NITI Aayog Vs Opposition: Walkouts & Boycotts | Netagiri Over Ideas & Plans? | NewsX

PM Narendra Modi has chaired NITI Aayog meeting today. The meeting has been boycotted by Chief Ministers of Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana to mark the protest against the recent Union budget. While from the opposition, only West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee decided to attend the meeting. But she walked out of the meeting claiming that she wasn't allowed to speak for the given time frame. Meanwhile in the press conference, NITI Aayog's representative mentioned that she was given enough time to speak and walked out of the meeting as she had a flight to catch. Now, NITI Aayog was brought in after scrapping planning commission so that Centre and state can work together as one body. However, today's meeting did not serve that purpose.
