    This is what Hyrule Field looks like when I have a fever and spend the entire day in bed playing OoT and I end up having a fever dream about it.

    The sheer model quality and uniqueness in your set pieces for the maps is truly astonishing.
    And this is coming from someone who's been a semi-onlooker to the OoT modding scene since 2010 or so.
    I know the road will be rough, but if you somehow manage to complete a romhack with this kind of detail, I'll for sure be playing it day one.

    No matter how many remasters of this game they put out, the polygons will never age.

      Polygons are fine, textures are not.

    The absolute size of this hub is very impressive yet even more impressive is how every area has something going on

  • @HighPriestFuneral

    This looks excellent! It feels legitimately made, the textures all fit and the nooks and crannies really add a sense of adventure that I feel the original Hyrule Field was severely lacking (but they learned their lesson for MM, I feel).

    This is... Some of the best stuff I've ever seen in the modding scene! MAN this looks official! So pretty. Even the desert area looks very unique and not just a typical desert, but more like a dry salt flat or something. If you make a rom hack, it will be the prettiest one I've seen.

    This is like one of those pseudo nightmares you have about a place you been to before but it looks different than what you remember and it unnerves you until you wake up in a cold sweat wondering why did your brain make some weird mishmash of a memory you have.

      It's like when one dreams of a film that you have seen a lot of times and feels the same in esence, but it's different in spectacle

    I've only just come across these videos and I'm so curious as to what the backstories are going to be for these areas. Can't wait to see this project finished!

  • @CEtro569

    This looks sick, I can't wait to play it! If I could make one suggestion though? I think the darkness of the grass texture makes link pop out less, one key aspect in game/environment design is facilitating the salience of the hero assets (the literal hero in this case). The actual contrast of the grass texture also brings a lot of attention for something that should be essentially invisible. The theming, modelling, and atmosphere of this area is absolutely gorgeous though and I'm keen to see how this all turns out

    • @MisterHeroman
      @MisterHeroman 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I disagree. The grass is fine.

  • @ArcRay20
    @ArcRay20 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    something about the grass texture kept making me think this was like a condensed version of Hyrule Field😆
    that transition to the desert area was real neat though.
    edit: looking at your previous maps and seeing the descriptions, i think these maps could use some slight extra flourish.
    they all look good conceptually, but look a little dry.
    granted, you have stated in the previous uploads that you are experimenting with the tools you have so just getting it working
    in the game would be the main goal.
    that being said, you obviously dont need to change a thing. this is your creation, do what you want and have fun with it.😎 i just like looking at what people make with these tools and end up stating how i feel when seeing them.

    Seeing things like this evoke that same sense of wonder that came over me the very first time I explored Hyrule. It’s like a piece of me exists in these colourful, nostalgic, geometric worlds. That being said, to this day I have yet to try a rom hack or anything Zelda 64 that’s custom made like this. I’m aware of some bigger ones like The Sealed Temple. Besides that one, can you recommend me some essential Zelda rom hacks to play and how to play them? Great job btw and thank you!

    how did you imagine the name “eweron sward”?
    it sounds like something from the hobbit or something.

    • @ottopippenger1590
      @ottopippenger1590 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Eweron is almost an anagram/reversal of "nowhere" like in Troll 2, the town is called Erehwon and Sward means field/grassy plain; this being equivalent to Hyrule Field.
