    Price as reviewed: $30 (for purple, or as low as $15 for other colors)
    Gaming Headset with Microphone for Pc, Xbox One Series X/s, Ps4, Ps5, Switch, Stereo Wired Noise Cancelling Over-Ear Headphones with Mic, RGB, for Computer, Laptop, Mac, Nintendo, Gamer (White Purple)
    These are solid gaming headphones. The plastic feels tough, the cord has woven fabric sheathing and good stress relief over-molded where it meets the headphones.
    The microphone and cord are on the left ear (not reversible), and audio is via the 3.5mm 4 pole TRRS jack. The headphones include an adapter to break this out to a dual 3pole TRS jacks if your computer has separate mic and headphone jacks.
    The USB port does not enumerage or provide USB audio, it is simply to grab power for the LED lights (which are just on or off, no flashing, not reactive to sounds, etc....)
    I have a larger head and felt they were squeezing in with a bit more pressure than I would like, but I expect that will ease up over time. The ear cups are comfortable.
    Audio quality is reasonable, both for the headphones and microphone.
    At the $30 price point they are a solid offering, but if you are willing to give up color choice I've seen other colors as low as $15, which makes them a screaming deal.

      Make sure the 3.5mm audio plug is all the way in. If the device doesn't detect the plug it won't transfer the audio to the headphones. If that isn't the problem, you may have a bad jack, or the plug/wire on your headphones may be bad, in which case you would have to return them.

    Stupid question, but if the PS5 USB port is on the PS5, and the USB cord for the headset isn’t that long, does that mean the headphones cannot light up if I’m using them normally?

      You can plug the headphone USB port into a power bank if you want to light it up. But yes the USB plug does have to be powered if you want the lights.

    Do the lights only flash if the USB part is plugged in?

    • @summetj
      @summetj  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it requires the USB port to be plugged in to power the lights. So if you don't want the lights, you can leave it unplugged.

      I don't know for sure, but I suspect so. If it has a headphone out jack, or a aux out and mic in jack as most computers do, it should work. If it has a 5v USB-A slot, you can plug them in to get the lights.

    Is there a battery slot in the headphones

    • @summetj
      @summetj  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, they must be plugged into a USB 5v power source (USB-A port) to have the light effects. (Although you could use a portable powerbank to power them via battery.)

      Although it's possible that you have a defective mic unit, the more likely explanation is a software configuration error within the OS audio system or whatever application you are using. [Also, if your computer has a separate headphone out and mic in jack, you'll need a splitter to convert from the mic/speaker TRRS plug to two different Mic + speaker TRS plugs.]
