    Hey dude, nice video! I recently bought an 26331 Panda, and I noticed in your video too, that the second-subdial is not stopping when your adjusting the hour&minute hand. I have the same case. Do you know why? Maybe because the Movement has too much power loaded? I've never had this case with any of my rolexes.

    • @TheWatchCEO
      @TheWatchCEO  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This feature is called 'hacking seconds' and allows you to set the time perfectly to the nearest seconds. As far as I'm aware, the AP chronograph movements doesn't have this feature.

    So the “seconds hand” isn’t really a seconds hand? It’s just for timing?

    • @TheWatchCEO
      @TheWatchCEO  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In this case, your seconds hand is the one in the subdials. The main one is just a timer. You can still use it as your seconds hand if you leave the chrono running, but it’s not recommended. More wear to the watch and the power drains much faster

    • @Stingraypress
      @Stingraypress 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheWatchCEO that’s such a weird design… do you know why they made it like that? Like why the seconds hand is a timer and the seconds function is on one of the chrono dials?

    • @TheWatchCEO

      @@Stingraypress it’s just how chronograph function was designed in watches. You can always opt in for a classic Royal Oak without chronograph function. It’s all personal preference

    I let it started, after 30-40 minutes the big arrow stops, returns to 12? Problem?

    • @TheWatchCEO
      @TheWatchCEO  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In order to use the chronograph function, you need to wind the watch manually quite a few times. The function itself needs a lot of power in order to keep running.

  • @larrytinnin3357
    @larrytinnin3357 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My watch just recently started only running for maybe 5 min then stops?

    • @TheWatchCEO
      @TheWatchCEO  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Before you send it for a watchmaker's inspection, make sure the watch gets enough power to run throughout the day. First thing is to wind the watch 30-40 times, using the crown and then give it a little twist. Majority of watches are automatic, so the winding rotor would keep the watch 'charged', however, occasionally, you still need to wind it with the crown. If that doesn't help, it might be a case of a faulty or loose part inside the movement.

    • @larrytinnin3357
      @larrytinnin3357 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seen Through Wrist thanks I tried it at 40 windings, it still stops after a min or so. I will try again and wear it immediately and see

    • @TheWatchCEO
      @TheWatchCEO  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Larry Tinnin give it 24 hours. Fully wind and set the right time. Hope it’s nothing serious with the watch! Keep well!

    • @larrytinnin3357
      @larrytinnin3357 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seen Through Wrist hey, I have not touched it but I see that it stops and stops on it’s own, it has accumulated 4-5 hours since it stop through the night. little background (may not matter) it’s a rose gold royal oak offshore, purchased new little less than two years ago (which maybe under warranty), I also have the AP elephant purchased new same time-ish with no issues, more or less same watch, one rose gold other stainless. I will leave the rose gold alone for another day or two, however do you think I should occasionally pick up and rotate the watch once or twice?

    • @TheWatchCEO
      @TheWatchCEO  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@larrytinnin3357 It seems that there might be an issue with the movement of your Offshore. Despite, these watches are heavy hitters, the movements are quite fragile. Best if you get in touch with AP and leave a note saying the watch doesn't function correctly. After the lockdown is over, you can take it to AP and they will fix it under warranty. All watches, even new ones, are like classic cars with plenty of different moving parts. Some might be loose and hence affect the accuracy of your watch. In the mean time, you can do as you suggested, however these watches should run regardless, provided that fully wound. The average power reserve in watches of major luxury brands range between 24-72 hours.

    Can't get my crown back in what is the way?

    • @TheWatchCEO
      @TheWatchCEO  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      First, make sure that you are in winding position and not in date or time setting (so push the crown all the way in and you should hear a subtle click or two). In most cases when it's hard to get the screw back in place, it's because of some dirt or polishing compound just where the crown goes to the case. However, push the crown firmly, whilst screwing it back steadily clockwise.

    I’m not sure about this AP… i think it’s fake… normally, if you adjust the time, the left dial has to move with the time. So if you set the time on 6 o’clock, then the left dial will be on 3, and if you set the time on 12 o’clock at noon, the left dial will be set at 6, so you can see if it’s am or pm! And this one didn’t move…

    • @TheWatchCEO
      @TheWatchCEO  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m not sure if I understand your logic. This AP is a chronograph. The time doesn’t move on the sub-dials, unless the chronograph is activated. You can’t set the time on sub-dials.

    • @vali69
      @vali69 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That sounds like a 24 hour subdial, don't think there's anything like that on any ap complication, neither moonphase nor perpetual calendar. Tho it is popular on fake watches with cheap movements so maybe you were the one who was looking at cheap fakes trying to imitate chronographs.
