching!
Definitely throw a few of those down Nate! Looks amazing. 10 on the bacon 🥓 here.Cheers brother 🍻🍻
Cheers! 🔥
Bacon a 9 or a 10. Give me 4 of those cakes in my stack!
A perfect combination!
Can I just add straight buttermilk instead of the milk and cider ?
You can make it however you want!
I Will Eat All 6 Pancakes
I would eat a stack of delicious pancakes! You’re talking about 5 stacker!
Right on!
3. Maybe 4?
10 Bacon 1 Big pancake!❤
Can't go wrong with that!
I make mine a little bigger and normally I can eat 4 . If I’m really hungry I’ll eat 5. But I won’t eat bacon or sausage if I have that many.
Those definitely look very good pancakes, I will be trying your recipe. This is basically the recipe I always us but with the addition of baking soda. Thanks Nate 😃🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤
Thanks, Nae!
3 hotcakes ❤

Strawberry syrup would be delicious!
With bacon I'm all about that thick cut but on a crispy scale I'm about a 3-4. Gotta be chewy.
Why veg oil & not butter?
Butter!
4 pieces of bacon 2 cakes=nap
You know the food was good when there is a nap after.
@@BlackstoneGriddles yes sir….. yes sir…….
8 for crispness
2 cakes all the bacon at a 10!
Definitely 4 pancakes and 7 on the bacon
Right on 👍
Pancakes are a great thing to eat anytime of the day!
Absolutely!
Yum I'd eat 3 or4 and my bacon. Well done soft about a 7.882 doneness lol😂
Bacon definitely at 10. Thanks for the recipe. Definitely a comfort food.
Absolutely!
Pancakes look great! Bacon should be a 6.
A great choice.
No bacon grease though.
I would put all the bacon between two pancakes and eat it like a sandwich
Oh gotta have crispy bacon but not tooth breaking crispy 😄
NO VANILLA! NO LEMON ZEST!
🥞🥓🍳☕🆗️
👍
I like my bacon no more than 5. Otherwise it just turns to dust....
Fair point.
🎶Tiny Bubbles 🎵🎶 😃
5
Perfect middle ground.

👍
Flour you bacon. It will change your life
Interesting tip.
Gimme a 6-7 on the bacon.
Needs to have a little crisp!
I’m a total “5!”
bacon 5 or 6
A solid middle ground. We respect it.
